I fought not to go to IKEA because I thought it was all 'super mod-cheap' --- but after heading over there --- they have totally changed my mind. I am there once a month --- and they are much more than furniture. Great home goods selection and the prices are extremely reasonable. Decided to check out Ikea. We actual came to check out the food at their restaurant. I might be in the minority but the food was overrated. I felt as if we were eating cafeteria food, no bueno. Maybe if we came around lunch hr the food would have been fresh & taste better but we went around 3pm. However the chocolate almond cake was great! We did get some window shopping accomplished after our meals. The furniture is modern contemporary & affordable, can understand why this place is popular with consumers. Plus it is HUGE, perfect to walk off the calories we've just consumed. It is very organized & the signage helps direct you to your destination. Love the concepts that IKEA implements into their products which helps make us feel ever more spoiled; I do give them that much credit. However some of their product lines' quality isn't up to par. I= incredible selection of everything, and I mean EVERTHING. looking for a new spoon? they have it. need a new comforter? they have them [3000 of them!] how about an entire new room? you got it :) what about some Swedish meatballs and other random foods? come on down! I bought two pieces of furniture, both contained broken pieces - there is literally no number to reach the store, so based off of internet research, came in to replace the broken parts. Let me start by saying that this IKEA is the largest in the US. Be prepared for large weekend crowds as well, so highly recommend weeknights or mornings if you can help it. Regardless, IKEA has capitalized on the home decor market, especially for smaller space, budget friendly consumers. Please keep in mind that not all furniture is equal. I can speak from experience that furniture made from particle board (i.e. TV stands) does not hold up well during moves. I tend to shop for lighting here because I really enjoy their selection and consistency among fixtures and bulbs. You can also find great statement fixtures if you are looking for some "wow" action in your place. My only complaint is that unless you have been to an IKEA before, it can be tricky to navigate if you only want to see a certain item for a room. I recommend looking at the map posted by the entrance to see if you can cut some corners while walking through the store. read more

There are so many things that could be reviewed at IKEA. This review in particular is for their food and childcare. I won't use this opportunity to talk about my wife dragging me through an endless maze in order to buy a bunch of furniture that will take me hours to assemble. That is for a different day. This review is for the food. IKEA's food court is extremely family friendly and very reasonably priced. My entire family eats for $20. The usual is the chicken meatballs for mom and dad and the kids chicken plate for the kids. The first Sunday of the month there is a free art area for the kids when they are finished eating. Genius idea. The only downside is the lack of regular soft drinks. The childcare staff are extremely friendly and helpful. My kids look forward to playing there. The only downside is the 1 hour limit. If they forced my wife out of the store, I'd be happy but instead it turns into a midway kid pick up. Overall, IKEA has built an afternoon experience. We pass by the 500sqft mini house set ups and foolishly think we could live in that arrangement, but it's all good fun. Thanks IKEA. read more

Tip: find the shortcuts through the maze. Start on the lower level (no need to to through the showroom). There are some treasures hidden in this maze of IKEA. The giant cutting board for 10 bucks, the led lights/lighting section, house plants, tuppaware, kitchen utensils, cheap gizmos. They could use a real coffee bar. Not sure what the regulations are for this county during this stage of COVID - but we went on a Saturday (huge mistake) and there was no enforcement of distancing or even regulation of how many people could be in the store. THE STORE WAS PACKED people were lining up to pay no spaced out stacked on top of each other. There were a few people walking around maskless and employees did not approach them, I understand it can be awkward but no mask = no entrance. If you have to go then go on a weekday or prepared to feel super claustrophobic. read more

I think we all know what to expect when it comes to Ikea- cheap furniture that'll require your sweat and tears once you bring it home. Come here if you're ok with that. My husband and I decided we were, and all we needed were some nightstands for our bedroom, just anything will do for now. We browsed the store a bit, dodging all the areas we didn't need to look at (and by dodging, I mean charging through). I anticipated that our visit on a Saturday would be quite chaotic and I was having some anxiety about going, but it all turned out to be a pretty peaceful visit. I was able to shop and browse as I pleased without too much trouble. The only annoyance while in-store really, was the dang shopping cart that goes in all directions! Why don't they change those? I can't imagine how it must be when they have busy times and people don't know how to drive those carts. It's like an ab workout. Anyway, we got what we needed (and then a few more things we weren't planning on), and we are happy with our purchases. My only major gripe is how long it took us to put those dang nightstands together, but it's all done now so I'll stop whining about it. read more

Worst customer service with incompetent workers! I've tried emailing a question, it's been about a week, I still have yet to get a reply. Also, friday after work I didn't want to drive all the way there if they did not have what I wanted, so I called as soon as I left work. The drive is about 45mins, no one even picked up the phone!! The automated man just kept repeating saying that a customer rep will be with me shortly... BULLSHIT! So then, I just went into the store and talked to a worker in the cafe, not only did she act like she didn't care, she did not have one bit of knowledge on anything. She then suggests that I talk to the worker at the other register, who has 10people in line... WOW come on. She didn't have anyone else to serve and she couldn't go and find out?!!?!?!! Wow.... We had the worst experience at Ikea and will never be going back. NEVER. We had a scheduled appointment to create an organized closet and spend THOUSANDS of dollars. Not only could they not be bothered at our scheduled 2:30 appointment (Anna was at lunch) but they then insisted on sending us a man who didn't have any experience nor was willing to help us create the closet. He literally siad to us, I guess I will help you then. When I asked him to guide us through and ask us-the guiding questions-as he is the professional-he stood there not willing to help nor up his game. I felt terrible telling him that we needed more from him to guide us through and he could not and just plain refused. He stated that he did this every day (which I feel bad for the customers who had to work with him and insist that he do his job) and remained silent. When we asked for Anna (30 minutes after our scheduled appointment) she finally arrived and was no better than Marcus. Her complete apathy and unwillingness to help us was a shock. We thought we were getting punked it was that bad. To make a long story short, we will NEVER be going back to Ikea. We spent our money over at the Container Store with Becky, who professionally walked us through all of the things needed in order to create the closet organizational system that we want. Arriving reminded me of Disneyland: parking garage, escalators going up, and greeters directing you where to go. I'm glad I waited for the crowds to die down... so far I'm enjoying my couch and I even enjoyed having a hand in putting it together. The people who thought of the concept of velcro couch covers are geniuses! You can change the appearance of the room with a quick run to the store and then just popping it on. Brilliant! Drinking fountains would be a nice touch... the meatballs were ok, not "legendary" in my book, but worth $2 or whatever... coffee was a little weak, and the lox was questionable... Decent variety of prices on items so almost any budget can be accommodated... and though the quality of some pieces seems a little shoddy, some things seem pretty decent. Go: it's worth checking out. You'll probably be there a couple hours if you're giving it a fair shot, so load up your Nalgene (or water bottle of choice) and head on out. While I don't go often it's always fun to have a snack/meal at the cafeteria before/during shopping. My latest visit was on Sunday afternoon around 4:30pm and it was very quiet without many customers. This makes IKEA much easier to navigate and get the items you want or see without colliding into small kids or other people. I like the meatballs for food. As a newbie to the whole IKEA thing I feel compelled to share my experience with others. 1. Advice: when possible take a trip to your local store before buying. I say this because you need to know if their product is going to meet your expectations before making a purchase. You also need to learn the "routine" before hand otherwise the whole experience can be quite overwhelming. Trust me it helps. 2. IKEAs website and online ordering is less than stellar . Like you'd be better of trying to order something on line circa 1995 with dial up service. It took 5, count them, 5 attempts before my order went through. The only reasons I didn't give up was because I live too far away from the store and I don't have access to a truck. Not to mention I'm stubborn. 3. Don't try calling the store. No one answers and there's no VM. Boo! Calling the corporate customer service line is a mixed bag to say the least. First time went well. Service representative was helpful and friendly. Second time didn't go so well. The line kept failing and when I finally go through I was on hold for well over an hour. Meh! 4. Fedex still thinks my outdoor dining set is still in Texas or wherever the heck it actually shipped from. I'm sitting on it right now so we know that's not true. Look, ikea folks like to see when their stuff is going to arrive so fix it. 5. Packaging was decent and nothing was damaged. One chair was missing a part which I guess is normal for Ikea. Here's a suggestion, work with your manufacturers and see if they can make it better. I bet they can. Hint hint. I'm a lean principal guy and this kind of waste drives me crazy. Whats more cost effective, improve your picking/packaging accuracy or maintaining a massive return staff? Anyway, the person helping me was quite friendly and took good care of me. My suggestion to anyone reading this, research the return process before coming in. Oh and don't forget to take a number. 6. Assembly is easy just pay attention to the instructions and take your time. Btw they're all pictures and it takes a second to get used too, after that it's easy. 7. Quality of the items purchased is very good and I'm most pleased. They sell a mix of cheap crap and well made items so do your research beforehand. 8. In store experience is where I'm the most torn, the displays upstairs are cool because you can test drive the item. It's also helpful in evaluating the quality of an item. The market place downstairs has everything you do and don't need. Remember you get what you pay for. What sucks the most are the snob asses that are in a hurry. Yes it's the customers that are rude. People are in a hurry and not polite. God forbid you like to wander. It reminds me of walking in Manhattan. That said, There's a process to navigating to gathering and purchasing. Learn it and all is well. Other points: Kiosks are helpful. Item locations are easy to navigate. Cashiers were friendly, Shopping carts have a mind of their own. Bathrooms are clean. Parking lot has plenty of spaces. Bring hand wipes because the displays are nasty dirty. 9. Open the box and check for all the pieces parts when possible. This way you can run back in if something is missing. See number 5. Is it my favorite store? No. Will I shop there again? Yes. Why, because they have some cool, unique items that are affordable and are well made. I just need to remember it's not going to be a relaxing experience. read more

We've purchased a few items here and we are fairly happy with them. I'm here to review the food. When this location first opened we ate breakfast for $2 and were quite impressed! This time we tried the famous Swedish meatballs. I don't know what the big deal is. They're not bad but not great. Tastes like a meatball I can get at the grocery store in the freezer section. (You can also buy a bag of frozen ones here, too.) But hey, it's cheap! The lingonberry sauce is tasty and tart, the mashed potatoes were great! Overall a good experience. read more

I think what happens is that IKEA likes everything in one small truck, so when you try to purchase a couch, plus everything in your new home, they subject you to this painful error message cycle... where slowly every item that was available online, is suddenly sold out. At 10pm? I've resolved tonight, and right now... to never buy from IKEA again - do the same, and join me in my mission to NOT put together furniture. I have driven two separate times to Ikea to get one of three bed frames that I like the look and price of. Keep in mind I live two hours away so this is no simple task, but somehow both times I have gone they have been completely out of the beds that I enjoy. So I have spent around $100 just on gas in order to get to this Ikea and both times have left empty handed. Very disappointed and will not be returning any time soon. I recommend anybody reading this to go to any other furniture store and pay a little bit more for furniture that is actually in stock. I would have just been okay and ordered the stuff online, but their website is not easily used and the shipping is at a very high price if it's even available to be shipped in the first place. Went to the bistro to get some meatball the older lady at the cashier was nice and Accommodating but the younger lady that I guess works in the kitchen with the with the greenhair wasn't at all the bistro wasn't even open on time she was telling people that they're not open when its was already passed there open time and everybody was waiting for the meatball which wasn't ready until 30 minutes later after the opening we ask for extra sauce and a younger lady with the green hair said that they can't give extra sauce even though we've been waiting for meatballs for almost 40 minutes. I mean seriously how hard is it to make more sauce. I been in the food industry for more than 15yrs if u have customer waiting for a while and we all know that the meatball are frozen and the gravy u just add milk. you need to compensate or give some for your customers waiting for a while. read more
