Elizabeth's is definitely a cut above. While I know that Italian restaurants are a dime a dozen in New Jersey, this place is certainly a "go to" place for that special dinner. Our party of 6, seated promptly, was celebrating 3 birthdays (more on that later). the overall decor is very distinctive, much like 618 and Mezcal. Once seated, our server, Carmen D, could not have been nicer - water came quickly followed by drink orders. We ordered a mix from the bar - 2 GL Super Tuscans, 1 Hugo Spritz, 1 Good Behavior, 1 Tanqueray Shot/Mixer and 2 Waste Managements. We began our meal with a shared Chopped Salad that was excellent and more than enough for the table. The menu is varied when you factor in the many different options for sauces, etc.. The Short Rib Pappardelle was excellent, my wife had the Mushroom Risotto and she loved it!. Two of our group chose the Sunday Sauce option while the Pork Chop was terrific as well as the Chicken Parmesan (my choice) with crispy Prosciutto was excellent. Bottom line, we all enjoyed our meals as well as the excellent bread. Dessert was considered but the restaurant brought us 3 frozen desserts (from Jersey Freeze?). Not exactly convenient, it was worth the drive and we will be back. read more

It's all about the ambiance here, tons of glitz and glimmer along with music that is a bit too loud. The food: pasta bolognese, their seafood salad and clams in broth were all good but only the clams were a standout. The wine list just okay with above average pricing for the reds anyway. With nearly 20 staff running around, a feeling of being too busy. Still had to request a server to pick up used plates and another one for silverware after our food was previously delivered. In fairness they are new and hopefully the kinks will be worked out soon. Overall not a bad experience but not a five star experience at this price point. Elizabeth's is the newest entry from the Death of Hospitality group into the "don't bother going into NYC when you can have just as much fun in Central Jersey" category. Like many people online, I was skeptical walking in. Old-school Italian at Manhattan prices? In New Jersey? That's a bold ask in a state where good Italian-American restaurants are practically as ubiquitous as McDonalds. Naturally, a firsthand taste test was required. Before you even walk through the door, the Spritz car parked outside clues you in that this is not your local red-sauce joint. If a Brooklyn interior designer raised on equal parts Banksy and Instagram was asked to collaborate with an Italian Eurovision DJ, Elizabeth's is probably what you'd get: cheeky food puns splashed across the walls in Sunday-gravy red, cocktails designed as much for your camera as your taste buds, and techno remixes of Pavarotti's Nessun Dorma blasting through the dining room. Across all of DOH's properties, one constant is fantastic service, and Elizabeth's is no exception. Our waitress, Corinne, was a former pastry chef at Le Bernardin who also managed a Texas Roadhouse at one point. That combination somehow makes perfect sense. She had the fine-dining chops to explain every dish in detail while still feeling approachable and down-to-earth. You go, Corinne. What impressed me most was that we visited on the restaurant's second night of service and never once felt opening-week growing pains. The place already operated like a well-oiled machine. Now onto the food and drinks, which is why we're all here in the first place. Is Elizabeth's the overpriced disappointment some people online are proclaiming? Absolutely not. That said, the menu has some serious peaks and valleys. The highs are very high. The lows are... well, lower than you'd hope at these prices. For our table of four: Whipped Ricotta - Good flavor, but very one-note. The ricotta was served by itself in a bowl and not as part of a charred toast that you might expect. Instead we ended up using the complimentary bread, to dip which while fine wasn't particularly memorable. Short Rib Arancini- Crispy, meaty, and perfectly fried. The tomato jam brought an unexpected twist. Oddly enough, the overall flavor profile reminded me more of Indian food than Italian, and I mean that as a compliment. Spicy Vodka Pasta - A major letdown. The spice was muted, the sauce lacked richness, and the whole dish felt oddly restrained. Hard pass. Semolina Gnocchi - The comparisons to La Lupa's Roman gnocchi are unavoidable, and unfortunately this version comes up short. It's ok, but lacks the deep savory, umami-packed punch that makes La Lupa's version one of the best bites I've had all year. Cacio e Pepe- Absolute must-order. A full-blown flavor bomb. While cacio e pepe can sometimes feel heavy, this version somehow ate light while delivering wave after wave of cheesy, peppery, umami goodness. Chicken Parmesan - Everybody asks the same question: who's paying $38 for chicken parm in New Jersey? Apparently me. And I am here to report that this dish is worth every penny. This may very well be the best chicken parm I've ever had. The cutlet is beautifully fried while remaining juicy throughout, covered edge-to-edge with perfectly melted cheese and your choice of sauce. Originally, we planned on the spicy vodka sauce, but since we already were ordering that as a standalone dish, Corinne wisely steered us toward the Spicy Calabrian. Thank God she did. Unlike the Spicy Vodka, this sauce came out swinging with a legitimate spicy kick and tasted like it was made with a whole lot of both nonna love and anger. The dish also comes with a side of pasta, making it one of the better values on the menu. Sunday Sauce- My brother-in-law's selection. He seemed underwhelmed at first, but the deeper he got into the bowl, the happier he became. Sausage, meatballs, short rib. Every bite seemed to reveal another layer of meaty goodness. By the end, he was fully converted. The drinks were also a hit. Some arrived in carved Roman busts, others hidden beneath giant Ferrero Rocher shells. At $15-$20 each, they aren't cheap, but the bartenders clearly know what they're doing. Between the quality and the presentation, they felt like a good value and doubled as dessert. Just like Mezcal and 618, the quality-to-price ratio varies dramatically across the menu. Elizabeth's rewards diners willing to do a little treasure hunting to find the winners. Would we come back? Absolutely. Only 24 more visits until I earn my spot on the graffiti-covered VIP wall at the entrance. read more

My husband and I finally made it to Elizabeth's and it was a 10/10. We didn't have a reservation but we were able to put our name in for an outdoor patio table. The wait was about 30 minutes so we grabbed a drink at the bar while we waited, which made the time fly by and was a great way to start the evening. We shared a few dishes so we could try as much as possible and every single thing was outstanding. We started with the short rib arancini and the chopped salad, which were both incredible. For our main we had the chicken parm (because you have to!), with spicy vodka and it did not disappoint. Crispy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. We also ordered a side of Brussels sprouts and they were so good we couldn't stop reaching for them. One thing that really stood out was the quality of the ingredients. Our server shared that their pasta is made using semolina flour imported from Italy and after tasting everything I could definitely appreciate the attention to detail and quality that goes into the food. The cocktails were great. I had a Hugo Spritz and the Red Bottom margarita. Both were refreshing and well balanced. My husband loved the pistachio espresso martini, and a whiskey cocktail recommended by our server which had cucumber and melon. Even though we were full we couldn't leave without dessert. I ordered the pistachio gelato and it was the perfect ending to the meal. The atmosphere was lively and energetic, making it a great spot for date night or a celebration. We shared the holy trinity absolutely devoured it. also the clams, they were in such a delicious sauce! we got chicken parm ( obviously ) as we have heard it to be outstanding, and it sure was!!! I am not a vodka sauce fan ( yes I know boooo ) so I was not happy with the rigatoni, but the table of vodka lovers was! I had burrata added to mine, wonderful decision. we also had the mushroom risotto with scallops on the side- 20/10!! we had a dessert drink; the ferrero rocher, which was delicious! very nicely presented aswel. we shared tiramisu for 2 and the italian job I think it was called, with the gelato and cherries, the only thing I would change is the soaked biscotti because it's soaked in something licorice tasting and that a huge no for me, remove that and 20/10. simple and delicious! over all experience was great wish it was not so far away because we would be regulars :) read more

We celebrated our anniversary at Elizabeth's and the restaurant exceeded our expectations. Although a busy Friday night, the service, food, atmosphere and attention to detail was exceptional. Appetizers we sampled were the Holy Trinity and the whipped ricotta. Simple dishes, but the flavor and presentation elevated from other similar ones we've tried. Our table's main courses included their highly praised chicken and veal parm. We can only echo all the accolades for those dishes found in the many reviews already posted for this young restaurant. Our server was attentive and when he discovered we were celebrating a special occasion had our drinks personalized and had us laughing re-enacting the Disney "Lady and the Tramp" romantic restaurant scene with a little plate of pasta and candle. Such fun! Elizabeth's manages to not only provide expert service and food but it also makes you feel like family when you dine there. This restaurant should be on your must visit list. read more

But it's even harder to serve up a version that is truly memorable in every sense of the word. We had an opportunity to go to Elizabeth's Italian in Old Bridge and we're so glad we did! Thanks Eddie Sunday for making the arrangements! Just opened Wednesday! I've been waiting for this one to open for months. The same people behind 618 in Freehold and Mezcal in Old Bridge put together what feels like a truly unique, one of a kind Italian experience that needs to be enjoyed for yourself. I don't blow smoke about businesses that don't deserve it. But the Chicken Parm with Spicy Vodka here was one of the best I've ever had. The Vodka sauce was creamy, smooth and flavored perfectly. I love spice so that addition was perfect. The chicken stayed crispy due to the way they presented it. Only half the chicken gets a ladle of sauce, so you can smother the chicken when it's time to eat. It was juicy, flavorful, perfectly cooked and covered in mozzarella without being dominant in one flavor. Perfect balance. The pasta was soft and supple, semolina rigatoni. The whole table next to me had different variants of the Chicken Parm. We had incredibly delicious drinks, amazing apps and this star of the show. read more

I'm a big fan of 618- it's my favorite restaurant ever. I've also been to Mezcal, so I was super excited about the opening of Elizabeth's. Made a reservation and was so excited to finally come. The parking lot is definitely bigger and has plenty of spots. I loved the aperol spritz truck out front. Upon entering, the restaurant is more dimly lit, and the music is loud. They sat us in the main dining area. The place is definitely a vibe, sexy, and super captivating. I had asked if I could get their cosmo, but without grapefruit vodka as I don't do grapefruit and was told I couldn't get it with a non flavored vodka. To make things easy, I just got the red bottom drink which was very good. I would like to point out that they offer a drink that comes with a pair of diamond earrings for $600...wild. We got the mozzarella carrozza app which we liked. Got the chicken parm with red sauce, non spicy which I loved. The pasta it came with was okay. We also got a couple veggies for the side: the carrots were okay, the potatoes kind of boring, the Brussels were good and I really liked the broccolini. We got the Ferrero Rocher dessert drink, which had an awesome presentation but kind of tasted like chocolate milk. We also got the lemon basil olive oil cake which didn't really do it for me either. The service was pretty good. I will think I prefer the service and food at 618. For me it's consistently excellent there. For the price point I guess I expected to be wowed a little bit more. Nothing was bad, but it wasn't as incredible as I find all my experiences at 618 to be. I will say they knocked it out for the park with the vibe and ambiance. Got an early reservation at Elizabeth's Italian in Old Bridge and it was outstanding...I can't believe we have a restaurant like it in our neighborhood. As we walked in, at least 8 people made a point to approach us and make us feel welcome. It was as if they knew us, which they didn't. This was our first visit. It won't be our last. They were genuinely happy that we chose Elizabeth's, and from that point on, the service was top shelf. The vibe is elegant, whimsical and just plain cool. Lots of details that, all together, make you feel like this place is special - tiny Italian car in the welcome area, fun mirrors that put a smile on you face, vines and candles hanging from the ceiling, a wall with TVs - some real, showing Goodfellas, The God Father, The Sopranos, A Bronx Tale. Who ever designed this place has an eclectic sense, and it all works beautifully. Now the yummies - whipped ricotta with toasts: slammin' - clams in a spicy broth that delivered flavor that we have never had any where else: to die for - Casio e Pepe: the most luscious and comforting, full of flavor and the-best we have ever had - grilled bronzino with grilled vegetables with a light pesto: drop dead amazing - and the chicken parm with vodka pasta: awesome, luscious, juicy, flavor for days. We were stuffed and skipped dessert. We will be back soon and make sure we enjoy all the incredible dessert options next time. Yes, the prices are higher than all the pizzerias in Old bridge. My husband and I came to celebrate our anniversary and we started out with the trinity which was meatballs riceballs and calamari with two sauces!! Then my husband had the seafood risotto which was full of seafood!! I had the cacio e Pepe with a side of grilled shrimp! So much shrimp that I couldn't even eat it all!! For dessert we shared a budino which was a chocolate/caramel pudding dessert which was Heaven!! Then we also had the Italian job which had vanilla ice cream cherries shaved chocolate and anisette cookies !!! It was an incredible night of food and ambience!! Disappointing. Very disappointing. We eagerly anticipated our meal here because we have had many excellent experiences at the other two restaurants (Mezcal and 618) that this group owns. It was not to be. The food was at best meh, our waitress was aloof, but at least it was expensive. In an area filled with good Italian restaurants, this place does not stand out. My bone strip steak and potatoes had so much salt on it that it raised my blood pressure just by looking at it. Once I was done scraping the salt off of it, at least it was cooked as I had asked. The seafood risotto fra diavolo was supposed to be spicy, indeed, the waitress condescendingly asked if we knew what that meant, but it was mild at best. The clams we had as an appetizer were more spicy, those came out in an excellent broth but more than half the clam shells were empty. The dessert, some sort of salted caramel and chocolate concoction, was dry and not terribly flavorful. The server was also obviously annoyed that we only ordered one dessert and declined any coffee, etc.. I must give credit where credit is due. The bar staff was excellent and our Old Fashioneds were very good. The bus staff was attentive. This service is typical of the other restaurants in this group. Our server, however, could not have been less engaging, and it was apparent that we were noting more than another table to her. We were there for an occasion, and when she came out to take our picture we declined. She made no attempt to hide her displeasure with us for doing so. "Mild" best describes the entire meal and experience. We've had better meals at any number of Italian restaurants. We will not return. read more

Okay, I want to be completely honest here. The decor is beautiful! The dining room is tastefully decorated. The food is okay. I was shocked when our entrees came out but no one came to clear our table before. The runner literally had to leave our hot food waiting, getting cold, while he cleared the table himself! We don't blame him, there wasn't really anything he could do. He served our meals which one was a filet mignon. Unfortunately, this filet was served with a butter knife, not even a steak knife! We also asked for the steak to be served with NO SAUCE but it came drenched with the sauce. Disappointing to say the least. Oh and 14 dollars for a non alcoholic drink is just offensive. $300 bill including a 50 dollar tip and we had to cut our steak with a butter knife. Upon stepping inside it's clear to see the attention to detail throughout the entire restaurant. Breathtaking. Wait staff second to none attentive but not Intrusive very knowledgeable and friendly. Now the nitty gritty. Hubby ordered mozzarella en Carrozza totally enjoyed all of it. Grandmas meatballs were good not great but they were also eaten. Caesar salad was strikingly delicious dressing was clean crisp and flavorful as were the ciabatta croutons! Everyone ordered the signature dish chicken parm! Split reviews here my husband said it was very salty but the texture and quality was good he enjoyed the sauce. As for me I agree it was a tad too salty I'm guessing it was in the crumbs it was fried nice but trying to decide if it was deep fried or pan fried as there is a difference. The chicken was super crispy but very very tender. In my opinion it he San marzano sauce was undercooked a bit as well. Our friends had chicken parm as well with spicy vodka sauce which they enjoyed one felt the vodka sauce was underwhelming and the pasta was a tad soft everyone else enjoyed the pasta and it was the perfect amount. The bread they serve and advertise as semolina bread is def. Not that but it was ok. Drinks were delicious as was dessert! We will be back at some point just not tomorrow. read more

We go way back as customers at 618 and waited two months to get a reservation here on a Tuesday night. So much anticipation! The food is good but not great. The chicken parm was tasty but dry. The house made pasta before the sauce is added is pretty flavorless and gummy. We found the service to be overly solicitous and definitely not nearly as polished as at 618. The noise level is extremely high. The hype for this place is really over the top. Maybe we'll try it again in a year or so when things settle down a bit, but for now I think we're done. read more

We came here to celebrate our anniversary and had heard great things about the chicken parm so I was excited to try. I got mine with vodka sauce and he got his with red sauce and we were both very impressed. The chicken was nice and crispy, moist, cheesy, and I loved that it's perfectly sauced. Our server was also lovely. So the things I didn't love: the music is very loud, it can be hard to hear each other if you're trying to have a conversation. I am also not a fan of banquette seating in restaurants. I always feel like I'm at the same table as the people next to us, and in our case they interjected into our convo, which made it seem even less private. The tables are very close together. And the 3% charge for paying with a card should not be passed down to the customer, in my opinion. You're already paying a lot for your food. If those things don't bother you, then you'll probably give it 5 stars, the food we had was delicious. read more

Maybe Music from mob movies Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin oldies etc. since they playing mob movies. ,,after 9 pm do the club music that they were playing.
