I love the convenience of this salon.However they do not take American Express. I get that the stylist tip is separate. I myself am a retired hairdresser. I have been trained past beauty school standards and look for experienced stylists. I am willing to pay what they charge. I primarily use my credit card for miles and points. I get that this salon doesn't take American Express because of the bank charges. I will suggest you incorporate the hair services charges in your asking price so we all can enjoy your salon. read more

I was new in town and needed a blowout for a wedding I was attending. When I arrived, I wasn't sure they'd be able to fit me in because they were busy, but I only had to wait about 10 minutes. The blowout turned out amazing--I was so happy with how it looked! I also decided to get my eyebrows waxed, and they did a great job with that too. The prices were very fair, and the service was excellent overall. One tip: make sure to bring cash for tipping or have Venmo ready. I didn't have either at the time, so I had to step out to get cash, which was a little inconvenient. I had a terrible experience here. I made an appt.with the owner for a root touch-up, face frame highlights, and a cut.I ended up agreeing to low lights & a blow dry also.My bill was $430.00! (not including tip-which I now regret giving.) I was charged for a glaze, which wasn't mentioned, ( see other reviews,I am not the only one this has happened to.) In addition , it turns out the owner's prices are MUCH higher that the prices listed online. Note: all prices online have a + sign after them. If you decide to go here, read all the reviews-maybe you won't make the same mistake I did. I have naturally wavy hair, and wear it in layers. She cut my hair to a style that I would never have, and is very very unflattering. It took me 2 days, and a threat to file a dispute with my cc company to get her on the phone. If you have blond hair and you need to do your color don't go to this salon. It's was my first time coming to Kosmos, I came just for my root color. She did three times my root and put strong products to all my hair, and since my visit there all my hair are very damaged now. My stylist was very good. I got a hair cut and partial highlights. My disappointment is in how the owner charged me. I called ahead of time and was quoted $95 for highlights and $45 for the cut. I was charged $160 because the toner to ensure the highlights would should correctly was the extra. Then I was told the toner would be included no extra charge but that wasn't the case. I won't go back. They're not truthful. I feel sorry for the stylist who works there. read more

The salon was immaculately clean, everything seems new- with high tech dryers, a lovely interior, and even the wash bowls were comfortable! I had a haircut and blow out for $75. Fair price, very busy! I went back the next week for color. It was a night,are! My hair came out BLACK as my beautician addressed three other clients as I processed...I was charged $160 for a root touch up, a "glaze" and a blowout,,, the blow out was rushed, not professional as she still had clients waiting... I paid $140 today for another salon to fix the damage.. NEVER again, Kosmos! read more

I slept through most of the process... but when he was done I was so happy, and loved his work! My mother has been a client of Christina's for years. While visiting from Connecticut, I stopped by Kosmos for a bangs trim and met Christina. Later in the week when Christina met my mother for her weekly appointment, she mentioned that she thought my hair would look better with chocolate highlights, that it was too dark. (My mother has told me this for years.) I took her up on it and had highlights added. I totally love it. I feel like a new person. I have been going to Kosmos for years but hadn't had Starvos do my hair until the past year. I am so happy with my haircut, style, color and highlights. I feel like I walk in a mess and leave looking great. I don't have the easiest hair, but Starvos works wonders! I travel to Los Angeles and Napa so I have to get cut and colored there but always come back missing Starvos. I have even brought in my 89 year old mom and she gets her roller "do" and leaves happy with whoever is able to do her cut, color and set. We have been coming to Kosmos for years due to efficient fairly priced service. No more. Took my 10 year old daughter there for a trim of her hair in back only (no bangs, no blow dry). We waited for ever for the service, the 5 minute 2 inch trim was terrible with large strands of hair not cut, and we were charged $40. Worse of all, when I questioned the owner she was largely dismissive of my concerns. There are plenty of options and this will be last time we go to this place. read more

Second time coming to the salon I was told that my appointment would have to be rescheduled due to another appointment coming in 30 minutes later. My appointment had been made over a week in advance and the hairdresser(Julie) walked in at the same time I did for the 9:00 appointment. I was told that it wasn't my fault (no apology) but next time I should tell them on the phone that my cut would take more time. Like I know how long it takes? Too bad, I really liked how well she cut my hair before but I need to know that my appointment is just as important as her 9:30. I'll be finding another hairdresser. read more

My family has been a long time customer of this salon, and unfortunately the customer service has gone downhill. My friend got a haircut that was completely botched the other day, and she drove to my house with borderline tears in her eyes directly after her experience. She didn't want to insult the stylist as we both work in the service industry, so I called for her to see if she could get a different stylist to fix the hair. The lady on the phone was continuously interrupting me when I was trying to answer the questions she asked. I was informed that due to her not buying a blow out we would have to pay to fix her hair. Why even offer haircuts for a set price if you cannot ensure any type of quality? We went to see another stylist today and her eyes were bulging out of her head when she was looking at her hair. Apparently for 55$ you get the same quality haircut as something from the hair cuttery. Kosmo you have lost a customer without even touching my head. In a town that favors local businesses you should know customer service matters. I will pay a little more to go to my new salon. read more

Great salon! My hair was mid back, no style, and WAY too hot for anything other than a ponytail. I saw Starvos, who talked me off the "cut it all off" ledge and proceeded to give me a life changing cut and color. He assessed my hair well and I bravely (and correctly) gave him pretty free reign to do what he thought best. It has been the best grooming decision I have made in the last 15 years. While traveling I needed to get a highlight touch up and found this salon on yelp and it sounded good. The salon itself was nice and staff friendly enough but I was unpleasantly surprised by the pricing and up sells.. I know I should have asked before getting done but I come from a very expensive area and assumed it would be priced similarly or less. My mistake. $180 for a one color partial foil and blow dry.. No cut and only a partial highlight. She also did a glaze that I did not ask for and didnt realize it was extra. I'm used to $165-$185 but that's for full color and cut.. Very overpriced I think. Plus she made me wait for 20 minutes past my appointment. I paid although I was shocked at with tip over $200 for just partial highlights and blow dry... Ill be sure to ask next time.. But not going back there.. read more
