My experience today was amazing with the employees willing to check on an item alert I had just gotten an hour before going to IKEA. They went through the trouble to get the items that were just delivered and gave me good boxes to put my dishware in to carry out. I was apologized to for the wait and thanked for my patience. This is just going to be a review of the dining center at IKEA as I have never shopped for furniture here. All I can say is IKEA food is friggin amazing!!! So delicious, well balanced, and CHEAP! They do a great job of catering to vegans. I ordered a vegetable balls meal which consists of about 7 delicious vegetable balls with some kind of curry topping, steamed broccoli and green beans, and a generous helping of quinoa all for about $4! INSANE It's set up like a big cafeteria which I thought was pretty cool. There are so many sweet temptations as you go through the line so you may have to exercise some serious restraint. The workers are very quick which is great if you go there on a lunch break, like I do, yet they still seem to be very pleasant. I honestly can't think of one negative thing to say except maybe that there is only one vegan option, but it's a dang good one! I heart IKEA!!! read more

This is a huge store and a perfect place to get your steps in if the weather is too cold out. With that being said, it's not the best place for shoppers who just wants to get in and get out. The layout of the store is very confusing and the average trip takes at least an hour to navigate the entire store and get the things you need. I was so frustrated at times walking through the never ending maze to get to the checkout. True that there're "shortcuts" but you still end up walking a lot! I do like the variety of home goods at IKEA and the prices! They may not always be the best quality but it seems that they're better at improving the quality over the years. And if you have little kids, this is a great place for kids furniture like cribs, toys and tableware. People know what to expect when they step into an IKEA store and this store is no exception. I do like the restaurant that offers healthy vegetarian options like veggie dogs as well as traditional Swedish fare. This is a very kid-friendly store! read more

This review is for their online order/delivery store. I wish I could give a zero star to their online store. I ordered 1 month ago. The items was supposed to arrive today between 9am-9pm. I waited all day. Nothing happened: no truck, no calls. At the end, I called them to see what was going on. They said that there was a backorder and they have no idea when it will be available. How can you not love shopping at IKEA? I get so many great ideas from the layouts and décor. Plus they have lots of kitchen items that aren't crazy expensive and last a long time. I have never bought anything from here that doesn't hold up. I have bought a book shelf, a bed frame and other items that are still in great condition from buying several years ago. The associates are sometimes hard to find, but they are always willing to help and are nice. There is a self checkout if you have less than 12 items, which I used recently and loved because I didn't have to stand in a long line. Depending on the time of day it does get crazy. I would recommend going early in the morning because it's not as crowded. I have never tried the deli or food that they have, but I have heard that it is good and rather healthy. Maybe next time! Today was a terrible experience. We arrived around 245pm and the only positive was good options for parking. However that is where it ends. All the escalators were broken and the elevators said only take if you're going to returns so options are stairs or stairs and they're concrete and gross. So you hike up two flights of stairs that are very high and we immediately got hit in the face with stuffiness of no ac. I mean it was hot and muggy inside. Not really the best ambiance for shopping. We couldn't get out of there fast enough!! We had driven 1.5 hours to get here so we couldn't just turn and walk out now could we? They clearly have been working with a skeleton crew bc products were strewn about and it was just messy overall. Check out was a hot mess as always with huge families and a ton of kids and it's just chaos with no options to pay with cash. I was so flustered I forgot to put a small rug I bought in my cart because I just wanted out. Do better IKEA your customers don't want to walk in your giant messy warehouse in a sauna. Oh and you'd only get 1 star but a nice older gentleman in the plant department gave my daughter and I amazing info on how to take care of her new ficus. Kudos to you only sir! read more

Did not live up to the hype. This has got to be the worst ikea. I feel robbed. I saw YouTube videos of a whole buffet with expansive dessert sections but all they had for food was a small kiosk by the registers. I expected to see more displays. I couldn't really look at anything because other customers wanted to stand where I was standing. Everything was dirty. The white display down fill blankets had visible stains from being touched so much. Half the time I picked up a product I could feel residues on it. I guess there is no shelf life so an item can sit in the store and be picked up 100 times. If I ever go again, I'm wearing rubber gloves. Couldn't wash my hands fast enough. read more

As adults, you can never go wrong with a trip to IKEA. And if you can get through the trip without acting on your impulsive urges to buy something, you've got strong will power. The displays of rooms, furniture, wall design, and accessories will allow the decorator in us to go wild with our imaginations on what our homes could look like. so, the kiosk told me that one part of my order was on the shelf, the other one was too big given to me after I paid at checkout. After I go through check out, the clerk is confused she's never heard of this before. she tells me to check the desk by the kiosk. The worker at that desk tells me the second half of all these items are sold out. Lots of markings and hand sanitizer but honestly few people, is any, were following. I immediately regretted my decision but given that I was already an hour in just driving here, I buckled in for a bumpy ride. As you arrive they have 2 lines, one for entering and one exiting. No one was following. The escalator was PACKED, and it's the only way in. They have the stairs blocked. Once you got on, same. Don't even get me started on the check out line. I tried returning something and had the exact date and dollar amount even showed them my bank statement with all of the details, and somehow they couldn't find it in their system to give me a return. Do recommend coming just to hang out and spend time. Yes the store is big and you should wear comfortable shoes, but it's totally worth the experience. The prices are almost always worth it. I have never regretted getting furniture here. It's not that hard to build it. It's sturdier than most under priced other furniture, such as most free furniture you can get on the Internet The service is pretty great. I am from Sweden, I bought my first piece 1980 from Ikea. I like the furnitures. Ikea in Denver was great when they first opened here. Now it's getting worse every year I go there. The restaurant used to be a highlight, now we avoid it. The staff seems to be so unhappy to work there, no crisp bread, no butter, they run out of a lot. Some staff really try to be helpful but it's so few of them. I am surprised so little food items are offered in the food shop. It used to be a lot more. read more

Wife and I purchased bookcases about 8 months ago. We are moving and the bookcases no longer work for us. So we figured we'd try our luck and see if we could return the items. Customer service said it was up to the individual location if they will take it back. The issue is specific locations do not have phone numbers for customers to call nor can customer service reach them. We'd either have to disassemble the product and show up randomly and hope they'd take it back or drive there, ask if it's ok, then go back home and return. One of the customer service members said that we could donate it back to ikea.... The billion dollar company. We just want an answer. If we couldn't return it, we'd donate it to someone or an organization that needs it. read more

Yesterday, I needed some lightbulbs for IKEA lamps so went into the Denver-area store. About a third of the customers were NOT wearing masks, and the store employees were even busy helping a customer who wasn't wearing a mask. I don't know what the policy is, but everyone in that store (hundreds of customers) should be required to wear masks and this requirement should be enforced. COVID is no joke, but IKEA is probably afraid to enforce the policy for fear of losing customers. That qualifies in my book as reckless disregard. I am not going back to the store. This is not the first time I've seen IKEA show reckless disregard for customer safety (I once purchased a shelf unit that had no assembly or safety instructions, so I wasn't sure if it was safely put together; when I called IKEA for help, they said it was "modular" so had no instructions--so no safety guidelines, either). Regarding self check out stand employee Jeanine (sp?) I was checking out around noon-ish today after feeling very unwell. I'm diabetic and my blood sugar must have been through the roof as I was exhibiting symptoms. Jeanine was appropriately concerned for me - asking if I was okay, offering to hold my items so I could go to the restroom, inviting me to sit until I felt good enough to leave. I didn't realize my meter and insulin were at home. I eventually made it home and treated myself. This evening I returned to finish the shopping I had cut short. Jeanine was still at the checkout, and I thanked her from the bottom of my heart. As I left I shared with a supervisor the amazing concern of Jeanine, I began to tear up. These days it seems rare to cross paths with someone who shows such care for a stranger, and I am forever grateful I met Jeanine. I hope there is some type of employee recognition and celebration for employees like Jeanine who go above and beyond! read more

Oh this place is addictive. It is almost like I have to avoid it or I spend too much lol. But I love the showroom and wandering around- could wander for hours! They just have the cutest stuff! Staff will assist you with getting your literal pallet of stuff to your car, they are very professional and friendly. I appreciate how spread out the store is, so you are not on top of others while strolling around, and there is of course the food court area to nourish yourself during the marathon day of being in this store! read more

I enjoy visiting IKEA any time I can. The almond cake is delicious I like to get decorating ideas from this store, I would never buy furniture here as it is too flimsy. They have all sorts of duvets for cool and warm weather. The duvet covers are not high quality but they work for a bit. Typical IKEA. We checked this location out on a Saturday afternoon and then again a few weeks later on a Tuesday afternoon. Definitely a much better experience on Tuesday. We found many items to be out of stock including square glass kitchen storage containers and almost all the queen size sheets. Staff was reasonable although didn't help us at all with bagging items at checkout. On the Saturday, the line for fro yo was ridiculous but on Tuesday it was all good. They have a self checkout and you can also get some tasty food here like the famous meatballs and delicious blue cheese. If you're familiar with IKEA, this one is typical. Only difference I noticed compared to East Coast IKEAs was a lot more items out of stock. read more

For those who have never been, IKEA is essentially a home goods warehouse with a Swedish cafeteria inside. It kind of feels like a fancy Scandinavian Costco. The food is decent and they hold fun events like Swedish Christmas Buffet. There's a reason "Ikea Hacks" trends on Pinterest. IKEA is like the Coloradoan of furniture, where you buy a $20 side table and then put $50 worth of geode knobs on it. And in the end you can say you built everything yourself - because you really do. Aimlessly walking through IKEA will make you cranky. You could spent a good chunk of your day reviewing carpets and lamps alone so I never stop in "just to browse." The labyrinth has you walking room to room endlessly but if you know where you are headed you can fastrack to the kitchen or bathroom. HIGHLY recommended!!! Parking outside and covered under the store. Childcare if you want to drop off the little ones. They'll assemble and deliver you purchases too! It looks nice. Modern and sleek design. An entire bed or a bookshelf in a single box or two! Most IKEA furniture is perfect for a college dorm room. Decorating a guest room. Colorful bowls. It's not designed to be assembled, taken apart, and reassembled multiple times. Maybe once, so beware. It gets the job done though. Looks nice. Some things are made of better materials than others. You come for the simplicity and design. Not necessarily quality. Can get a savings/membership card for free. Saves you some coin and you don't have to pay any annual fee. The prices are fair and products appear to be decent quality. The food court is awesome - love the Swedish Meatballs and the grocery section at this location. The only downside is that you could get lost in this place. A long meandering pathway cut through the store with no way to really "short cut" out of there. But its fun to browse. read more

They gots the FURNITURE, they gots the PENCILS and DIY SHOPPING LISTS, they gots the multi-directional shopping carts you can jam your ankles against, they gots the MEATBALLS, and they gots MORE MEATBALLS! The parking situation is GREAT! Plenty of space, and they have a loading dock with loading-assistance bars so you can just seesaw your boxed furniture into your vehicle. They have a nice corner for miscellaneous discounted/"As-is" furniture at the end of the walking route. Go there if you're looking for random pieces of things. I asked for help from some of the staff, and they were extremely helpful. Two thumbs up for them! Also, the little food court has some tasty sodas/fizzy drinks. Strongly recommend trying all of them. Had the friend come to visit who's handicap and this place is torturous to people with crutches and can't walk regularly This place has been in disarray for at least the last 6 months, this is his second visit where it was too much for him to deal with I'm guessing they don't make handicapped people a priority.they sure as hell don't like fixing stuff very fast. Now having said that yes they have elevators not easy to navigate but yah I have always liked IKEA even though now they are now quite a bit more expensive but still cheaply made, not everything but almost! I love Ikea, mainly for the bargains! Quality is good, depending on what you are looking for. Just bought my living room set here over the weekend, happy with the stuff that I just bought! Living room set for a little over 1k? Scored! I got a sleeper sofa with lounge ottoman, entertainment center, coffee table and a side table. Even some storage unit! I love all bargains and great quality. But, am unhappy for the crappy service that i got in the warehouse. My other half was at home sick, but needed to see and buy the furnitures that I saw online ASAP and to be delivered by next weekend. Let me tell you, sales reps was nice and patient. While the customer service reps at the self service department was rude, short with the customers and would dare put on their gloves to help you. Unless, you become a demanding person and ask for help. Honestly, I'm naturally demanding and especially if i am paying. Lol I'm Filipina and Spanish, it's in my blood! Bring on the challenge! He literally told me and pointed where the couches were and how to load them on my cart. I flat out told him to F off, just kidding. I told him that I need him to do it for me as I was alone with another cart already. Mind you, I was trying to save myself $35 bucks for them to haul it for me. Which you can do, per the sales rep! He loaded the cart and told me to take it to the register, I kindly said no. You'll have to take it as my hands are full already. In return, I got a bad look and a nasty attitude. Restrooms appeared not to have been sanitized in some time. The layer of ground in dirt was clearly evident in the flooring, tiles, edging, counter tops, etc. It appears that dirty water is being used to mop the floor. IKEA could do much better in providing clean areas for the customers. read more

We bought one of those fancy foldout cat beds and when we got it home we were so excited to put it together. Pretty easy to do. However. NO ZIPPERS came with it!?!? This has become a nonfunctional piece of furniture. How does it have no zippers when the instructions clearly read 'zip up the jacket'?! Well, we made it work. How have I not reviewed Ikea yet?! I've been here my fair share of times to browse, pick out a dresser, get some ideas for kitchen lighting; you name it. Here are my main takeaways: ++ They have many different home layouts that feature some really clever small space living ideas. ++ The cafeteria has a variety of hunger satisfying options at low cost. Swedish meatballs anyone? ++ Prices are great! Though some items you may find yourself buying in bulk. 25 pack of tealights? Sure, I'll never have to buy them again! ++ Assembly instructions are fairly easy to follow; though they contain no words and only pictographs. ++ They design many of their items for durability and for the most part they hold up to wear and tear very well. +/- They layout can def be confusing. I've only actually walked the whole store maybe once. I take advantage of the many shortcuts along the way and cut to the places I need/want to go to. +/- Products are flat packed which makes them very easy to transport back home. Though they are also made of a lighter particle board material. They don't hold up well during moves and some items may bow with heavy objects stored on them for a longer period. All in all, I know I will be back to Ikea at some point for some other home item or storage idea recommended to me by Pinterest. read more

We went over spring break, as my guys had never been. Its a fun place to visit, and there is great stuff for reasonable prices. We were accosted by a guy regarding how I was wearing my mask, I was polite but also firm. He then began to follow us around with his phone and my son was NOT polite and stood up for his mom and family! That said, an employee made sure WE were ok, as we were checking out. There are some aspects of IKEA that are good, some that are not so good. Good- Prices are cheap and the food in their restaurant is above standard and very affordable. I also like the Innovative, modern and space saving furniture. Not so Good- this place is arranged like a maze and there really is no order to it, you snake in and out with your wobbly unsteerable cart through the showroom floor like a herd of cattle being brought to market. There is usually traffic jams with people going in all different directions and the only time you see an employee is usually when you exit at checkout. read more

The restrooms were deplorable. all soap dispensers were empty and several ladies were very upset that they had to leave the bathroom without cleaning their hands. This was really bad because they had no toilet paper whatsoever and so you can imagine that they use their hands for toilet paper. Sure, they rinse their hands with water but they could not disinfect them. The floors were filthy. I cannot bring my wife to this place ever again because of the filth. She does not have a strong bladder And requires a clean restroom when we go out. I suggest that none of you go to IKEA if you want to be healthy. read more
