The ozakaya donburi set for $49 was amazing! It's a great meal to share between 2 and I really enjoyed the broth they pour into our leftover rice at the end. Mentaiko pasta was good and the crispy bacon pieces were pleasant. Will definitely come back, make sure you set a reservation even if it's a weekday.

I've been wanting to try this place for so long and was able to snatch a reservation at 4 pm on a Saturday on the day of. We tried a variety of dishes but we wish we could try even more. The fish tasted fresh and the staff was super attentive. Would love to come back to try more.

Originally made a reservation, however, something came up and I had to cancel. Then I went in person and put my party into waitlist and we got a table outside. We didn't have to wait for a long maybe like about 20 minutes. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. My friends and I came here for the set!! Ordered the Yuzu lemonade, mentai pasta, plum wine and Osaka donburi set. There are iffy about eating a raw egg, but I had no stomach issues after eating, which is good. Because I have stomach issues eating the raw egg in another country . The food is fresh. After you're halfway eating the rice from the set, they pour you the miso broth for you to eat the remaining rice. The miso broth is warm and cooked raw fish. There is outdoor seating, which is by the curb and inside seating.

We came here as a big group during lunch time and I have to say, while we were a big group ourselves and the dining area was full inside and back, the service felt sufficient and great. Most of the group ordered the Ozakaya Donburi bowl which was a bowl of rice with a very filling amount of raw fish and toppings. I cant relate as I dont eat raw but everyone raved about this. I ordered the unagi bowl, which is safe, delicious and super filling. All the appetizers were super delicious and everything honestly felt like came out in a reasonable amount of time. Will be back for more!

We were really excited to try Ozakaya after hearing so many good things, but unfortunately left a little disappointed. We ordered the chirashi bowl and kaishin don, and the fish was incredibly fresh and delicious. The service was also super quick, and our food came out almost immediately. That said, the portions felt quite small for the price, which was a bit of a letdown. Great quality fish, but the value wasn't quite there for us.

Went to Ozakaya for lunch on a busy Sunday afternoon and had a wonderful experience. We started with a House Green Salad, a Vanderbilt Roll and a A5 Wagyu Nigiri - all solid. What stood out the most were our entrees, Ozakaya Donburi Set and Kaishin Don, both excellent. Overall, terrific creative dishes and friendly service!

Good dining environment, the service is on point. The Sushi roll is at the average level, but I really like their tempura, very generously proportioned, pumpkin and sweet potatoes are so tender and sweet, pair with their sauce with daikon and dipping sauce, so yummy!! Most importantly, very reasonable priced with even shrimps there, great value!! A must order every time my family went when

Fish quality was amazing and perfect. I really enjoyed their sashimi platter and the wide variety of fish catered. The carpaccio was delectable and enjoyed with a creamy sauce on top with a zesty ponzu on the side that I think paired perfectly.

The sun was out, cherry blossoms were in full bloom, so we stopped by here after walking around the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, honestly perfect timing and vibes. This place is super popular and I get why. It was packed but the service was insanely quick and efficient, which I appreciated. We shared the chirashi (9/10) and a spicy tuna roll (7/10) and it was honestly more than enough food for both of us. The sashimi is chef's choice so you're getting whatever's freshest that day. Overall, the quality was excellent. A couple of pieces were a little on the flavorless side, but nothing that ruined the experience. I'd still give it a solid 9/10 and would definitely come back if I'm in the area again.

Menu choices were extensive and the food was very good. It definitely felt overpriced for what you got, though. Service was normal and all staff were nice. Ambiance was neutral, it didn't add or take away from the experience at all. All in all, I'd say it was justified for a one and done.

While visiting my Daughter in Prospect Heights we went to Ozakaya. We were seated in the back room past the kitchen which gave off an intimate garden vibe. I got the Donburi set with Uni. Fantastic delight of fresh fish over rice with egg, pickled veggies, tuna slices, and miso. My Daughter got the Kaishin Don, Kanpachi sashimi, and Madai sashimi. Everything was uber fresh. Service was great. Definitely worth a visit.

Wow, loved this restaurant! Been wanting to try the donburi bowls for a while since they went viral in Japan but ozakaya offered a very decent alternative in Brooklyn! The donburi set was incredible, as well as the mini omakase. We also got the hamachi collar and it was also extremely flavorful and worth an order. Definitely has become a popular spot and I'm sure they will become more so, so I'd definitely recommend a reservation. The space is smaller but fits well with the restaurant theme. Service was quick and helpful!

My family and I had the most amazing lunch here recently. We came on a weekday shortly after opening and were seated right away. My husband had the kaishin don, I had the Ozakaya donburi set and our girls shared the shoyu tonkatsu ramen. The fish was so incredibly fresh here and the rice was seasoned perfectly. My donburi set also came with dashi broth that the waitress later brought over to pour on top of the leftover rice in my bowl to be enjoyed at the end of the meal. The broth and rice combination was really comforting and satisfying. This dish was something I wanted to try in Japan but did not get a chance to experience when there, so I was excited to try it at Ozakaya. I was really pleasantly surprised by the ramen here as well. Although the pork could have been better/more tender, the broth was rich and seasoned so well and not too salty like other places. Last but not least, the service here was excellent and efficient. I would definitely come back here the next time I visit Brooklyn as there were many dishes on the menu I wanted to try!

Placing the order is so easy , staff is so endearing and friendly. There is a call bell when in need of any. Food served in no time. They just opened the business at noon for the day and lucky to be the first of their guests list. We ordered their yakitori platter and signature sampler being our first time here. In addition we had ramen , miso soup and eel/cucumber roll with it. It was such an interesting combination! We enjoyed both the samplers. We definitely know what we would be our pick for next visit. All our order was aesthetically pretty. Instagram worthy. Food taste met our expectations. The ambiance of the place is vibing. Decorations are pleasing. The private room and service are phenomenal. We had a great dining experience! There is great perk after spending more than a $100, a raffle for free food or drinks to be consumed on next visit. A great spot to be ! Come by.

But at last, as I searched on DoorDash I stumbled upon this glorious restaurant they call Izakaya Fuku. I was drawn to the adorable names for their sushi roll dishes like "Strawberry Fields" and their Italian Japanese fusion pasta dishes, "Creamy Mentaiko Bacon Pasta" with creamy mayonnaise, spicy cod roe and bacon like are you kidding me? It's a bummer I wasn't more hunger or that I didn't have more bucks in my wallet because I wanted all these dishes. And the Chirashi Don, god it looks so beautiful the way that it's arranged in the photos online. I finally decided on the carbonara. And I was drawn to the fact that it was udon based. Now, I've just been living in hawaii these past years so that Japanese twist on an Italian dish that I just love oh so much really brought me back to missing the islands and the Asian spins they had on cuisines. By the looks of the picture the restaurant looks lovely, I'd love to stop there and try it in person. Thank you. Thank you! My belly and my heart are very much satisfied.

The amount of noodles is decent and the toppings are pretty good the egg actually come with both half's rather than one like some places so that's good, my only gripe is that the cha siu isn't heated through after being served which tells me that they didn't torch it for long enough before serving. That usually also makes it less tender as the middle is still a little coagulated from being chilled prior. I would also assume that chicken broth is less calorie dense than pork so I also felt less guilty drinking it all. We searched Yelp and came across Konoba Yakitori, and it absolutely hit the spot. Everything we ordered was fresh, cooked to perfection, and reasonably priced. We had the gyoza, edamame, Hamachi Lover, Ebi Shu Mai, and the $15 Beef Set (three beef skewers), accompanied by hot tea and Ramune. The beef skewers were a highlight--tender meat with seasoning that was spot-on. Warm, welcoming, prompt, and super efficient. The pork had a light char that made the edges perfectly crispy. It was rich and fatty (in the best way) and the marinated cabbage gave it a nice fresh kick. It's been open for a few years, so clearly it has a good enough formula to keep the neighborhood happy. I have been here once before, but returned last week after dining several meals at Tomoni in Jackson Heights. Apparently, the owners are friends. Nonetheless, I needed to make the comparison. After my first few bites of their Tora Don and Chirashi Don, it was clear that this restaurant has the better quality seafood. Each slice of sashimi had vibrant colors, clean taste, and the proper texture. Tomoni is not bad, but fall slightly short of this caliber. With that said, there is an even farther gap between their rice quality. Though Tora is very good, Tomoni produces nearly perfect texture and acidity for my taste buds. Other than the best omakase restaurants in NYC, Tomoni shines as one of the best versions of sushi rice in the five boroughs. Service is good and space is cute. If I have a craving for some decent Japanese food, I would drive 20 minutes here for a meal anytime.
