Another good place for pick up or delivery order. The price is just ok, I didn't find exactly I want but I still give them a try anyway. My own opinion, if you are in a mood for cheap sushi and not super picky with the quality, Ikura Sushi is a good choice for takeout and delivery. I've never been here in person, but i order delivery from here all the time! It's not bad and not exceedingly good either, but I only usually order california rolls so it's hard to make those badly. It's exactly what you'd expect when you order sushi. They have lunch specials that come with soup OR salad so i usually order those. I've tried rolls with salmon and tuna inside but they didn't taste very fresh (pretty fishy) so I just stick with non-raw fish options. I ordered the kani salad too and they plate the dish with lettuce. The lettuce tasted really weird although i'm not sure if you're even supposed to be eating that. Regardless, i'm not a fan of strange tasting lettuce in my food. I do think they make solid california rolls though! you can tell they sometimes skimp on rice but it's okay - what matters is what's on the inside! I wouldn't recommend this as a dine in spot but if you're just trying to order some sushi rolls without raw fish for dinner at a cheap(er than other places in the area) option, this place won't disappoint you. read more

**Delivery/Take-out** We recently tried Ikura for some Japanese takeout when COVID claimed one of our frequently patronized sushi spots. We were pleasantly surprised by the wide variety available on the menu and the quality of ingredients. We have a young one who hasn't developed a taste for sushi yet but she loves their shrimp tempura appetizer as well as their yaki soba noodles with chicken. I have tried their salmon bento lunch box, sushi deluxe and Chirashi - all were quite delicious. My favorite, however, is the salmon lovers which comes with 5 salmon sushi and 1 salmon roll. We ordered lunch today and my husband ordered kimchi - which I didn't expect to be on the menu for a Japanese restaurant and it was wonderful - it will be on our order list again! read more

Ordered a chirashi bowl and a bubble tea for lunch for pickup. It was ready in about 10 minutes. During this time they have a table outside and will bring your order outside of the store. The chirashi was good and consistent with what you would expect from a neighborhood spot. The bubble tea was better than I expected, it wasn't overly sweet and the bubbles were cheery. Good lunch spot for Japanese food. I got the pork katsu bento box. It came with the katsu, 6 piece California roll, a side salad, and rice. The portions were hefty for the price I paid, $10. I can't speak for the delivery experience--I live in the neighborhood so I always make the ~10 minute walk to pick up--and I am always so happy that I chose to order from here instead of buying pre-made sushi from the local grocery stores. I have loved everything I've ordered so far, from the simple rolls to the traditional rolls to the (special) rolls that I order and I wonder if the sushi chefs are rolling their eyes at me... Ikura was great. Make sure you check in on yelp to get a free serving of edamame. I got the salmon teriyaki bento box. It was good. Jasmine bubble tea was delish. Came here with a party of 8, and they were super accommodating. Establishment is clean, and food is served promptly. Don't have any complaints really. Almost feels like a fast food place but healthier. I will certainly be back if I am in the area. Also - prices cannot be beat! read more

My bf and I used to LOVE Ikura. It was always our go-to take out place and felt it was good quality for the price point, and delivery was always crazy fast. I'm giving them a 1 Star and never ordering from them again as my boyfriend found this shard of glass (or maybe some hard plastic?) in a roll this evening. My whole experience with this restaurant was beyond disappointing. Ordering from here for the first time, I was excited to try something new- I was also starving ! The order was supposed to take 40 min and it took 90 min. At the 55 min mark, I called and they said "5 more minutes" so I waited. When the food finally came, the "crunchy" parts were soggy and the avocado was mushy. 2 of our 3 sushi rolls were way too salty. It did not taste fresh and my stomach felt a little off that night. Instead of offering me any refund or discount for my next order the manager said "well now you know our service and food aren't good so you don't have to order from here anymore". I won't be. My favorite sushi delivery in Williamsburg for years now. Affordable, always FRESH, friendly, and so fast I barely have time to put pants on before they get to my door. Noted: not a sit-down dining place (fluorescent lights, etc the one time I visited), but in my 10 years in this neighborhood, I now have these folks on speed-dial because they are consistently great. It's too bad they are getting bad reviews from Seamless orders. Maybe that's a new thing for them. I always call directly and they take good care of people like that. read more

The best sushi around. It is also extraordinarily fresh. I usually get the Godzilla roll and I always find that the avocado is extremely fresh and the mango is juicy! It's my favorite roll ever. I order from Ikura sometimes twice a week and I've never been disappointed and the price is nearly unbeatable! I live close by, so I've done both delivery and pick. Both experiences are seamless! The delivery is one of the fastest I've ever had with a simple hand off and the pick up was ready within 15 minutes! Can't recommend it enough!!! read more

I'm not really sure why there are bad reviews. Some people have ordered from Seamless and didn't like the service or food but the reality is take-out is the never the same as actually going to the location and eating it freshly made. I'm a local and come here frequently and the food has never disappointed. The women at the register are super nice and accommodating. Whoever said they are mean are very much mistaken. I have had many of their sushi rolls and bento box specials and again it's always delicious. Worth going to. read more

Surprisingly so their salmon has been consistently fresh. Due to covid, the quality of sushi at restaurants have been extremely disappointing in NYC. It has gotten to the point where my husband and I stopped ordering "exotic" and more expensive pieces of fish due to the lack of consistency. Great! Ordered mid-pandemic. They said it would be an hour and I got my order in around 30 minutes. Solid to go sushi. Made another rough day much better. Completely fresh and generous/expected in terms of portions. Dragon roll was yummy. Sashimi/sushi combo perfectly executed. Nice and easy to deal with phone order. Trying to be honest here. I was very happy with my cocktail choice as it was sweet and refreshing. I don't think it contained that much sake but good nonetheless. We also ordered chicken karaage (paired with a slice of lemon and a side of sauce), the crazy tuna, and the toro trio. Our favorite was the crazy tuna. The fish were all fresh and would defs come back here again if we're in the area in the future. Highly recommend the Caipisake and the crazy tuna!

The ramen was everything you want in a bowl -- a hearty, beef bone marrow broth with layers of flavor, bouncy chewy noodles, and an egg cooked perfectly. The short rib inside was extremely tender, and the toppings of fried garlic, green onions, and wood ear mushrooms added even more depth. The saba (miso-braised mackerel) was another highlight: extremely tender and moist, probably the best-prepared mackerel I've had, with a miso sauce that complemented it perfectly. The saikoro steak came as chunky, tender bites with a soy-vinegar garlic sauce that tied it all together beautifully. And the cucumber starter was cold, refreshing, and carried a nice spicy kick. Za-Ya nails Japanese comfort food with care and balance. The ramen and saba alone are worth the trip, and the sides round out a very satisfying meal.
