Went back there after my hairdresser is no longer available . Had my hair done by this hairdresser in the past a couple of times without any incident. The the last two times were very peculiar. As for the first event I was charged extra because the staff had an apparent communication problem and until I came back and asked if tip was included I was told that they mistakenly overcharged. At that time the correction was made and I tipped the employee directly. At my next visit is was a total different experience. While getting my hair done my hairdresser and the employee next to her were talking about me in a derogatory fashion the entire time in Spanish about my hair and treatments that I have done but in such a rude manner that I left quite upset. Base broke my hair. Left bleed marks all over. Now that I can get it done again since I had to wait because they bleached my hair 3 times and still couldn't get it right it's gonna cost me $500 to fix this mess. I paid $200 for this horrible color and now i have to pay $500 to fix it. Do not go here if you're a blonde, there's much better who actually care about your hair and your happiness as well as your wallet. read more

Jasmine was recommended by a friend of a friend, and my goodness, she is a sorceress and an angel straight from heaven! I am 55 years old and have lived in Jupiter for more than 20 years and over that time I have gone to many local places to get my haircut and I finally found my hairstylist and don't have to look any further. Her name is Ruby and for my first viisit I went for a Keratin treatment and Ruby as a true professional and it was clear she knew a lot about hair. I walked out and my hair was perfectly straight, no frizz, and felt the softest and healthiest it ever felt. Next visit I went for a haircut and I got there and Ruby asked me how I want to get it cut and I said cut it the way you think it would look best. Well I left the salon and literally 10 minutes later I met a woman while waiting on checkout line at Publix. She looked at me and said my hair looked great and asked where I got it cut, and I said it is called Illusions and that I just left the salon and it is only a couple of blocks away. The next thing I know she asks me out to dinner date. That was a 1st ever for me. So all I can say is Thank You Ruby! I highly recommend you go to her once and I am sure you will be very impressed. Can't thank Jessica and Illusions enough for helping me out the day before Thanksgiving. I have fibromyalgia and was soaking my scalp with epson salt and literally matted my hair. I needed a trim for an event coming up and since I'm out of town I decided to walk in and check out. The reviews on YELP were good. They were very friendly and could see me shortly. I asked for someone with experience since I've had bad cuts and layering before. Jesse came to my needs. She had knowledge and knew what I wanted. I would not recommend this salon to anyone. I paid $150 (with a "discount") for a keratin treatment and it was terrible. I walked out with more curls than I came in with. The stylist told me the Keratin was more for frizz than curls. Which could be true, however, having enough experience with the treatment...I know it wasn't about the keratin. It was about the lack of knowledge and professionalism from this stylist because, when done properly, my hair is absolutely curl free after a keratin. I rushed home to finish the job my self. My hair was curly, puffy, and no other stylist would EVER let me walk out of a salon looking like that. The curls in the bottom were covered up with the top because when she showed me my hair at the end, I hadn't realized it was so curly underneath. I've had Keratin treatments done several times ranging from $125-300. They've all done a great job. Changes Hair Studio in WPB did a fabulous job for $125. They are changing up their salon which is why they stopped doing the keratin for a while and so I had to find a new place. I was so bothered that this stylist/salon did such a poor job. I took pictures of my hair and sent it to the email on the website, attention to the owner. I was very polite but was honest in an email expressing my dissatisfaction. The stylists should be much more educated on what they are charging to do. 5 days later, no reply which is pretty disappointing. I did not ask for a refund, nor did I want them to do my hair again. (I would not trust them to.) I simply wanted to make the owner aware that as a customer, I was not satisfied one bit. I would've expected the courtesy of a reply. My hope was only that she could fix the problem so that no other customers go through what I went through. In essence, helping her business. Because of this, I give this salon one star and would not recommend AT ALL!! read more

So i called Illusions Salon this morning and i was able to be fit in right away, which was wonderful. I talked to Jasmine the owner what i had done to my hair and the damage from striping and bleaching my hair my self. She explained to me to come down so she could get a better look. AND I AM SO GLAD I DID!!! I just moved here from New York City I know no body and After a long time and debating where to go and reading some online reviews I decided to go to Illusions salon. After 2 years almost without cutting my hair I asked Jasmine work her magic. AND BOY SHE DID! let me tell you all she knowsnwhats she is doing! She was so warm, kind and really a good hearted person. She is willing to do anything for her customers she was reassuring and took her time with me. She was absolutely 100% attentive asking every question I would expect a stylist to ask. When entering the salon my hair looked a total mess, I was sick and tired of my burnt fried hair job i did my self looking all dull, dry and lifeless. I showed Jasmine a photograph of what I wanted and she did exactly that and it turned out perfect. Jasmine even turned it up a notch and tought me ways to do my hair at home to keep up with my uncontrollable frizz. The salon is very chic and hip with top of the line products to buy and even some hair brushes, clip in bangs and jewerly. I was offered Coffee, or water and they do specials. And I took Jasmine up on her special offer for karatin. I have never had my hair so straight before. Illusions uses the top of the line karatin treatment because I have had it done before where I could not take the smell of the chemical and I could not believe it I had not reactions because the products were not cheap. If your looking for the best karatin straightening they do it right here. Its really worth it. I explain how damaged my hair was from bleach and Jasmine explained everything that was an option and showed me color charts to make sure it was exact to my photo i showed her on my phone. Everyone else is so professional and so sweet. so all and all I am 1000,000 % satisfied with my roots touched up highlights, low lights, and cu, blow out and straightening and karatine treatment. Jasmine has the most reasonable rates around just to think with I would have paid if I was still in New York City. Truly Thank you Jasmine your an angel and a life savor your forever customer. :) read more

Stay-Away! I took my daughter here to have her eyebrows done. Unfortunately my daughter was handed off to a stylist with the shakiest of hands. The results were clown like, when the stylist brought her to the front, she actually thought she did a good job and began filling out the receipt. I asked the owner what she thought of my daughter's eyebrows and she did not see a problem. I had to demand someone new try and fix the mess already done. My daughter was then handed of to Anna; she was much better and did her best to fix my daughter's eyebrows. The owner, as she saw me typing away on my iPhone, relayed there would be no charge. I must hand it to Anna for fixing what I thought could not be fixed, and for that she was given a generous tip. My tip to everyone else is to stay away, unless you are in Anna's capable hands. read more

I went to a very high-end salon in Soho, NY that specializes in curly/wavy hair and cust dry, not wet. I liked it. Then I returned to Jupiter and went to Brooke and asked her to follow the same lines. She made the cut even better! She is also an outstanding colorist, using my same formula and products from Nantucket, MA. She did a terrific job. My friend also uses her and raves about the color! I have become a big fan of dry cutting v. wet because it doesn't shrink up when dry leaving you with a shorter hair cut than you really wanted. I highly recommend Brooke. Called ahead to see if they can get us in for a haircut for my daughter. They said if I could be there quickly the yes. I said sure I will come right over (which I did). My daughter just wanted a simple haircut we discussed layers and she talked me out of it. It's fine. She basically was already telling me she didn't have time for a shorter haircut. When she walked away I watched the woman say to another stylist "I only have five minutes and now this". I'd rather walk out and go somewhere else than to deal with someone who thinks I can't read her lips or HEAR her speak about me. Shame on you for being rude.
