Can't wait for our next trip! Evil Horse in Crete was a great place to start. Beers and burritos were real good. Malt Brothers in St. John had great beers and awesome pulled pork sandwiches. But especially liked the pint of Bacon!!! Windmill brewery in Dyer was next as things got serious. Had a strong cafe brew. One Trick Pony in Lansing even put up with us playing their drums. Went on a tour last Saturday February 2017. It was an interesting concept and nice to visit places we would have not known about otherwise. The bus driver was knowledgeable about the breweries and even got us a tour of the last one went went to. The first moment I entered the bus there was a strong odor of engine exhaust in the bus. I thought maybe it was because the bus was sitting still. The driver didn't say anything and we left for the first brewery. After driving it was obvious there was something wrong with the bus. The odor got stronger while driving. We had dinner and some beers at the first location and then got back in the bus. At this point we expressed our worries about what the smell is. The driver apologized about the smell but said there was nothing she could do. Several of the 14 people in our group were starting to feel affects of exhaust poisoning. I started to have a horrible headache. It really put a damper on what was supposed to be a wonderful fun trip. By the end of the night we were all glad to be done and not have to get back in the bus. Again the driver said sorry about the smell but there was nothing she could do. She could have given us a discount on the trip. She could have alerted us to the problem before we got there and given us the option to cancel the trip. She could have gotten the bus fixed before our trip. I suffered headaches since Saturday night and finally on Tuesday I feel a little better. I have a huge issue with any company that will put profit above customer comfort and potential dangerous safety issues. Beware if you use this company for a tour. The bus had Indiana plate PX559. I am very disappointed that our celebration was instead like a trip in a gas chamber. Answers to the owner: "3/1/2017 Not sure why Luke thinks he is the spokesman for his group when Michele in his group sent us the message below: " What more right does Michele have then me?? Was I not also on your bus? I was not the only person that had an issue with this as several other people were in the back of the bus with scarves and shirts over their faces to try and breath. Of course you don't know this because you were in the front. So maybe Michele did have a good time but I bet if you asked her she didn't appreciate that there was what smelled like exhaust fumes in the bus the whole time we were in it. "As I tried to explain the problem occurred during the tour you did not allow me to finished what I have to say rather you immediately said "you will write a long letter and complain"...you complained on the first stop and had the choice not to continue an I would have been glad to drop you off and issue a refund. As I vividly remember the rest of the night of the tour music was playing and lots of laughter and dancing was going on. " We made the best of what we had. If you were the customer would you have been ok riding in a bus with exhaust fumes inside the passenger compartment? and I said "I plan to write a strongly worded letter". I did what I said I would. You never said to us all sorry but there is something wrong with the bus and if you want we could get off and you would issue a refund. "By the way Luke, the bus was taken to the shop on Monday morning, the soonest it could be as your tour was on a Saturday. The issue has been taken care of IBB does not and never will put passenger safety over profits! IBB strongly believes in social responsibility! " This sounds good but in reality you did put profits over safety. What was repaired on the bus? Was it indeed an exhaust leak? Do you feel that it was safe for your passengers to be breathing in those fumes on our trip? If you really believe in responsibility then why did you allow us all onto this bus????? Would it not have been safer to apologize to us and cancel our tour in the name of safety?? read more

Wish I could give this a ZERO! Purchased their Groupon on May 19th. Booked a bus trip for 4 online on May 27th for Aug 7th. Sitters booked and for 2 months looking forward to a nice Sunday of adult time before Football and School starts. Followed all the stipulations they had in the Fine Print on the Groupon, and they wait until 2 days before to cancel. Received a phone call today that we needed to find more people to fill the bus or they were cancelling. It wasn't enough to run a bus of 4. She was kind enough to offer booking us on Saturday night, but 2 of our 4 are out of town and that wouldn't work. Asked her if we were losing what we already paid, her response was that she "Hoped it would show in the system that we cancelled (we didn't, you cancelled us) and our credit hopefully would show." As a business owner, how do you "Hope" it shows up that I paid you? Anyone can book online with as small of a party as 1, maybe they should re-think allowing you to book online? Certainly have lost my business, sorry my party of 4 wasn't important enough for you to run your bus and pay someone to drive. read more

I reserved the bus for my wife's 40th birthday. It was an awesome experience! Raquel was great to work with. All the stops were fun and Raquel (who was also our driver) was prompt and really made the experience better with her suggestions of the breweries. We had a group of 11 people and everyone had a great time. Illiana Brew Bus is seriously great for parties and special occasions (or just to do with friends). And if you're not a beer drinker, don't fret. Many of the stops offer specialty cocktails and unique drinks. Excellent job IBB! read more

Excellent private tours from Illiana Brew Bus. Our driver, Anthony was great. Very luxurious riding accommodations (comparable to a party bus or limo). The driver even offered to let us play our own music. Each of the breweries had something special to offer. Planning process was very straightforward, and they do an excellent job accommodating you in every way possible to make the experience a great one. It was an awesome way to spend a Saturday night with coworkers and friends. I think I speak for everyone in our group when I say it was a night to remember. This is a great time for groups of 16 or less. You pick the locations, driver is friendly and informative and they know all the brewmasters. Highly recommend for all! Contrary to other post, you can buy beer at one of your stops and you can drink it on the bus. Just can't bring on your own from home. Our second one...will definitely do this again! read more

This is our second time using these people for a tour. The first was a 30th birthday and the second was a bachelor party. Both times they were great. They let you know how much longer you have and they stay out of the way of your personal fun. Some people prefer more direction and guidance but I didn't have a problem. The only critique I would have is just announcing which stop was next but then again, who wants to try and deal with drunk people with no one listening? I would definitely recommend this company if you're looking for someone to chauffeur you around safely while listening to your own music and drinking with friends! read more

Interestingly enough after looking at other reviews we were not allowed to drink on the bus or bring any alcohol on. We felt rushed and were constantly reminded of our time limits at bars. Then we were told that we could stay at the last bar till 11pm but instead made to leave earlier. For the same amount we could of just got a regular party bus without the drama. This was an amazing day out for our friend's Bachelorette Party. We are all over 30 and wanted something a little more chill, but still wanted to tie one on. Raquel picked us up at 9am, and so our glorious day began. The bus is incredible. When booking a beer bus we envisioned this crotchety old bus with stains all over it and separated seats (like a school bus), but what showed up was like the Taj Mahal in comparison. The bus is very nice inside and felt like an over-sized party limo. We booked the private Wine/Brewery tour and started on the wine trail. Raquel was the coolest. She took tons of pictures for us and was really accommodating. All of the venues chosen had their own character and were great choices. Dablon is beautiful, if you are picking wineries... go there. Transient Artisan had the best beer, definitely don't pass that one up. Thank you Illiana Brew Bus for facilitating such an outstanding day!
