There's a beautiful new Italian restaurant in Marlboro called Amorina, brought to us by the former owners of Il Giardinello in Toms River -- and it's absolutely worth checking out! The interior is all brand new, elegant, and aesthetically pleasing -- the kind of place that feels both upscale and welcoming the moment you walk in. Every detail has been thoughtfully done, and you can truly feel the love that goes into this restaurant. I started off with the Shrimp Amorina appetizer, which was so flavorful and perfectly cooked. The Pasta Fagioli was warm, cozy, and comforting -- exactly what you want on a cool fall evening. For my entrée, I was torn between a few options but ultimately chose the Grouper Oreganata special -- and I'm so glad I did! The grouper was tender and buttery, served alongside shrimp oreganata -- a delicious, light yet satisfying dish. I also sampled the Chicken Scarpariello, which was a generous portion and such a perfect cozy fall plate. Dessert was a true highlight -- a trio of sweetness featuring a crisp cannoli, a pistachio ricotta cake, and a fantastic homemade tiramisu. Everything was fresh, authentic, and made with care. Portions are generous, service is warm, and every dish feels crafted with love by Chef Joe. Since this is a brand-new spot, I highly recommend giving Amorina a try and supporting this local gem. Don't miss their Grand Opening Celebration on November 9th from 12-3 PM!

Excellent service and amazing food. Ambiance is perfect for a family dinner or a date night. We will be visiting again.

Seamless, attentive, patient, and someone with true hospitality in her bones. Every detail was thoughtful, from the gorgeous floral centerpieces (still looking beautiful in my kitchen) to the signage, the name tags and napkins finished with a sprig of rosemary, and the perfect pink ribbon. Rachel and the waitstaff matched her standard. Warm, kind, and always one step ahead of what guests needed. The food brought a wave of nostalgia for our family and absolutely lived up to every memory. Every course was raved about-the lamb chops were perfect-and the kitchen handled a range of dietary needs without missing a beat. The cocktails were mixed to perfection and our guests including the children had the most lovely day! Lots of love and laughter. Thank you Gargiulos for helping make a beautiful memory.

And it was our first time here so I can't talk about the regular menu but I can talk about the chef. The dinner we had was spectacular. It was authentic northwestern Italian cuisine specifically from the Alto adish region. There was a delicious trout and Speck appetizer. They were duck dumplings. And the most delicious goulash with a spectacular polenta. And the apple strudel for dessert was how it finished. Everything was spectacularly delicious. Rachel our server was helpful and friendly. And Teresa, one of the owners was so welcoming and so kind to us as well. We loved everything about this place and most definitely will be back

Unfortunately, everything else fell short. I ordered the mojarra, and it looked nothing like the photo on the menu. More importantly, the fish itself just wasn't very good. The shrimp were decent, but nothing special. The squid rings and mussels were surprisingly tiny, and the entire dish was heavily covered in a red sauce that overwhelmed the seafood rather than complemented it. Based on my experience, I'd recommend sticking with the tacos. They're worth ordering, but I wasn't impressed with the rest of the menu.

I've been wanting to come here for a while but was worried about language barriers. Hubs and I decided to come here for lunch. The place has plenty of seating and we were immediately seated after arriving. Hubs had the Tacos "mar y tierra"- it has calamari, shrimp, baby octopus, mussels, etc. He said it was tasty and better than the traditional taco. There are chorizo bits in it, though. He was on a Lent diet and he said that he should've asked. I had the Camarones a la Diabla - it's spicy shrimp and I chose rice as a side. This was spicy and delicious. On our next visit, daughter ordered the Mojarra a la Diabla and she liked it a lot. This was nice and spicy and rich. Hubs liked it a lot and ate most of it. LOL. We also ordered the Fried Combo #7 on our 2nd visit. We picked this because we saw that soft shell crab was part of the combo. We were a little disappointed at the size of the crab and were expecting it to be a little bigger but it was tasty. The fried shrimp is better than any of the fried shrimps we've had out here in the East coast. Breading was nicely flavored and the fries were well done without us asking for it. Hubs thought that the sauce was very tasty. We all shared a 32 oz Jamaica and liked it but it was very sweet. Daughter loved it. The seafood shop next door is part of them, so you can order anything from next door and they can cook it and bring it over. The menu is practically endless! We were very happy that there wasn't any language barrier. Will definitely return to try other items on the menu.

The menu is well-rounded and everything I've tried has been consistently good. Their pizzas are fresh with a nice crust and generous toppings. The calzones are excellent -- fluffy, flavorful, and loaded with cheese and your choice of fillings. They also have a great variety of hot and cold subs that are always satisfying, with fresh bread and quality ingredients. I particularly enjoy their Mediterranean options. The gyros are excellent -- tender, well-seasoned meat with crisp vegetables and a nice tzatziki sauce. The chicken shawarma is equally good, full of flavor and nicely balanced. What makes the place special is the atmosphere and the people. The owner, Sheebi Ragab, and his team are friendly and welcoming. Sheebi has become a friend over time, and you can tell he takes real pride in the quality of the food and service. It's a comfortable, no-frills spot where you feel at ease. If you haven't been yet, I highly recommend giving them a try. Whether you're in the mood for a great pizza, a loaded calzone, one of their solid subs, or a flavorful gyro, you'll leave happy. Good food, good service, and a welcoming vibe -- exactly what a local spot should be. Thank you, Sheebi, for the consistently good meals and for creating such a friendly place. -- Nick
