Ryan made our experience a million times better. He was detailed, kind, and patient as I navigated the menu with my allergy. He replaced dirty napkins as my partner ate a Florentine steak, and he ended up knowing us my first name by our last day. I am eternally grateful for Ryan and the attention to my allergy he assured and that the restaurant provided. I wish we could dine here everyday, but truly our experience here made our trip more magical. I also have to highlight that we went to Venice, Florence, and Rome during our trip and the pizza at Trattoria La Madia was THE BEST of all the places we dined at. The fagotti itself was so flavorful and the sauce was sooo decadent, sweet, and creamy. We are still dreaming of this pasta. The Pici in Rivolta was pici spaghetti that came in a sauce with slow-cooked braised beef, mushroom, onion, and olive oil. The beef was melt-in-your-mouth and the sauce was so rich. My girlfriend got sick from eating a piece and said it tasted old. I tried a piece and my stomach immediately turned as the the taste of expired meat hit my tongue. I bit into another piece for good measure and the same case. I absolutely love pizza and I can honestly say this is the absolute worst pizza that I have ever had in my life. We ordered 2 pizzas and left more than 1 and 1/2 pizzas on the table. I hate wasting food and I have never left pizza behind to get thrown out.
