Look, I'm a big IKEA fan and have been shopping at IKEA for decades. But the Chantilly IKEA is an unmitigated disaster. The first omen for our visit was noticing that unlike other IKEAs there's not a big blue and yellow IKEA sign rising above the store. And too, this IKEA's exterior is not painted blue like other IKEAs. This IKEA inherited the old Expo Center. I previously had been to cat and home improvement shows in this building. IKEA skimped horribly on repurposing this property. For example, in the men's room, light fixture covers were broken, and the latches and coat hooks in the stalls were broken off. Mind you, this IKEA has only been in business a few weeks. The aisles are zig-zaggy and narrow. The flow through the store is terrible. It just cannot handle the hordes of shoppers. And then even though check-out lines are long, they keep some of the self-check stations closed. Lastly, because this IKEA is small, inventory is limited. Aside from this location's shortcomings, though I love IKEA's fun designs and colors, product quality has declined over the years. Examples include floor lamps, beds and cutting boards. Some have referred to IKEA as a particle board emporium. We were so disappointed that we cut our visit short and headed to the IKEA in Woodbridge, which is a palace in comparison. Realistically, if IKEA wants a worthy presence in Fairfax County, it needs to abandon this property and build from scratch elsewhere.

This was my first time visiting this location. It was smaller than I expected, but they still had a good variety of items. The food court is located near the entrance, although it's fairly small as well. One thing I appreciated was that staff members were stationed throughout the store, making it easy to ask where to find specific items. They also accept Apple Pay, which made checkout quick and convenient. If you're expecting a large IKEA like some of the bigger locations, you might be a little disappointed since this store is only one level. The food court also has a limited menu. Overall, it's a nice place for a quick and convenient visit.

Surprisingly loved this location. It is smaller than the one in Woodbridge, but less overstimulating. I loved the stock rooms and got a lot of ideas for my home. There's plenty of selections, with good values too. Some fruits had bite marks in them... hahah I love playing house in IKEA.

Newly opened to Chantilly-- so excited that theres a closer IKEA now. Their furniture selection goes far and wide; from indoor candles to outdoor patio furniture. Food trays or even kid canopy beds. Value is as good as it gets; we got 4 candles for about $10. (highly suggest the fresh linen smell). The service was great- My fiance and I ordered food here; at first they forgot our order but when I asked them about it, they apologized and made it right away. I ordered ice cream with my food and the worker offered me to get it at the end of my meal rather than letting it melt. -- You can get a platter of 12 meatballs, served with peas, mash potatoes and cranberry jam for $10 --hotdog $1 --4pc meatball $1.50 --icecream $1.75 --mac n cheese entree $3.99 (i would skip --fountain soda $2

Came on a Friday during lunch (granted, it's 4th of July weekend) and the dining area was pretty crowded. It took about 1 hour for us to get our food. It was also pretty difficult to get seating given it was peak lunch time. I heard it's pretty bad on the weekends. We got the 12 piece meatballs, mac and cheese and lingonberry soda. Overall everything tastes great and is consistent with all other IKEAs we've been to! Will come again when the crowds die down!

Can't beat the price. The hot dog, sweedish meat balls, and marinated salmon was decent for the price. Thot dog was dry. However, the meatballs and the salmon were my favorite and for me, it did feel more fresh than the other times I have gone. Overall, service was friendly, food did take about 20 minutes but it just opened so expected for a lot of people. Would recommend

Very excited to have a closer IKEA but this could be dangerous to our wallets. My friend and I went to the grand opening and I won the raffle and got a bucket hat, was one of the first 100 people in line so got a $40 gift card, and played planko in store and got a medium reusable bag. Due to it being the first day, the cafe was pretty backed up (took around 35 minutes for our food). When we were ordering, they were also out of the meatballs so I went with the plant based option, froyo cup (which tasted more like their soft serve), and fountain drink. Overall, employees were friendly & attentive and glad to have a closer IKEA

Came on grand opening day 6/18/26! Unfortunately missed some of the giveaways which were at 8am but huge turnout for a Thursday. But at least was able to snag a free bag from their freebie table. They also had Mouse chocolate, cookies, and flower pots. Finally a full sized IKEA in Fairfax county. They have a food court and everything. Plenty of self service stations and cashiers. Can still be a little overwelming to navigate but there are arrows on the pathway towards the checkouts and several shortcuts to the checkout areas within various sections. One small gripe is their food court menu tvs aren't stagnant.

Nice, small-sized store Interesting / that it is tucked behind Walmart The Swedish meatballs ARE great; the watered-down ligonberry juice, not so much No one wants to drive to Woodbridge (from Chantilly) to shop Ikea; this is a good option

Spots showed up one day and I tried everything to fix it. I tried to contact Bob's with no luck so I escalated this TWO WEEKS AGO. I just received a response from them saying that there is NOTHING THEY CAN DO. It is absolutely disappointing and disgusting that they can't give any guidance, nor give any sense of assistance on how my now damaged table can be fixed. I am finally understanding that the reason their products are "cheap" is because they are very low quality. I will go elsewhere where their staff can actually provide me with some general advise on how to handle their items. For being a regular customer, this is very disappointing as to how they handled this. I will take my business elsewhere.

We have purchased from Belfort through the years and had been pleased…read more Unfortunately their service department has completely failed... to the point that a sofa that was delivered with a problem 10 months ago was picked up (instead of a single piece exchanged in home) after taking 9 months. Now despite 2 written requests to explain what's going on and no answer, now no one answers in service AND the line won't take recorded messages. This seemed so simple. Sofa delivered with a mid-shaped back cushion. I was told at delivery that a new piece would be ordered and replaced when it came in. I waited 9 months for the call that the replacement cushion arrived. But instead of replacing it, they took the sofa saying the repair would be done and sofa returned. That was 3 weeks ago. I've used the service email to request clarification. Twice. No response other than the auto message that my email was received. Today I called. No answer on the service line. Mailbox 'not taking messages. So, sofa bought and paid for. But I have no sofa and no answers. What good is a nice showroom if the service department is lousy, customers ignored and store shows no concern? Update! I had hope when, after publishing this review I got a call from Belfort. My hope was misplaced and speaks further to their failure. The call was to "arrange delivery" asap since repairs were (suddenly) complete. I asked what repairs were done to make sure we were on the same page before coming out here. Amazingly she returned to the phone to say her call was in error, repairs were NOT MADE and there would be no delivery. I asked what they HAD done in the weeks since picking up my sofa and she didn't know. No one was there who could tell me but I'd get a call first thing this morning. Here we are. Yet again with no response. The service department there is a mess.

We came here first and were blown away by how neat, clean, and well decorated the store was. The first item I was drawn to was a beautifully hand painted egg in excellent condition - for something like $13. I couldn't think of anyone it would have been a good gift for, but wish I did! It was gorgeous and definitely a piece someone would cherish. They had numerous such type items. My Mom found some fabrics and other items she loved so much she was willing to get them and schlep them all the way back to Hawaii in her luggage. She also enjoyed looking at all the jewelry in the cases and talking with the helpful volunteers. The only off note for me was while talking to one of the volunteers, they made it a point to let me know they didn't accept all donations. Twice. I almost laughed out loud in her face the second time. Don't assume because I'm in shorts and a T-shirt that I'm not aware of the niche the store is attempting to maintain, or that I don't have items to donate that they would make money off of. *But* they are volunteers and they were super nice to my Mom so they get a pass for it. I'll be bringing other friends who love this kind of shopping by in the future. Being the first store we visited made the others pale in comparison. Definitely a winner!
