I had the worst experience at the Park Meadows Williams-Sonoma. Not only is the store cramped, cluttered and poorly laid out but the customer service was abysmal. The gay mafia is absolutely running this wretched little store. I received a gift that still had the WS skew number on the back and is a signature WS piece-- so we absolutely know it is from WS. They refused to issue a store credit for the item! Regardless of the tags still attached, without a receipt you are out of luck. The initial sales rep was incredibly rude and kept repeating himself and rolling his eyes. When I escalated to the "GM" he was even worse: he relayed "I've been in retail for 40 years and that's standard practice-- there's nothing I can do for you." Wow. Sir, being in retail for 40 years is NOTHING to brag about. Trust me, if I had been a man-- we would've had no problem and the credit would've been issued for the item that is clearly theirs. My husband bought a Breville sparkling water machine from William Sonoma 3 days prior, under the pretense that it could be returned if we did not like it. After trying it once, it did not meet our expectations. We came to the William Sonoma store at Park Meadows with receipt and original packaging. The staff was immediately obtuse and aggressive. They told my husband it was un returnable because it had been used. Once he informed them of their own policy, the manager "sighed" and said "fine, we'll take it back "- and then slammed down a book that she was restocking. During the remainder of the transaction, no one would speak or look at him and treated him like a criminal. Once the refund was completed, my Husband thanked them and said, "I think it is unreasonable to treat people with this level of disregard." The woman who slammed the book became verbally defensive and emotionally heightened. She said - "I'm not even talking to you, are you kidding me?" He was calm, and shared that we will not be shopping here again. She then yelled "you're not even speaking to me, I don't know what you're talking about." and a litany of verbal barbs. I want to reiterate that he stayed calm and professional during this interaction, and was fully taken aback by the treatment and response of a major corporation in regards to accepting a very inexpensive return. Im like a kid in a candy store when it comes to this place, so many cool and wonderful things for that chef or baker in all of us. Service here is usually friendly and knowledgeable. Shopping at this Williams-Sonoma as got to be one of my favorite places. I love the set up of the store and ease of location in proximity to the main Mall entry. I've been to stand alone ones in Columbus and Beverly Hills and those are huge. This one is smaller but does not lack on offerings nor customer service experience. Each time I've visited everybody is so helpful and knows the cues to let you shop in peace should you just stop by to browse. This shopping trip was to redeem my card rewards for some fall items. I bought brine for my Turkey in a few weeks, and mulling spice for my cider. I can't wait to start shopping for my Christmas table ! read more

Remarkably bad service. We purchased a top-of-the-line Breville for $2900. Open the Williams-Sonoma credit card to get a discount. It arrived at the store in Park Meadows, in late June as expected. Because there was a gash in the box that not only punctured the cardboard but also the interior Styrofoam, we did not take possession of it, thinking there was probably internal damage. We ordered another one to replace it. There was not a single apology for the inconvenience. There was no embarrassment for trying to give us a $2900 product that was clearly damaged. We were disappointed in the lack of concern but they promised the new one will arrive by July 2, the day visitors would arrive at our home and we looked forward to using this awesome machine. We received email confirmations that the shipment will arrive on July 2, and we showed up on July 2, to find it had not arrived. Again, no apology or embarrassment for wasting our time and giving inaccurate information. They said they would call us when it arrived. We received another email confirmation that it would arrive on July 4. We patiently waited and did not receive a phone call. So we called to see if it had arrived, and we were reprimanded with a condescending tone that they would call us. We then received another email confirmation that it would arrive on July 6. You guessed it... No phone call, and it did not arrive. We tried to cancel the order on July 8, but they said we couldn't cancel the order until it arrived. We were concerned that delivery was taking so long, we would receive a bill on the credit card, before it arrived, much less take possession of it. Finally on July 11, after multiple phone calls, and being very patient and kind toward all this incompetence, they finally canceled the order - even though it still had not arrived. Not one time during this whole experience and throughout all the interactions did anyone apologize or show any kind of embarrassment. It's stunning. We ended up going to bed Bath and Beyond to purchase it, got the same 20% discount, and we love our Breville. I will never buy anything from William Sonoma again. read more

Purchased a $599 Breville Espresso coffee maker. After reading all instructions we were unable to get the machine to make one cup. We returned the machine within a week (policy reads within 30 days of purchase with receipt for full refund) only to be told it's no longer "new" because we opened the box. Apparently opening up a box and trying to make one cup of coffee from a new machine constitutes "used". There was no debate. I was given the Breville customer service number by the Manager and told to have a good day. I've shopped at WS for over 40 years. This coffee maker is my final purchase. read more

I LOVE Williams-Sonoma! They have fantastic kitchen and home accessories. The employees at the Shopping Resort location are very friendly and helpful (a FAR cry from their sister store Pottery Barn). The store is very clean and well laid out. My only complaint..... $$$$ Too Expensive $$$$ You can buy the same gadgets, machines, pans, mixes, etc. for half the price at Crate and Barrel and Sur la Table. Poor customer service online and at the Park Meadows location for such a well respected company!!! I purchased 5 Williams-Sonoma silicone spatulas on November 13, 2018, to the tune of $38.00 and they have taken on food odors, i.e., onions, which transfers to other foods. I contacted the online customer service to see if I could exchange them without my receipt or if they could look my receipt up online since it was e-mailed and the response was that they could not help me because I didn't purchase them online and that I'd need to go to the store. Consequently, I called the store and spoke to Paige and asked her if I could return them or exchange them and she said, "sure, with your receipt." When I explained that I didn't have a paper receipt and that it was e-mailed, she informed me that I could just use the e-mail receipt which I told her I no longer have in my deleted e-mails. I asked her if they would stand behind their products and she said, "sure, with the receipt." Mind you, Williams-Sonoma is boldly displayed on each of the wooden handles, which by the way, is already loosing the shellac (and no, I don't put them in the dishwasher). Then, when I asked her if they could look up my e-mail receipt, she said, "well, you can come to the store and we can try." Really? Crappy customer service! Paige may want to take a few pointers on customer service from the Cherry Creek location. I went in their store and they were more than happy and gracious to assist me. read more

This location's managers refused to refund our money. They claimed it was up to the manufacturer to correct the issues. DO NOT order on the website. I used my local store to pick up. System defaulted to Charlottesville, VA. I had a gift card which the system took for payment. I paid $9.24 extra no problem. After payment the system rejected the gift card and charged my account $271.29 without authorization. Customer service cannot do anything to fix this issue. Sending a new gift card in the mail and refunding the debit card sometime in the next 3 days does no good for my 10th anniversary this weekend. I'm out a gift card and $271.29 and we are down to one income during the pandemic. This store tried to help. read more

Every time I have visited this store for something specific, it is not in stock. My recent visit was to take advantage of their sale for baking essentials. I arrived in the store and was not greeted by anyone or asked if I needed help (although there were 5+ employees standing around chatting). I roamed the store until I found the section I was looking for. Upon looking at the shelf I thought "this cannot be it". I found an employee who was able to search the back and the rest of the store and she as well came up empty handed. She offered to order the items online and have them shipped in 7-10 business days (no thanks). I find it disappointing that a store would run a sale and not make sure they had the inventory to offer. I left the store empty handed and purchased what I needed to upstairs at Crate & Barrel (for a cheaper cost too). read more

If you're looking for specialty gift items for the foodie in your circle of friends...this is the place to go. Their spices, oils and other food items are carefully curated. Of course, they're not cheap. However, you can't find some of their items in other stores. If you haven't tried their Potlach seasoning on Salmon...then you haven't lived. Just kidding, I'm not that judgmental...but you REALLY should try it. It's delicious. This is one of the few places where I could easily spend thousands of dollars in one trip if I bought everything I wanted. Maybe once I learn how to crap money, then I'll do that. Extremely poor customer service and most of the associates who work here are clueless on the types of products they are selling. One of the cashiers didn't know how to do a return, so the store manager had to get involved, while a second cashier rang up the other customer SLOWLY and ignored us at the counter for more than 10 minutes. I almost left my items on the counter and walked out of the store. It was the worst, unfriendliest service I've ever had experienced. We just wanted to see what coffee makers were available and he was so knowledgeable and friendly. The best service I have ever gotten there. I normally get treated like "I don't belong in their store" (usually hit the mall after a gym workout and look awful) but, he could not have been more welcoming to the store! Ooh lala! I do love Williams & Sonoma. While it is a big corporate chain it fills a nitch. It is part cooking gallery, part fine foods and part high end China & Glass. It can be expensive but they also have some excellent sales and deals. I have two of the incredible copper cooking vessels from W & S and they will last a lifetime. I can gaze at all the beautiful things for hours if allowed to just wander. Someday I want one of those OMG cappuccino makers. For now I will just have to ogle them. I recommend you stop in and splurge on at least a beautifully scented counter spray for your kitchen...YAY I love this place! read more

Wow. Williams Sonoma has really gone downhill. On November 30, I ordered 2 items. The first was delivered on schedule. The second was delayed. Then it was delayed again until February 8 - February 9. Since it was a gift, I let the recipient know what I had ordered and when it would be delivered. No problem. I decided to check on it 2 days ago and the order was canceled on January 4th. I didn't receive any notification, so I tried to email them through the customer service link. I received notification from the mail system at their host site that my query hadn't been delivered, so I tried again. Same result. So I decided to call their customer service number. I got a woman named Christina, who told me I should have received an email. I informed her I hadn't been notified and that I didn't want the order canceled. I wanted the set I had ordered. Christina informed me that the set was out of stock and there was no expected delivery date. Since I had seen the same set advertised that morning at a higher price, I asked why they were advertising it if it was unavailable. She told me that anyone who tried to order it would receive a message saying it was unavailable and that it couldn't be ordered. When I asked why they were advertising an item they couldn't supply, she couldn't answer. I was very unhappy and told her I wouldn't be ordering from them in the future. Today, I decided to verify that the set was unavailable. I went online, picked the "unavailable" item, and placed it in my cart. There was no notification that it was unavailable. I then started to check out. Again, there was no notification that it was unavailable. So, my conclusion is that the item is available at the higher price and Williams Sonoma simply decided they weren't going to honor the previous sales. I will never order from them again, and I will advise my friends that Williams Sonoma can't be trusted to provide the items they advertise at the price listed. I love all the great items in this store. This is a great place to browse and check out some really neat items for your kitchen. I like to go every so often and see what new gadgets they've come up with. The store is pretty expensive, and many items can be found elsewhere at a cheaper price, but some items are just really neat and it is fun to treat yourself here once in a while. The staff is very friendly. The staff was knowledgable on most items but lacked some critical knowledge on a few items. Not a bad experience and fun to go check out the new gadgets. read more

Today, I was a frequent shopper at Williams-Sonoma until today. My husband and I were shopping for a wok, when I was walking around I smelled something incredible. Upon walking up to the counter, to ask what they were cooking, the manager (unbeknownst to me), name is Stephanie; said in a unkind, abrupt and rude way: this is a cooking class!! It's macaroni and cheese!! I walked away thinking wow is that how you treat your customers that come in inquiring about the foods being prepared? I couldn't help but to think it was because of the color of my skin because many others who did not look like me were asking the same questions I was asking about the food they were cooking. Needless to say that I will never shop there again, I am a paying customer just like all the others who come and shop. If you are looking to shop at a Williams-Sonoma, look elsewhere.
