The pizza is just OK but does have a nice view from the patio which we all enjoyed very much and they were able to accommodate all eight of us and next-door they do have wine and coffee and snacks that you can grab the keep the house you rent

We ate here our first night in Sorrento. They have a service that picks u up and drops u back off at your hotel. Good thing be aide it is all the way up in the mountains. Beautiful view. We were there at night but lunch or sunset dinner would be best. Although we did see fireworks in a distance. Tony the owner takes your oders gives u specials and reassures he is there for anything u need. Prices we extremely reasonable and food was very good. The lobster was cooked perfectly. Make a resi for an outside table.

The view...ohhhhhhh, the view. I think the view just happens to make the food taste even better than it already does. Our driver, Davide (pronounced "David", likely to accommodate our American accents) recommended this little place and it was delish. Freshly made pasta (of course) and sauces...each one better than the one served before it. Loved the fantastic service, the setting and the view. Freshly made breads with verdant Italian olive oil, bruschetta with tomatoes whose taste is so exquisite I have no idea how I'll eat an American tomato again. The same tomatoes that make up the pomodoro, it was like eating a velvet tomato only much more flavorful. Crisp lettuce made up the salad. Couldn't have planned a more memorable lunch in the city of Sorrento.

This may have been the best meal I have ever eaten. Everything at this place was above and beyond our expectations from the staff, to the view, to the atmosphere, to the food. Started with the grilled calamari and vegetables, followed by the most perfectly cooked crab stuffed ravioli with fresh mussels and clams, then a main dish of sea bream in a lemon and basil butter sauce, finished all with a lemon cream cake and shots of limoncello. My girlfriend had same except did her main dish as sausage with mozzarella, I tried it and it was good... But not as good as the sea bream. You gotta remember seafood is going to be the way to go here since it's right of the coast. Make sure you make reservations for this place well in advance (especially during May-August) and if you are from out of the country and working with a travel agent, it helps to have them book it. Gracie Mille to all of the wait staff and chefs! We truly felt like we were treated as honored guests.

    Great prices

Amazing dinner at Il Borgo. We were looking for a restaurant with a nice view and good food and Il Borgo didn't disappoint. We sat on the small patio overlooking Sorrento. We ordered pizza, risotto and pasta - everything tasted (and was) homemade and very delicious. Overall excellent food, great view and great prices.

We started with the Fiori de zuccha ripieni and it was phenomenal. It was lightly fried with a slight crisp outer crust and the cheese was creamy. A delightful starter. We also had the Provola affumicata e salame calabro crostoni. The salame was spicy but delicious. The dough had amazing flavors of garlic and cheese. It was simply delightful. My husband had the sea bass in a lemon butter sauce with potato's. The potato's had a nice crisp on the outside. I had the special of the day, which was the ragu with sausage, meatballs and short ribs. The pasta was similar to a rigatoni but bigger. The sauce was delicious. Their house wine was a perfect touch to pair with our meal. We ended it with some limoncello. We were too full to eat any dessert. I'm sure it would have been delicious. After each course, they brought out clean silverware, which is a nice touch. I also noticed that a lot of restaurants throughout Italy plays American music but this restaurant played Italian music which was a nice touch.

She said her steak was disappointing. It was "dry and stringy". But for those of us who ordered fish as our main courses, it was perfection. Maybe seafood is their strength. Absolutely LOVED the Medallion of mozzarella in carrozza on tomato coulis and black olive sand. I could have made an entire meal out of that. We then had the pasta linguine with "scapece" zucchini and burrata cheese from Monti Lattari. Highly recommend. Came out beautifully. I was too impatient to eat it that I forgot to take a pic first. It was beautifully plated though. I had the Wood-smoked red snapper fillet. It had a semolina, lemon and saffron crust, and rested upon roasted potato and basil cream. Delicious. Perfectly cooked. I took a bite of the Sea bass fillet with orange sauce and capers. The oranges are grown in the Sorrento garden. I liked the sea bass even more than my own. I've been to Sorrento 4x now and this was easily my favorite meal I've ever had here.

Since it was so hot during our stay in Sorrento, we opted to sit inside. We were guided down a flight of stairs, which led to an elegant dining area that was once the 16th century wine cellar for a former monastery. There is also another flight of stairs that lead up to more seating, and the wine cellar. Once seated, we were handed the wine menu, which listed countless choices. Admitting we were in over our heads, a Sommelier, Geppino, was sent to our table. He was wonderful! Warm, friendly, helpful and extremely passionate about his role. He suggested a 2020 Chianti we thoroughly enjoyed, and which paired well with everything we ate. We were so taken with his hospitality and energy, that we took two bottles of wine home with us! My husband ordered the Raviolo for his first course, and the Beef for his second. I chose to hand my selections over to the chef, ordering the "In Our Hands" portion of the Scent of the Land. Everything that came out, was beyond fabulous. Even my husband, who is not a foodie, gave high praise. There was artistry in every presentation. Proteins were melt in your mouth tender and enveloped in savory sauces and tender pasta. Natural fats were beautifully balanced with subtle bits of acidity that left your palette satisfied yet craving for more. You could taste culinary expertise in every bite, with each plate being perfectly portioned. With each serving, it was obvious how much care the kitchen put into each dish. Service was on point, with staff constantly circling the restaurant, watching to see if anything was needed. They were friendly and engaging, and made us feel like we were the only ones in the restaurant. Il Buco served up some of the best food we have ever had. True craftmanship from beginning to end.

The chef's starter was not my favorite, very mushy textures for the burrata esque one and the octopus one, but the potato one was fine. The bread basket with an assortment of breads is delicious. The Giglio pasta with salmon comes moving which is cool, but it was also very unique and good. The catch of the day was solid. The gnocco was great, but also my vegetarian family got the dish modified so who knows what it was supposed to taste like actually lol. The tiramisu was very different but good and the tiramisu espresso martini was out of this world tbh
