This place was highly recommended so we made it a special date night. Reservations are a must. It's set in a strip mall so you would never even notice it if you drive by. A group of 6 of us went here for a friend's birthday. When we got there there was only one other table in the area we were sitting in. The server (Abby) seemed to have both of the tables. While she was friendly when she initially greeted our table, it was obvious quickly that there was a lack of hospitality. We ordered dirty martinis, but 2 of us got kettle one and 3 got tito's vodka. When we were served them (not by our server) there was no differential way of knowing whose was whose. We asked Abby and she obviously was unsure and said "it should be fine" and walked away from our table. When I took a sip of mine, it was clearly not kettle one vodka (I know because that is the only vodka I drink in martinis and it is MUCH smoother than tito's). When I voiced this, she seemed annoyed - took my glass and came back with one that was extremely watered down. It was almost as if it was taken back to the bar, put back in the shaker, and served to me again. During dinner, we ordered a few more drinks, some of us switching to wine. We had to repeat our order 3 times. Now to be fair, more tables had been sat and she did seem to have all of them. With that said, I am assuming the manager came over at some point and announced he would be around if we needed anything. He never mentioned his position or his name. At this point, our food was put on the table (half of the entrees to the wrong people - again, the food runners were the ones to drop the plates, not our server). One of our wines was completely forgotten and when we voiced this to Abby, our server, she told us "not to worry". Another almost 10 minutes went by and we still did not receive the glass of wine mentioned. We mentioned it again and she was clearly annoyed with us and at some point made a comment along the lines of: "I wish I were where you guys are". We also ordered dessert, and we also repeated that order 3 times - and one of our desserts were completely forgotten. We did not mention it and she never noticed - and upon receiving the bill, it was not on there at all. As someone who has worked in the restaurant business for several years, there was a CLEAR attitude that was given as if we were bothering her. There was never a once "I'm sorry for the delay" or "I'm sorry I am the only one in here, is there anything I can do" and to me that was the most bizarre part. This restaurant was delicious and the service was excellent. We had a reservation for 8pm but my date was running extremely late since was was coming from far and stuck in traffic. Unlike most restaurants in this area, Norman the manager was extremely accommodating and lets us start our dining experience around 9pm when the restaurant was soon closing. When we came in and sat down we were not at all rushed, we felt very welcomed. Our server Carmen was the sweetest. She was attentive and accommodating. The mozzarella was nice and firm On the outside and creamy on the inside. I had the Scallops. Now I've eaten scallops in plenty of restaurants and these were amazing. Cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. My husbands Halibut was also perfect. The seared outside almost had a sweetness to it. It was so good. The waiter suggested items we try as his favorites; the black spaghetti and taccozzelle. Next time I will absolutely try it. I know overkill, but I am very specific and it was a special evening... So I walk in, and at this point, I'm joking with them how many times I've called to be sure I had the room I wanted, and the girl at the desk even says, yes I spoke with you 3 times! Lolol...we have a laugh... Then, they proceed to walk me to a dining room which clearly is not the main dining room and they look at me and say sorry, I thought this is what you meant... we call both rooms the main dining room... seriously,wtf? I was polite and told her I'd wait for the room I wanted and she said sorry, all tables have just been sat.... Really?? Well... needless to say, I was so annoyed at that point I just didn't enjoy the experience as I should have... I typically order the pork chop, the short rib or the ribeye. The menu and accompaniments do change, so last week I missed the pear with the pork chop, but the roast cherries hit just as well!
