I know it's not easy to work in customer service, but to work in customer service and face people all day feeling under the weather, kudos to everyone at the pharmacy. I do want to say for the most part, I come here get my prescriptions and go. But once in a while I will need extra assistance especially dealing with new prescriptions or seeking for advice. Special shoutout to pharmacist Jordan! She is pretty amazing! She has helped me on several occasions always with a smile and kindness. Today she helped fill a prescription at another local pharmacy since they didn't have the medication in stock. She called the other pharmacy, transferred my medication order and called me to go there in 30 minutes. It helped me so much in so many ways! Thank you Jordan!! It's not easy dealing with people picking up medications all day long. But why not do it with a smile and make the best of it? Thanks again Jordan for doing just that!

I don't know what the issue is with this Walgreens pharmacy, but my experiences here have been…read moreconsistently frustrating. I received a notification that my dad's prescriptions were ready for pickup, so I went to the pharmacy expecting a quick transaction. Instead, I was told I had to wait for the pharmacist to release the medications because there had been a change. When I asked what the change was, no one could explain it, and I couldn't find anything different on the prescription label. To make matters worse, I had to wait over 15 minutes for the pharmacist to return and approve the release. I didn't have extra time to sit and wait because I needed to get my dad to a scheduled appointment. If the medication isn't actually available for pickup, then why does the website and notification system say it's ready? Unfortunately, this isn't the first issue we've had at this location. My dad receives a monthly injection, and during our last refill they gave us the runaround for three days, claiming they couldn't reach his doctor for approval on needles. The problem was that there was already a valid refill on file the entire time. It took them three days to figure that out. People don't have time to make multiple trips and deal with repeated pharmacy issues just to get medications they depend on. Because of the ongoing problems, poor communication, and wasted time, I will be transferring my dad's prescriptions to another pharmacy. Of you need your medicine in a timely manner skip this location and go elsewhere.

There are a lot of Bandon looking cars or RVs, where I pretty sure people are living out of them since the windows look boarded up or have trash bags with duct tape along the edges. Granted that has nothing to do with the store. It attracts a certain in clientele. I'm only giving three stars because the parking lot was also not lit which goes back to the owner of this plaza as well as the questionable cars that have moved in. Every time I've come to this particular pharmacy there's always been at least a 25 minute wait! The people seem very nice that are working behind the counter, but goodness!! This particular day, apparently my prescription was sent to a different pharmacy and I just got a text message from their app telling me to pick it up. I checked the app later and it was my fault, it does give the details of which location of Walgreens but since the last pick up I had was at this particular location I came here without checking the details on the text. So basically come here stand in line and check your emails! Lol

Unfortunately as I was pulling in the manager called the let me know my masseuse had called in sick and they could only rebook my massage to start 1.5 hours after the original time. I was disappointed, but I made the best of it and thankfully had a flexible schedule that day. I ended up ordering tea and lunch from the Tea Bar. Unfortunately the matcha was out of stock, but I opted for another green tea and the crab cake. It was raining the day I was there so I didn't end up using the pool. I really like my facial with Ruth. She was amazing and had lovely energy. I would definitely rebook. My massage was okay, but despite a few requests for more pressure, I was told that was the max she could do. I have had a lot of massages, but have never encountered that before

I really wanted my first time at Cavallo Point Spa to be an amazing experience, but it was…read moredisappointing. When I booked, I specifically requested a deep tissue massage. However, when I met my therapist, he mentioned he would be doing a signature massage without discussing pressure preferences, even though I had noted on my intake form that I prefer firm pressure. Unfortunately, the massage itself felt neither particularly deep nor relaxing, and it did not meet my expectations. Upon arriving, I was initially confused about the entrance. I entered a building with a gift shop and "tea bar," thought I was in the wrong place, and had to ask for directions. I then learned the spa entrance was behind the wall in the gift shop, which wasn't apparent. I expected the tea bar to be a special space that you might find in a Japanese tea garden, but it was a bar with a mini fridge, something you might find at a gym, and it was in the gift shop! While the waiting area was bright and airy, the changing area--which included the infrared sauna and hot tub--felt more like a college locker room than a spa environment. The treatment floor itself also had a rather sterile, hospital-like feel that didn't create a relaxing atmosphere. It would be helpful if a pre-appointment email listed available amenities and noted that guests should bring a swimsuit to use the hot tub. I checked the website beforehand and did not see this information listed or any photographs. I would have enjoyed using the hot tub had I known, but I was told I could purchase a suit in the shop instead. Lastly, the one-size sandals provided were difficult to walk in and felt unsafe and risky on the stairs after the treatment. I also found it fairly shocking that they suggest 22% as the starting point for a gratuity. Overall, I was disappointed with the experience, ambiance, and level of service provided. I sent the manager feedback and was informed that the changing room space was going to be getting an update, but I feel additional updates are needed, including making reception a dedicated space or moving it inside the door, and moving the tea bar, and making it a unique, special space. Having the reception area and the tea bar crammed together with the gift shop does not work.

However, I'm old and wanted to get the new COVID vaccine recently. I got an appointment, showed up, and they refused the vaccine because I'm on Medicare. I called the pharmacist after and talked to her about it, and she started that they couldn't give me the vaccine because of my Medicare supplement. I pointed out that vaccines are part of normal Medicare and do not require a supplement, so it doesn't matter what supplement I have. She suggested I go to CVS, so I went to the one in Willow Glen and had a very nice experience. Now, I'm not even sure it's legal for them to refuse a vaccine for someone on "regular" Medicare (not "Medicare advantage," which I might understand), or if they have gotten into some anti-vax "MAHA" kick. But I want to warn my fellow older neighbors that this Walgreens seems to not be friendly to Medicare patients any more. Really a shame and very disappointing, but, outside of warning you, I don't know what can be done about this except take the little side trip to CVS.

It makes shopping difficult, because I always have to track down multiple employees to do my shopping. What I love? The employees! They're always pretty friendly no matter how understaffed they are. And I guage how much I like a new employee to their response when I ask if they know my childhood friend, Daniel. It's Daniel who makes shopping here the best: no fake small talk, no intention of fake customer service, just real, raw, wonderful interactions. What would make this place five stars? Honestly, the employees always do. But occasionally I watch certain policies enforced that make me cringe, so I'm fairly certain it's just tough for me to GENUINELY support a major corporation. I prefer small businesses, and I'm proud to let my bias show.

I'm referring to the front register, not the pharmacy in the back (though I do often see lines and waiting there too). They only ever use one register at the front. If there's a slow customer in front of you, the workers do nothing to resolve the issue or expedite the transaction. And the employees just work slowly, talk slowly, move slowly, press buttons slowly, ask unnecessary questions, cause unnecessary delays... everything is just absurdly slow. This has not changed over the last decade. There can be just one person in front of you at this Walgreens, and it will still take longer than a line of 10 times that many customers elsewhere. I came on Tuesday afternoon to pick up some cold medicine cuz I was feeling under the weather, and yep service is just as inefficient as always. I had planned to get my go-to DayQuil, but then I saw that Mucinex offers its own fast-max version of all-in-one liquid gels and opted to try that instead, so at least they had a variety available to choose from. Still, I only come here when I urgently need something (since it's closeby to where I work). I would avoid this store at all costs otherwise.
