I absolutely love IKEA! You can literally always find something! It's a great place to spend a couple hours when there is nothing else to do! Just walking through all the rooms and getting tons of inspiration is awesome! They even have tons of random little spots for kids to play with if you don't decide to use the little day care. Absolutely terrible. I would give zero stars if I could, because they have been so unprofessional. Worst experience of my life with ordering online. Might as well order from somewhere else if you ever expect to see your furniture finally delivered. They keep not delivering my order on my delivery date and having to re-schedule to another day due to "mechanical issues." However, on their package tracker service, you can view them making other delivery stops. The last time they were in my city making stops, but I was skipped over and once again got re-scheduled. Save your time and effort because you'll have better luck elsewhere. read more

I prefer to give good reviews, however, I will give bad reviews when warranted. I like IKEA overall but their stock levels have been sub par. We went there to find a desk for our son. After showing him the pictures of it, he also liked the desk and wanted us to get it. I went back to the store, got the location of the desk to pick up and then went to grab an LED light for the desk as well. Both the LED light and the desk were out of stock. Shame on me for not looking online to see if they show stock levels of the items they sell. After a wasted trip, I decided to do just that, check online. They showed the desk would be back in stock the following Saturday. Guess what, Saturday came and went and no stock. This went on for several weeks so we have decided not to shop at IKEA and we will buy items for our home elsewhere! read more

I have been to the following IKEA locations: Schaumburg (IL), Bolingbrook (IL), Westchester (OH), Toronto (Ontario), and this one. Of the five, Schaumburg is hands down the best. It is laid out better, and it seems to carry more items. The Fishers location is on par with Bolingbrook, tied for last place. The reason for this is the one-story layout, in which you have to walk through a bunch of showrooms before you can get to the part of the store that actually has product, and it is frustrating because all of the first-time shoppers tend to create a back-up of traffic while they stop in the aisles to look at the show room. Another obnoxious thing is the returns area: They have maybe one or two associates at registers to handle all of the returns, exchanges, and requests for spare parts that come through. This means that you will often find yourself waiting upwards of twenty minutes before your take-a-ticket number is called. Another crazy thing about the returns department is that, even if you have the original receipt and credit card used, and the item is intact, clearly has never been used, and has the stickers still on it, they want to see your driver's license and enter your information into their computer-- something I find unacceptable unless they're going to guarantee they have ironclad cyber security that is immune to hacking/breaches and that they won't sell or disclose my information to anyone else for any reason. Of course, they provide no such guarantees. So, I err on the side of not buying stuff unless I'm absolutely, 100% sure I will be happy with it... Which means it keeps my impulse buying in check, and causes them to lose out on money. Overall, as far as IKEAs go, this is a 3, but giving it a 4 because I'm just glad to finally have an IKEA in the area. read more

Here's our story.... Bought an old farmhouse in Lafayette. Bought the kitchen at the FISHER's location. Spent $25,000 on that rascal. Was easy to assemble, etc. Appliances were top notch. The delivery guys were good, so I tipped them! Great folks in the kitchen department but one is really great. It's Jack, as he went above and beyond the high bar. Kudos to you Jack! She was able to say all the names and knew prices, availability, etc. An exceptional employee with a keen sense of customer service. We drove two hours to buy a small kitchen for our home. It was nine boxes total. We were told it would take 25 minutes to pick our order. A hour in they still hadn't picked our order. I'd never been to an IKEA before one was built in Fishers, but boy did I hear raving reviews from all of my friends who would drive to Ohio to go to one. I've now been to this IKEA 3 times (most recently last Friday evening) and am still amazed at the sheer size of this place. WOW! Come with no agenda for time unless you know exactly what you want and where to find it in the store. We spent a good 2 hours going through the place even with something in mind for we wanted to get just so we could peruse the displays for decorating ideas. The prices for furniture are pretty affordable, but I'd say the price for bedding, pillows (decorative) and home decor are comparable (not cheaper) to Target and similar stores. They didn't have lighting in stock we wanted, but I guess we can order it online. The 4 stars are for the the loooooonggggggg check out lines- there were 12ish people in line to check out at 2 lanes when there were 10+ lanes in the store. They should have had more people to check out customers, especially on a Friday evening when inevitably it will be busier than say a Tuesday afternoon. Each of the 3 times I've come here we have to wait in a long line with minimal check out staff. The lines didn't move at snail speed, but by the point you check out you've probably been in the store a few hours and are ready to pay and leave. Still love coming here! The prices are reasonable for the quality of the items. This store allows you to build your dream home from scratch. Choose your color and finishing to personalize your home! My first visit to Ikea . I went for a couple of items I wanted and found online. It was the best price my fingers and keyboard found. My husband and my first thought was -- mark down where we parked --take a picture of markers . We did not want to be the shoppers that never returned. Then WHAT IS WITH THESE CARTS ? I subtracted a star because of the carts . When I go to any store it seems that I pick the most wiggly/this should be repaired cart , but I can usually find one after a few tries , not so here . Here they all had wheels almost impossible to push in a straight line ??? They are shiny and new but -- wow. Thanks to a very helpful clerk we were directed to easily find what we came for and are happy with the purchase . Checkout was fast and friendly. read more

First, I love IKEA...really do! The inspirational annual catalogs, the inexpensive household basics, the general emphasis on simple design... I've been a fan for 20 years and have visited IKEAs in Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, and New York, so I was thrilled when an Indiana location opened last year. Unfortunately, the Fishers/Indy location was a huge disappointment. 1) The floorplan. This single-story IKEA is woefully confusing to navigate. As a shopper who had a general idea what to expect, I still felt totally lost. 2) Haphazard labeling of shelves/prices. Literally DOZENS of times, I struggled to figure out which items were on what shelf at which price. The hand-drawn arrows on the shelving labels only confirmed: others have shared my confusion. 3) Inventory out of stock. Empty shelves. On a Tuesday afternoon, I expected the store to feel calm and orderly. Instead, it felt forlorn and randomly picked-over. The staff I interacted with were all extremely professional... but the general disarray and unwelcoming ambiance left a sour taste. I'll probably try this location again at some point, but I'm not excited to do so...which is sad. read more

Ok, I must be in the minority here, or I just visited on the wrong day and at the wrong time, but I was super annoyed by this place. Parking was horrendous. Seriously, we drove around for 15 minutes looking for a spot. Once inside, the cattle call was in full force. Throngs of people being weaved back and forth at a snails pace. We originally went to look at a desk but upon seeing it in person, realized it was cheap and wouldn't last more than a year or two. As we wound our way around, I found myself getting more irritated. Maybe it was the crowds, maybe it was my mood but I just didn't see anything else that piqued my interest. I really am having a hard time understanding the attraction to Ikea. I may wait a few months and give it another go, but I don't see myself going out of my way to visit. read more

I love IKEA. Just not this store. The lines at the restaurant, the bistro and the checkout are incredibly long and slow every time we go. Additionally, I think they must have a stocking problem because at least half of the items I want to purchase are always out of stock. For instance, I've been trying to buy a couch from this location for a month. They still don't have all the required parts in stock. Smaller than some IKEA stores, which is good and bad. It's a lot easier and quicker to navigate than some, but their showroom is smaller so less visible selection. Personally, I'm a huge fan of IKEA, and the four star rating is just because there is always something crucial to the room I'm putting together that they are out of stock on. read more

I love Ikea as someone who likes simple and cheap designs that fit my college needs but every time I go there they seem to be out of stock of what I want. Me and my mom go through the store on occasion to get inspiration and look for stuff that we might want to buy and we can usually pick out a few items that grab our interest. Unfortunately they are always out of stock and we leave empty handed almost every time. I understand covid has put a strain on their supply but I had to wait 3 months for a bed... I'm only rating this experience with 3 stars because like everyone else I got lost in this store. However, I only wished I had gone with a friend so that we could laugh about it. Since I didn't, I decided to take a break while I figured things out. During that break I tried a slice of the Daim cake in the cafeteria, and oh my word was it amazing! If you aren't familiar, let me help you...read here: Purchasing: -Grab a map, a pencil and a bag at the entrance area. -Look at the lower section of display item price tags for locations on where to get things. Do not take display items for purchase, as you will not be able to purchase them at checkout. The bottom of tags will tell you where to find things. (i.e. market place, self serve, etc.) Write down the item #'s and location on the back of your map. -1st half of the store is the showroom and 2nd half ( after the cafeteria) is the marketplace. Showroom is mainly for looking and gathering ideas, although there are some take away items. The marketplace is more like your traditional American shopping where you grab what you want. The cafeteria is in the middle of the store. The self-serve area is at the end of the store, and this is where you find mostly the items to assemble. -IKEA has services! You can get delivery, delivery with assembly, or have them pick your items for you, deliver them and assemble them. -Look for people, in yellow shirts, if you have any questions. They have all sorts of tools to help you!! -Stroller style carts at the beginning of the store are for children. Regular carts are provided 1/2 way through the store when they are most needed. Tips: -Take an immediate left, inside the entrance to find the restrooms and bistro. Going potty, grabbing a drink and snack is a good idea. -Don't take display items...save frustration when you check-out. -Carts aren't needed until the marketplace, after the cafe. -Store closes at 9 pm, so many sure you plan your timing properly. -Try the meatballs! The Cincinnati Ikea was always a treat when I visited on the occasional weekend. I was soooo excited when the Fishers Ikea opened however, so was my mom so I had to wait until thanksgiving weekend when she came to visit e in Indy to go! I will say, I don't like the one floor layout as much as the Cincinnati layout. The first floor layout seems smaller. The food in the cafe was still delicious. We love the meatballs and mashed potatoes and this time it came with grilled mushrooms too! I also love love love their berry soda! Walking around Ikea is always fun- I love interior design and it's amazing what they can do with such small places! The only complaint I have is the lines were so long and they only had like 2 registers open. We only had a few things so we put them down and left. We did enjoy it though- love seeing what they have each season! read more

It's IKEA. I mean. What else is there to say? It's something you just have to experience. They have a little bit of everything. The prices are fairly reasonable although on some products the quality is questionable. It gets crazy packed, so not really worth a trip if you just want to go and peruse the store. Although there are arrows to help lead you through, I still manage to get lost in the IKEA matrix. There is stuff everywhere. I completely get distracted as ooooohhh and ahhhhh through the store. I have yet to stop at the cafe, so can't comment on that. IKEA is, well, IKEA. I love it with its flaws and all. Plus, I no longer have to travel to Cincy to visit one. Whoo hoo!! read more

Camped out the night before and ended up in the first 145. They promised coffee and cinnamon rolls to us but ran out. They could have prepped better to ensure that every person in the 145 had something. Other than that it was pretty organized and they handed out Ikea bags to everyone. They had a live band going, Boomer showed up, the Pacemates were here. Probably one of the most eventful grand openings I've been to. read more

Drove all the way home to see that a box had been taped and the bookcase inside was DESTROYED....very POOR CHEAP quality....returned to the store and asked customer service to help replace the item or offer a discount on a different item for lack of checking the box prior to selling. Offered NOTHING to us for all of our troubles, gas, time, for THEIR mistake. Worst customer service ever!!! This is one of those "go for the experience" kind of places. And once you've been it's that "go for one thing or go for 5 hours" kind of places. Because they have E V E R Y T H I N G. Recommendations: Take a map. For real. Because the "yellow shirts" can be hard to find at times. Have a plan. Unless it's your first time and you're "just looking" go in for your specific item and try to get out before you're remodeling your kitchen. Download the app. While the connectivity can be a bit spotty, the app allows you to easily find specific items and you can make a list ahead of time. Eat there. For real, the food is delish and relatively healthy depending on your choices. Join IKEA family. Honestly such a smart business move! This store has everything you need in a home. Kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, living, outside, and more! Not only do they provide all the furniture you could ever possibly need, but they provide an experience as well! As I walked through showroom after showroom, I found myself feeling like a child... ooo'ing and ahh'ing at everything I saw. And to top it all off, you can't beat the prices for the quality of furniture. I've been nothing but pleased with each purchase I've made. Oh and it gets better, there's food here too!
