This is a gem of a place, it's a walkable area in Jefferson Park. Everyone was really kind and welcoming. I appreciate the suggestion on color. The time my tech spent on my nails shows in the quality of the finished product.

Illinois Nails is the best nail salon. I used to live in the loop and I never liked any nail salons over there since they were always so busy and always rushed me. This place is totally different. They pay attention to what I like and listen to me. Their customer service is excellent and the place is clean. All workers wear face mask and gloves, which is really nice. There are dividers between customers and staff at the manicure stations. You're seated apart at the pedicure stations. I got a no chip manicure and she did an excellent job. I am planning to go again for both manicure and pedicure. I felt so relaxed since there was only me and another lady there. The price is reasonable and worth it for the service. You can call and book an appointment ahead of time. Highly recommended!

I love this nail salon; they don't rush you and the ladies value their craft and clients. You can book them in advance or walk-in, but they will dedicate the time to properly give you the beautiful nails that is worth the time and money you see investing. I have silk wraps on my finger nails; it's flexible so it is resilient--highly recommended!!!

This was my first time getting my nails done here, and I am absolutely in love! The lady who did my nails, Amy, was so polite and patient with me! I had a fill in and a gel manicure. My nails were previously done at one of those chain nail places, and I was so unhappy with them. Amy made sure to file out any ugly lumps, and even perfected some of the crooked ones. I will definitely be going to this salon again!

I got acrylics for hoco and they are so cute. The staff were very nice and it was an overall very enjoyable experience. Highly recommend you give them a try

I found this nail salon on yelp trying to find a place near my mom's house to take her for her birthday. I must say Amy is absolutely amazing. I'm very picky when it comes to my nails. I got the ombre powder dip. Best I've ever got! I love them! My mom loved how her nails came out as well. No the place isn't fancy but they are friendly, fair priced and do an amazing job. I might just travel to the city to come here!

Cute little salon I suggest you make an appointment before you go in friendly staff and they did a great job will define going back

All the nice amenities are gone. Rosie kept her salon clean, fresh and always happy. Rose ran a very nice salon, greeted customers and made sure you were happy with the services. Always a nice neighborhood vibe. The nail polish used for my mani was either old or put on too thick that it never really dried and hours later I had gashes. Polish was left on the skin/cuticles but since it's so dark in there and I had a light color I didn't notice until I was outside. Either the tech forgot the hand lotion or just wasn't in the mood to complete the services. So disappointing.

Most of these ratings are for the previous owner. New owner now and it shows!…read moreI have been here in the past and came for a deluxe pedicure. I called ahead and they said I could come in. When I arrived the place was empty. The owner?/manager? Was curled up in a pedicure chair and covered with blanket. I was glad because now they do dips there. After the service I got I would not return. She did nothing t get up out of chair when I came in. I understand it was empty so the other 2 were on their phones. She told the gentleman to do my pedi. He got the foot bath ready for me. I had trouble communicating with him. He spoke little to no English. He kept talking to the manager during the whole service as though he did not know what he is doing. Needless she never got up to help or check what he was doing. While I was there another gal came in for a mani and a pedi by the third employee. She was finished with both before I was close to leaving. There was 1 coat of color put on my toes. At the time I doubted myself so I did not mention it. He was putting the polish on. He still had not done the mud mask for my feet. I asked the manager? What about the mud mask. She said that he would still do it. I thought how could he do it over the fresh polish. He used some CLEAR solution on my legs. Not mud and not mudlike. He wrapped my legs in a plastic wrap. Then aimed "steam machines" toward my legs and walked away and sat down. Did not say how long it was going to take. After 10-15 minutes I moved them off. It was not comfortable. The "manager" saw and called him over. He removed the wrap and looked at my toes. I was not sure if the polish made it to the edges. He said something to the manager and she came over. While she was he once again painted the edges of 4 nails. She took her finger to test if they were dry and smudged the polish. The color did stay but smudged. She painted over the 4 toes. He then attempted to put my flip flops on me in an odd way. Did not have success so I did it myself. She then said I could go when I wanted. I was not going to stay another 10-15 minutes to dry again. There was no drying table. I did tip him usually. I did not feel it was his fault. I think he was surprised. Also near the bathroom there is a sink to wash your hands. Above the sink is a large hole in the wall. You can see into the restroom! There was a picture or something against the wall from outside the restroom. It still left a nice size hole you could look into and still see the toilet. The highlight of the pedicure... online it said it takes 45 minutes. I was there 2 hours without staying to have my nails dry! I wish Rose had not left.

I showed a reference photo of the exact design, color, and nail shape I wanted, but the final result looked very different from what I requested. The shape was uneven, the color did not match the reference, and the design details were not executed well. I understand that inspiration photos may not always turn out exactly the same, but this set missed the mark in several ways. Another part of the appointment that made the experience uncomfortable was the overall conversation during the service. The technician spent much of the time talking about very sad and angry situations happening in her personal life. While I understand that everyone has difficult moments, a nail appointment is usually a place people go to relax and de-stress. Listening to a lot of negative personal issues throughout the service made the atmosphere feel heavy rather than relaxing. Between the disappointing nail execution and the overall environment, I left feeling very unhappy with the experience. I hope Level Nail Bar takes feedback seriously and focuses on both the quality of the work and creating a more positive, relaxing experience for clients.

Here's an updated…read more PLEASE BELIEVE THE REVIEWS. I decided to give this place a chance anyway, and I seriously regret it because they completely messed up my nails. First, I called to make an appointment for three people. They asked what kind of nails we wanted and told me to send our nail inspiration pictures so they could decide which nail tech would be the best fit. I sent everything, but they never texted me back. When I arrived, they sat me with a lady named Vivian (or something similar). She immediately pulled out Gel-X nail tips. I told her, "No, I want acrylic nails." She then took out polygel instead, and I told her again that I wanted acrylic because I'm paying for the service I asked for. She kept insisting that acrylic was harmful for my nails and convinced me to get polygel instead. I also had an injured fingernail and specifically asked her to leave that finger alone. She ignored my request and put polygel on it anyway. While shaping my nails, she kept hurting that finger because the nails were extremely thick. She even admitted she wouldn't charge me for that finger because of it. Then she started filing with the drill and repeatedly burned my nails because she wasn't lifting the drill properly. The nails ended up looking bulky and way thicker than I wanted. The rhinestones looked terrible--they were just randomly placed on my nails with no attention to detail. To make it worse, she got nail polish and glue all over my hands and never bothered to clean it up. When it was time to pay, my total came to $115. My nails weren't even long, and I was shocked to find out I was being charged extra for polygel--even though I had originally asked for acrylic and only got polygel because she talked me into it. No one explained there would be an extra charge. To make matters even worse, the nail tips started coming off shortly after I got them done. For the amount I paid, I expected them to last, but they didn't. They began lifting and popping off way too soon, which made the quality even more disappointing. The whole experience was frustrating from start to finish. My friend's nails were almost identical to mine, yet I was charged so much more. Before I left, the nail tech started talking to the owner and seemed upset with me. They ended up not charging me for the rhinestones, but that honestly didn't make a difference considering how poorly the service was. I would not recommend this salon. They didn't listen to what I asked for, ignored my concerns about my injured nail, hurt me during the service, left my nails looking thick and messy, and charged me for something I never wanted in the first place. On top of that, the nails didn't even last, and the tips started coming off soon after. Definitely not worth $115. THIS PLACE IS ALL LOOKS IF YALL WANT CUTE NAILS LIKE THE INSPO JUST DONT
