I would like to start by saying that I have come to this office for many years and Dr. Larson and his staff have been great. However, on my appointment today 11/29/25 I was greeted with hostility and disrespect by the front desk, then the person who brought me back, then the hygienist who was scheduled to clean my teeth and finally by Dr. Larson himself. I was forced to leave by him and he even layed hands on me. I am distressed and shocked by this especially since I have been a patient for a long time and Dr. Larson himself considers himself by his own words to be Christ Like. First time here, but I'm old and have had a lot of dental care thru my many years. As a result, I have seen both good and bad dental professionals. I can't say enough good about this team! This is a First class facility! They have friendly, intelligent, articulate and engaging staff. Dr Larsen is obviously very intelligent himself, and he is thorough. The dental assistant was so kind and patient in taking x-rays. And they had lots of great, first class equipment too. The hygienist and cleaning could not have been better! Everything ran on time, despite having so many patients in the building at that hour. I'm still blown away at how reasonable the prices are. Wow! I fired my last dentist because he kept trying to tell me I needed expensive work done that I suspected did not need to be done. Dr Larsen confirmed that suspicion. It feels like Dr. Larsen is speed-centric instead of patient-centric. I've had 3 cleanings and he's never provided a periodontal exam just a quick glance at my teeth. I prefer a dentist who will take a comprehensive approach to my health and keep a record over time. Each cleaning, I've had a different hygienist and little to no relationship building conversations. It feels like I'm just another fish in the sea when visiting. Having to tell them who I am and what I need every single time. Last year I regrettably received porcelain veneer caps on my front 8 teeth from Dr Larsen. I had just recently moved to Denver and didn't do my research. A very expensive procedure. Dr. Larsen didn't review with me how the teeth would look in my mouth, what shape or size he was ordering, until he had completely traumatized my mouth and I was hopped up on medicine. I now unfortunately have classic "Chiclet" veneers. They are bulky and thick, too short for my face/smile, not translucent, too square and all even in length. I would advise going to a dentist that specializes in cosmetic dentistry so you don't end up in a situation like mine. Through the veneer process, because of the speed or simply because it was so traumatic on my teeth and gums, I ended up needing a root canal. Dr Larsen provided this root canal at no cost which was very nice but makes me wonder if I went somewhere specialized would they have avoided killing this tooth? A mouth guard was included with the veneers but it didn't actually fit my mouth. It was much too bulky and large and changed the overall shape of my bite. I tried to sleep with it for about a month but realized it was negatively impacting my lower teeth and threw it out. Overall, if you're looking for a quick and easy cleaning this is the place to go. They will get you in and out in no time. If you need something cosmetic, comprehensive or desire a relationship and a Dr that spends intentional time making sure you're mouth is healthy, go somewhere else. read more

I went to this practice in August of 2021 for a regular check up. The dentist I saw that day did that, and then went on to try to sell me $1000 of dental work. He wanted to replace my molars with crowns because they were "flat". I have a tongue, I can feel they are not flat. They left me waiting with that thought for over 15 minutes, long enough for me to realize I was being misled, so I got up and walked out. I have seen two dentists since then, neither of which has said anything about my molars needing any work at all. Caveat emptor. This practice is on the long and growing list of dentists who will lie to you to make a buck. It is sad to see dentists undermining the credibility of their profession this way. read more

Long-time patient here. I love love loved them at first. I think part of the problem in recent years is that it appears Dr Larsen bought out the practice from Offerdahl. I assume there is some financial pressure on him that didn't used to be there. The result has been a steep uptick in salesmanship. Every time I go in there, which I hate doing under the best of circumstances, he's always trying to sell something. At his best, he is sort of smugly friendly but he just seems worried and stressed now. Add to that it's been a revolving door of staff for about the last 4 or 5 years, doctors and front office and techs. I never see the same people twice. Didn't used to be that way. The techs are a mixture of super sweet and too bossy. The worst one, dang I can't remember her name, but she'll shame you with a smile. Brunette, slim build, acts like she is a dentist. Then there is the problem of too many cooks. Going years and years back, almost every time I have some kind of treatment plan put in place, when I return to actually get the work done, if I see a different one of the doctors, he countermands the plan that the first dentist put into place. Make a plan with Doc A, return to get the work done on a day when only Doc B is working and Doc B says "yeah we're not going to do that." ^^ This coupled with the pressure tactics makes me no longer have any confidence at all in their diagnostics. read more

This was the most scary and horrible dental experience I have ever had. I was told I needed two major fillings only to go to two other dentists and I did not need any work done at all. I questioned the recommendation because I have never had a major filling before. The doctor was unhappy with my questions about the work needed and that made me even more suspicious. Sure enough, I went back to my old dentist and sought out a new one for two more opinions. Neither said I had any cavities, concerns, or work that needed to be done! How scary is that?!? We just got overcharged for cleaning of over $280 and we have insurance. We have been going to this practice for about 15 years and ever since Dr Offerdahl left, this place has gone way down hill. I called to inquire about the bill and the young lady's response was, " I only do what the computer tells me" (excellent service!) I explained that we have the same insurance that we always have had, and never been charged for a cleaning.....and she got upset because I was calling her out. I will NEVER go back to that practice and I feel a lot of the previous clientele feel the same way....since there was NO PATIENTS there was I was there. 5 years ago that place was packed every day and night. First the good: Dr. Hong is very capable and professional. He filled a cavity and started a crown for me yesterday. I understand that the dental techs at the practice must be trained on the job, but unfortunately the tech assigned to me still needs more training. A primary responsibility of the dental tech is to keep the tongue out of harm's way; because of her carelessness, my tongue got nicked pretty bad by the drill. Ouch! Of course I didn't discover the wound until the anesthetic wore off. Then, to add to my disquiet, the front desk attempted to overcharge me by $160 for a procedure that was not performed. They claim that the reason why is because of new systems they are using etc which doesn't make sense because you think that they would still keep a copy of everything. The office is state of the art and obviously designed to keep you comfortable. Free apples and tea while you wait; T.V.'s in every room; A super friendly staff that always seems to be happy! Financially, they are knowledge about insurance and copays. They inform you before anything is done and let you know exactly what you will pay out of pocket. I am a past customer here, and my daughter as well, on my old insurance. I'm on Medicare now, so I called a few days ago to see if they took my Medicare Advantage (even told the woman what company I was with.) She told me "Yes, we take Medicare. You should be good to go! (her exact words.) So, I make an appointment. Showed up, waited quite awhile; got taken back and x-rayed. The dentist came in, made a few (quite snarky!) comments about my teeth, said he'd work on them today. He leaves the room. In comes a woman, asking if I had dental coverage on my insurance. I tell her yes, I spoke to someone earlier this week. She tells me that they need to "run my coverage," it would take awhile--and, would I mind going out front to wait so she can see someone else in my room? I reluctantly agreed, went back out front. Waited some more. Finally a woman comes, bringing with her a $3600 quote for my work, and says, "We don't take HMO's." This sure isn't the South Kipling Dental I remember! Please have your front people know what they're talking about when taking appointments! And, ditch the snarky comments! Even if I could go back here now, I sure won't. read more

I went in for a basic routine cleaning and I was surprised with a high bill and payment due at the time of my appointment. When I questioned them about the charge, I was told that my insurance does not cover x-rays (which I thought was odd - but took their word for it and proceeded with the appointment). I followed up with my Insurance after and was informed that x-rays are covered, but the x-ray that was performed was an excessive x-ray. SKDC was fully aware, but failed to discuss that with me. If they would have been honest with me, I would have 1) Opted for the x-ray that was covered by insurance or 2) scheduled my appointment with my original Dentist. The only reason I scheduled with SKDC was for convenience. They have appointments outside of normal business hours and they are close to home. I won't be back. read more

They do not discuss the fees prior to taking any x-rays or doing any procedures and they charge you far more than what your insurance provider pays even if they pay 100% of the allowable customary fees. Wow! This is like the creme dela creme of dental offices! At least compared to the ones I've been in recently. The office is amazing when you walk in. There's a Keurig machine for coffee...yummmmmy!! They have a little fridge with water and juice, complimentary! There's one of those in the wall type of electric fireplaces and just an overall comfy atmosphere. I brought my daughter here on Saturday for a consultation appointment. It's amazing how far they've come! The digital technology is amazing! It was so neat to be able to see the x-rays of her teeth right on the screen in front of us as they were taking them! Sadly we found out my daughter (16 yo) had 3 cavities. She had two very small ones and one that was just a little bigger. These were her first real cavities. She had a super tiny one a couple years ago that didn't require any type of anesthetic, but with this bigger one we decided it was best to get her numb. She cried at the thought of getting a needle in her mouth! They offered to put her on the laughing gas, which helped immensely! Wish I was offered that for all the work I've had done! While the doctor worked on her mouth she and I both watched Shark Tale! They have a monitor flat on the ceiling for the patient lying down and one that hangs down from the ceiling that sits in front of you when you're seated upright. I thought that was really neat and it helps the patient take their mind off what's going on in their mouth! They have a list of about 100 movies to choose from! It was a stressful situation that was turned into a pleasant one by the atmosphere and the people there. Dr Larsen was extremely nice and professional as was his staff. I am so thankful that I found this dental office, especially since they are open on a Saturday which is hard to find a good office open on a Saturday. I was told I had to wait till they checked with my insurance, and then they would call. The never called. (always have VM on). Said the called, but that was not true. I have been going to this dentist clinic for three years, and although I recently moved to Thornton, I will continue to drive to Littleton just to use this dental clinic because I love the staff! I have had both Dr. K and Dr. Larsen - they are both great! The office is warm and comfortable - Free tea, juice, apples, and coffee are in the waiting area. They also have a TV at each dental chair and let you pick a movie to watch - this is nice when you are there for a lengthy procedure. They have on call hours for emergencies, late evening appointments during the weekday, and are open Saturdays. Overall, they have great team who I know I can trust.
