Bought some jams as well as pickled beets and onions from Erickson Ranch at the Dixon Arts and Crafts Fair November 2020 and they are amazing. Taste is out of this world good and the pickled beets and onions were gone within minutes of opening the jar. Loved buying something from the person who made it. Erickson Ranch is deffinatley a gem of Fairfield...Today I went for the first time with my chef, and had a great time... I know this is labled as Farmers Market, but it is just the farm...they have a stand set up that you can buy prepicked food, but you can also go pick your own which is what I did, and buy the way way cheaper! I got 4 of two different plums, 4 nectorines, 10 big ass tomatoes, I 2# onion and a head of garlic, and the total came to 8.50$!!! They have a huge variety of stuff to pick, tomatoes, beets, herbs, peppers, lettuces, 15 varieties of peaches, probably about 8 varieties of plums, squash, pumpkins... One other cool thing that I did not do, is their flower garden...you cut, and they charge by the inch...not inch tall, what they do is take you bouquet, and messure around the stems...its a buck an inch...you can get a bunch that would probably cost 50-100$ at a flower shop for 10bucks!!! This farm is deffinatley the place I will be doing most of my produce shopping during the summer. Check it out! read more

I am finally (!) getting around to reviewing Ericksons! (and pining for June, when they reopen!) Ok, I will be honest, we absolutely love this place!!! Ericksons is our favorite produce market/farm in the Suisun Valley area. They display pretty baskets of delicious fruits & veggies, yummy jams & local honeys set up in the rustic-charming barn. One of the best parts of Ericksons is you can go wander through the pretty flower & vegetable garden and cut/dig out your own potatoes, carrots, lettuce & flowers and other goodies that are growing on their farm! It's a family-run farm and it has a quaint 'Martha' feel but is relaxed, laid-back and totally awesome. I could hang out here all day ;) The Ericksons are really cool and very friendly. Note: it's easy to miss their driveway, just look for the adorable 1940s pickup truck parked out front. Their golden retrievers welcome you as you pull up to the barn. Oh, and they have the most awesome heirloom varieties of peaches we've ever had... :) See you there in June! read more

love love love love love! We went on a whim after visiting the Jelly Belly Factory and were so pleasantly surprised to find this delightful u-pick farm. Truly a pleasure to find such a beautiful, idyllic spot. It's a 33 acres farm nestled away from the urban/industrial sprawl, where you can pick up a basket and roam through the garden to pick your own veggies. We had a blast digging up carrots and potatoes, and just enjoyed being in the relaxing setting. A large bag of fresh picked veggies and a few lbs of peaches was just $9. Picked up some delish fresh homemade jam as well. If only they sold pies I would probably just die happy right on the spot. After eating it. I will be back for sure. read more

When I learned that our usual u-pick in Knightsen did not have u-pick this year due to the drought, I began searching on Yelp for an alternative. Erickson ranch had the best reviews, so we gave it a shot. It's easy to find, and about 45 minutes from Oakland. They have plenty of fresh produce to purchase - tomatoes, onions, apples, several different varieties of melon , tomatoes, shallots, peppers - you get the idea. As tempting as everything looked, we were there to pick our own. The ladies at the farm stand seemed surprised we didn't bring our own buckets ( huh?) and scrambled around to locate a couple for us. We strolled around while we waited and enjoyed the gorgeous flowers, the bountiful fruit trees and petted Sam, their friendly pit bull. Once we secured our buckets we headed out to the tomato fields and filled up our two buckets in short order. There were tons of them, and in great shape. One of the many things I love about picking tomatoes, besides the great flavor and knowing you chose them yourself, is the wonderful spicy scent the leaves and vines give off. Love it! We picked 63 lbs of tomatoes ( WOW) and paid around $40. A steal! And I canned them and got about 14 quarts. That'll get us through the winter. read more

I moved to the green valley area about a year and on one of my weekly, let's get lost down a country road drives I found this gem! I loved that I could make my own flower arrangements. I also bought some body cream there that smelled amazing and made my skin so soft. I didn't buy any produce on that trip but when I go back in a few days I intend on doing so. we followed another yelp review and scheduled a stop on the way to the jelly belly factory with our three kids. This place was amazing!!!!!!!!! such a great surprise and a wonderful experience. For most of our visit we were the only people on the farm. It really feels like you are a guest at someone's private ranch. The ladies that were working there were very helpful. we started by using a wagon for the two little kids and went out to pick tomatoes and peppers. Then we wandered the pumpkin field. We went through the vegetable and herb garden and picked a couple carrots. We finished by buying some persimmons and melons and then taking our peppers to the chili roasting station! Bought a 9-oz glass jar of raspberry for $8 today. Will try it tomorrow morning. Went to Larry's Produce earlier to get some Russet potatoes without success. That's why I got to Erickson. My first time here. Parking is not plenty enough to accommodate a multitude of customers. If you like picking peaches, this place will be your choice. FRESH IS THIS DESTINATION - and it could not get better! We just came home from a stop at Erickson's Ranch with a load of the MOST GORGEOUS AND FLAVORFUL TOMATOES EVER!! They are the biggest, brightest crimson orbs with beautiful skin, oozing flavorful juices with melt in your mouth flesh. THIS is what summer tomatoes taste like! Plus we picked up the HEAVIEST watermelon that was so big we could hardly carry it to the car. It is so sweet and juicy. Yep, it has seeds! REAL fruits and veggies have seeds! This is the real deal, and we couldn't be happier to be able to spit them out and have fun again! Apples - REAL apples with THIS YEAR'S FLAVOR! These are NOT storage apples, with that mealy texture and nondescript flavor. Biting into the crisp flesh with juice running down your chin is a rite of fall. These are even Red Delicious apples - the notorious apple that lasts "forever" in the nitrogen storage recesses. NOT THESE Red Delicious apples! OMGoodness, they are as fresh and sweet as the apples of "the good old days" when food was something we knew the taste of! Plus, there were peaches. I bagged a few (no pun intended) for a cobbler or pie, but I am sure my husband will make short order of these delicious fruits. They are kissed by the sun, and heavenly in flavor! And peppers!!! I had to go to the fields to pick some myself - because I just had a calling. There were plenty already picked, but... I have a hard time STOPPING, as I tend to just pick and pick. They had beautiful Poblano peppers and I DID pick and pick. They are just hanging on the vines, waiting to be purchased. So of course, I did just that! There were also some "New Mexico" peppers and some Anaheims too. We took them to the roaster, and they went in, heated right up and sat in our trunk a while before I am peeling the skins off. The car has never smelled so good, and it will be awesome to freeze some to use a bit later. Oh, the jams! My husband picked out some for Christmas gifts - and I already know from experience that these jams are not only specially prepared and seasoned, but they aren't the "usual loaded with sugar" sweet jams. You taste the real fruit flavor and it is highlighted with sweetness. Talk about excellence! But with all good things.... hurry in to get yours too! It is already October - tomorrow. Plus, the pumpkins won't last forever! I hear they will be all gone before Halloween this year. Erickson's has some gorgeous pumpkins and gourds, and they will be gone before you know it. Finally, don't forget to say "Hi" to Victoria and Ray. They are such wonderful people and they put everything into their ranch! You can tell - it is just everything a ranch should be! I went to Erickson Ranch for the first time yesterday and boy am I glad that I did. We bought 5 lbs. of peaches and they were the best. Talk about sweet. In addition to all of the wonderful fresh fruit and vegetables the grounds are amazing. Full of beautiful plants and flowers. My children enjoyed the chickens and dogs! Something for everyone! My daughter and her 8 bridesmaids picked all the flowers for her wedding (180 guest) two days before her wedding. The total cost was $150. That is unheard of for wedding flowers. They arranged them and made their bouquets the next day and the beautiful "wild flower" table settings and bouquets were perfect. I wish I could post pictures to show how beautiful they were. The Ericksons were so helpful and friendly. I highly recommend them! read more

I looked at the harvest schedule online and it says tomatoes and peppers. We loved going here to pick our own veggies. We look forward to it. We live in Vallejo so it's not far, but not real close either. Today we enjoyed ourselves picking tomatoes and peppers. When we got to the register, I was scolded for picking my own veggies. The lady said we were not allowed to pick them. I checked the schedule online. There was no sign. Nobody stopped us from grabbing a basket and picking tomatoes. But the cashier made me feel like I had made some offense, gave me a dirty look as she called the boss. We left with no veggies. We will never return here. read more

Best kept secret of Solano county. If you have forgotten what a truly ripe peach, nectarine, or ear of corn tastes like, you owe it to yourself to be reminded of years gone by picking up some fresh fruit or veggies during the summer here. Other markets have their place, but this is my favorite place to buy fruit and vegetables. Don't expect elbow-to-elbow crowds jostling for truckloads of produce. It's a small farm market and everything you see was grown there. In fact, it is the best truly 'local' produce I know of for the Fairfield area (the rest, including Larry's, seem to truck in stuff from who-knows-where). Erickson's has seasonal fruit (apples, pears, grapes, nectarines, corn, tomatoes, squash, potatoes, onions) many in multiple varieties, but not too many of any one type. Look for the 'overripe' table if you plan to eat them right way - a slight discount for buying even tastier produce! Tip: Bring your own used bags if you remember. Erickson's is only a couple miles off the 80 on the historic highway 40 (south of the 80), but you feel like you're going back in time past the Thompson Corner's Saloon (oldest in Solano county) and the Oiled Birds Rescue center. Erickson's is just past the 25 mph corner when coming from the Green Valley Road exit. Watch for the rusty old farm truck and sign. If you go past it (or come from the Fairfield direction) you'll see the gigantic Anheuser Busch wind turbine. In fact, this is a nice bypass route for afternoon traffic. I only wish the farm was open all year round, but that's a fact of life. read more

i went here for the first time last weekend...and my only regret is that i didn't discover them sooner! it's a fun experience for families...and a great place to get your produce. though it rained a bit...we picked our own produce & had fun (and got a bit of exercise) doing so. oh...and the cal red peach jam is absolutely delicious! bit of advice if you're going to pick your own...wear shoes that you can hose off...as it can get a bit muddy in those fields. read more
