    Lamb on a Skewer

First time visit to celebrate a friend's birthday. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The food was delicious and the ambiance and service was amazing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Kiera, the host, was friendly and efficient. We had several dishes: Taste of Spread, Chicken Lemonata, Lamb on a Skewer. Every was fresh and flavorful and the presentation was reminiscent of the photos on the website...everything! [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is patio dining and plenty of parking.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Definitely going back to dine again.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Great atmosphere, friendly staff and amazing food![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Stopped by while in Charlotte area on business for a lunch meeting. Unassuming location with plenty on parking and easy access. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Beautiful decor down to the plates.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Lots of menu options. We ordered pitas and salmon salad but wanted to order everything on the menu. Received our food quickly, presentation was on point and flavors were yummy. We already plan to return next time in town. Highly recommended!

I've been here only once before and it was definitely a five-star meal and experience. I went again recently and can't explain why, but the flavor of everything we ordered was not the same quality. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The service was very kind and the ambiance is always nice and clean, no issues there and actually have a pleasant experience there![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered a salmon salad in this picture, and the sandwiches tasted more dry than it should be. I also ordered the saganaki, Aunt also was left wanting a little bit more flavor.

I've been meaning to check out this place for while now, but for one reason or another, unable to...'til now. Surprisingly, the place looked well lived in (thought it was relatively new?), the place had a very warm and inviting vibe...and I even liked their overhead piano music. Their menu featured an unusual mix of Italian and Greek specialities. For me, at least, the appetizers were especially appealing. We ended up ordering 2 appetizers...Zucchini + Eggplant Chips and Calamari Fritti...and both were really good. Yet, not sure why they had to ruin the presentation by adding a layer of paper sheet to both of these appetizer dishes. Cheapened the look...at least to me! BTW, I really wanted to try their "Taste of Spreads" as well...but that was getting a tad too greedy. Maybe next time? For the entrees, I ordered the Capellini...and my husband got the Garganelli. Surprisingly, the portions were way larger than what I anticipated...but the flavor was a bit underwhelming. My Capellini was a tad better...which wasn't surprising, given its lofty price points. We liked...but didn't love our entrees. From what we ordered, we thought the appetizers were stronger than the entrees. Lastly, I enjoyed their Passion Fruit Mojito mocktail...very sweet and refreshing. Service was VERY attentive...exceedingly so! Our waitress was fine, but there were 2 busboys (male staff, that is) standing nearby, staring at the diners the whole time (did NOT like this!). Maybe it's just me and my pet peeve, but I've never been a fan of the waitstaff standing by too close and/or staring while patrons are trying to eat or have private conversations. I just find it rude and intrusive. Despite some annoying points, I really liked their eclectic menu...and thought it was a good, solid restaurant.

    SILQUE PIE

The drinks (SILQUE PIE &THE FOSTER) were de-DAMN-licious. As well as the Taste Of Spreads and Angry Shrimp. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere was great for a business date[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], and hospitality was on point

I cannot say enough great things about our girls' night dinner at Illios Noche! The ambiance is great - casual and comfortable yet beautiful inside. Our waitress, Jodi (or Yodi maybe?) absolutely made our experience - she was so friendly, attentive and helpful with providing suggestions for food and wine. We started with the eggplant & zucchini chips, and Y'ALL, these are something I didn't know I needed in my life. Think of a super thin, fresher version of fried pickles but less acidic and dipped in the most flavorful tzatziki sauce. Also the portion was super generous and great for splitting. They were perfection. And they brought everything out so quickly and frequently came by to fill up our waters - we were all very impressed by the service! Entree-wise, my friends got the pasta dish with chicken (I tried it and was blown away - that pasta definitely looked and tasted homemade) and the chicken caprese panini (I didn't try it but it looked awesome), and I went with the lamb souvlaki skewers with a side of Parmesan risotto (the lamb was incredibly juicy and flavorful + it came with warm pita and more delicious tzatziki, and the risotto was delicious, if not maybe just a tad too rich/creamy to eat a lot of). I already can't wait to go back and try more of their Greek and Italian specialty dishes. This place is a dark horse and a winner in my book!

AVOID THIS LOCATION!…read more My family that resides in Clt started coming to this location because of the proximity to their house, but after this past visit on June 20th, none of us will ever be back again after the absolute awful service! And, as anyone knows, you can have amazing food, but if the people and service are terrible that can ruin any dining experience! We were sat in an almost empty restaurant just after 8pm; the waiter came to take our order and was very engaging initially. We were a party of 6, so we were going to order 4 diff apps prior to the mixed grill which is what we always get. We ordered the hummus, falafel (2 orders because only 6 come per order), baba ganoush, and beef sambousa. We were told they were "out" of the baba ganoush & sambousas cuz they would have to make them and it would take like an hr...this sounded odd cuz umm, don't you make all your food to order?? This immediately put both my stepmom (who is Moroccan) and myself off and we were actually going to leave, but we were introducing my brother's GF to this ethnic food style & him + my dad convinced us to stay, so we just added salad and lentil bean soups). We ordered drinks (the GF & I were the only ones that didn't order sodas; she ordered a pot of Karak tea for her + I to share & I ordered a sparkling water). After 10mins no drinks in sight we were like "ummm?" then at just over 15mins they brought us the apps but no drinks?!? The drinks came separately a few mins later...all except the tea. For $3 on the menu I expected a bottled sparkling water, instead I got flat water from the soda fountain. I told the waiter this and he said he'd try again and if it wasn't "sparkling" then what did I want to drink instead...I said just a filtered water w/lemon. We were missing an order of falafel (were told they only had the one order and would have to wait for the 2nd, so we just canceled it; again whyTF did they not have anything on the menu at 8pm on a Sat!?) and they only brought one basket of pita for the hummus; we asked for a 2nd basket. The lentil soup (my stepmom makes better at home) + salads were mid at best. 20mins later they bring the main course, but we still had not gotten the pot of tea we ordered nor did the guy ever come back w/my "sparkling" or plain water...we'd had enough of this horrible service & I went in search of someone (the place again was empty & I could not find our waiter or anyone anywhere). Finally I see this lady who had attitude (I have a sneaking suspicion she pretended not to understand english when convenient) when I asked WTAF was up w/my water & the tea! Again, another 10mins w/neither showing up at the table...we were also still waiting for the 2nd basket of pita, but it was moot as we'd already begun to eat the main dish...my stepmom went to the lady & spoke to her in arabic and was like "where is her water and where is her tea!?" the lady said she was sorry she didn't know we didn't get them (BS btw) that's when my stepmom asked to speak to the mgr. We also wanted to order Knfa for dessert, so my stepmom told the lady we were ordering 3 now since they were taking forever to get anything to us, and if they didn't bring them when we were done eating, we would not be paying for them. THAT part seemed to get through at least! Halfway (almost an hr at this point) through the meal they finally come w/my water and the pot of Karak tea. At this point we hadn't seen the male waiter who took our order initially; he shows up & is acting huffy (the audacity tbh!) & tries telling me he never said he'd bring a 2nd sparkling or reg water & when both me and my stepmom (cuz she was sitting next to me & heard the exchange called him out) he got all defensive & said "well I guess I misunderstood" so then we are like "why an hr for the tea?" "Wellll, that's how long it takes to make!" I called BS & told him if that was the case he should have told us that expectation when we initially ordered! He then goes "Well I had to go to storage to find it cuz we were out!" K, howTF is that OUR problem!? Just tell us that so we know what to expect!? No apology was made and we were not credited for the tea nor the $3 sparkling water which I never received. Also, received the Knfa (shockingly, right after the meal) but it was served w/o the pistachios it was supposed to come with. When asked for them, we were told they were "out"...because of course they were! Absolutely HORRIBLE staff and service here; the food was good tho, but when u have an experience like that it still leaves a bad taste!

To start, The service was quick and the workers were very kind. I ordered the hummus and pita bread which comes served warm and the hummus is creamy and flavorful with a side of spicy green pepper and mayo which all complimented each other very well. I ordered the half chicken with yellow rice and while the flavor was unique and the rice was wonderful, the chicken was admittedly dry, which was a let down. The lentil soup on the side was creamy and had great flavor. On the flip side, my dad ordered the Greek salad with chicken kebab on top and that chicken was phenomenal with a great char and was super moist- I'll be sure to order this if I want chicken from here again. The salad was a very generous portion and came with loads of chicken, pickles, tomato, feta, olives, and the dressing was simple but paired perfectly- it was basically lemon juice and herbs. I also ordered the coconut-like cake (?) that they had on a side counter by the register where you can take as many slices as you want but I just took a pre portioned serving of 4 pieces. It was a mildly crumbly cake but it was incredibly moist with what I presume is a sweet syrup and coconut flakes on top. It was a great way to finish the meal. Overall, great food and would love to come back and try more menu items
