    Lamb Shish Kebab

I can't believe my colleague and I were the only ones in the restaurant for lunch today. People are seriously missing out on this fantastic Mediterranean restaurant. Nicely decorated on the inside, we were (quite obviously) seated quickly. They have a nice variety to choose from and smaller portions for lunch. I ordered hummus and lamb shish kabob and all was absolutely delicious. If you do go here, please save room for dessert. I ordered the pistachio baklava and it was not only the best baklava I've ever had but also the best dessert I've had in a long, long time.

Truva is one of the best Turkish restaurants I've tried, and I have tried many! It's newly opened and tucked away in an unassuming business area, but close to lots of great shopping like Reclectic, which is why I was in the area! I'm so glad I decided to check it out. Very spacious and pleasant seating, with very kind and attentive service that can help make recommendations on the best things to order. We got the seasonal salad (pickled cabbage, olives, carrots, etc) and the Adana kebab (lamb and beef seasoned meatball with rice). Everything was super fresh and flavorful. We also ordered the manti (beef dumplings in yogurt sauce). And for dessert, we learned that they make their own baklava and kunefe in house. We ordered both and OMG, both so so good. I'm not local to Charlotte, but I know that when I'm back I'll be making a special stop to Truva

    Lamb kabob dish over pitas

The food was very good Madena was our server and provided great service. We ordered a lamb kabob dish over pitas and a chicken dish that was the first thing on the dinner menus. Then we had the most amazing pistachio baklava with homemade Turkish ice cream! The Turkish tea brought me back to Turkey. I enjoyed every bite and would suggest you try this place it will not disappoint. They made the ice cream with Turkish ingredients.

    Spicy Beyti Kebab

4.5/5 Came in close to closing for takeout, and got the spicy beyti kebab, doner kebab, and pistachio baklava. Portions were definitely bigger for the doner kebab than the spicy beyti, but the meat on both were flavorful and tender. Pistachio baklava wasn't our favorite - it was more dough-y than we'd prefer. Price is definitely on the expensive side and because we got takeout, it might have been more worth it to eat at the restaurant. Regardless, we loved the food and would come back!

Epic Turkish breakfast. Friendly service, tasty bread options and perfect chai. Definitely going back.

Grilled chicken thighs with double rice (you'll want extra rice, trust me, it's amazing)

Absolutely amazing food! The service was wonderful, the good was delicious, and the inside was beautifully decorated. 10/10 would recommend and plan to go often!

A Turkish gem in Gastonia that turned a first date into something memorable…read more I'll start with the room. Constantine's pulls off that rare balance -- relaxed but elevated. Warm lighting, Turkish textiles, the kind of space that lets you exhale the second you sit down. We stayed nearly until closing and never once felt rushed. Now the food. I came hungry and curious, and the kitchen delivered. Imam Bayildi (appetizer) -- This is the dish that tells you whether a Turkish kitchen knows what it's doing, and theirs does. Eggplant braised until silky, sweet with onion and tomato, finished in good olive oil. No bitterness, no greasiness -- just that slow-cooked depth where you can taste the patience. I could've made this a main and walked out happy. Karniyarik (my main) -- The heartier cousin of the Imam Bayildi: eggplant stuffed with seasoned ground meat, tomato, and peppers. Rich, savory, comforting. The meat was well-spiced without drowning out the vegetable, and the whole thing held together beautifully. This is honest, soulful cooking. Vegetables in Casserole (her plate) -- Fresh, clean, well-seasoned. You could taste that the vegetables were cooked with intention, not just thrown together. A vegetarian dish that actually respects the vegetables. The bread service -- Two rounds of hot flatbread with their signature dipping sauce, and yes, we asked for the second round. Pillowy, fresh, clearly made in-house. The sauce had real character. This alone tells you they care about the details. Turkish black tea -- The proper way to end a Turkish meal. Strong, aromatic, served the traditional way. A perfect close. Service was attentive without hovering -- they let us have our evening. Health score is spotless, portions are generous, and everything tasted fresh and made-to-order. If you're in Gaston County and want authentic Turkish food done with care -- kebabs, mezes, eggplant dishes that taste like somebody's grandmother is back in that kitchen -- this is the spot. Whether it's a family dinner or a date night, Constantine's brings the flavor and the atmosphere. We'll absolutely be back. -- Sylvester A.

They have a huge menu with plenty of options, and everything we tried tasted great. It's primarily a restaurant, but you can also buy packed food items which is a nice bonus. We thoroughly enjoyed the food here. They served generous portions of babaganoush and hummus -- both were delicious. They also gave us complimentary lentil soup, and it was surprisingly good. For entrees, we ordered the lamb shank, which was juicy, tender, and absolutely amazing. The adana kabab was top notch with incredible flavor. The chicken shawarma and chicken kabab could have been a bit more tender, but still enjoyable overall. They also have a large selection of desserts on the menu, so definitely save some room if you can. Overall, we had a great experience at La Shish Kabob -- warm hospitality, big portions, and flavorful food. Would definitely go back!

I first experienced this stuffed turkey leg trend in Dallas a couple of years ago as part of their pop-up. The line we sat in to get turkey legs that morning was more than 2 miles long and took over an hour and a half to get through. So I was pretty stoked when I found out that there was a location here in Charlotte. We visited on a Saturday afternoon around 5 PM And initially passed the location and had to U-turn and go back. Just make sure you keep an eye out for the building as I initially thought it was an auto repair shop, but that is actually a business that shares the same parking lot. When we first pulled up, there was a bit of commotion as there seemed to be a person having a bit of a mental health episode, walking around erratically outside. However, the owner was actually sitting outside and immediately greeted us when we pulled up and welcomed us in. This is a very small location and sparsely decorated on the outside, but did have much better aesthetics in the interior. The menu is very straightforward with several options, including the turkey legs, turkey wings, salmon and chicken entrées. Both owners were very friendly and helpful as I made my decision on what to order and the food was ready in about 10 minutes. The legs are a little on the pricey side at $25 a pop but the portion size is definitely enough for two people. And the quality of the food is outstanding! Well seasoned, super tender, and super flavorful. I would describe this as a perfect blend between Texas soul food and Louisiana Creole. This is the kind of business I like to support because they are clearly focused on delivering great food and they are doing it right in the middle of the community. Go support them!
