Cindy does a good job on my manicure I will give her that, but it turned out to be the worst experience! My friend and I were really excited about coming to Spearmint to pamper ourselves. It started out great - and everything went downhill when I realized she got my request wrong (I requested a gel mani and she heard me said regular mani and pedi). When I realized it was just a regular french I stopped her and asked if this was gel. And then she gave me the most pissed off face and tone of voice I have ever gotten from a nail artist. She started telling me how much time she had spent on drawing the french tip, how many customers she still has after this (it was 5pm on a Sunday), and blamed how I told her my request wrong. I am very sure I told her gel mani when I first got in, but I didn't want to argue with her on that because all I wanted to know was if I could still switch over to gel. And of course she just said no. The rest of the time there was awkward and silent. Honestly, I think it was the attitude that she had made it a very unpleasant experience for both myself and my friend. I was polite and do not think as a customer deserved to take that from her. I am so picky about my appearance. I met Cindy half years ago at a salon when I was getting my hair done, then I saw her little station that she was looking at the Japanese nails magazine. From that moment I knew she is different!!! She wants to improve herself and be on top of the fashion. So I decided to let her do my nails and try the eyelashes extension. But I've tried calling her a few times but no answer. Cindy is wonderful! I needed my nails done badly and found Cindy on yelp. She just happened to have a cancellation and I'm so glad she did. I got french on my toes and french shellac/gel on my hands. I waited to write a review to see how my nails lasted - it's been over 2 weeks now and they still look fabulous! No chipping or cracking! She takes her time and she is very meticulous. It was a very relaxing time because Cindy owns the salon and works independently - there's no one there but her so you have the cozy place to yourself. I got a gift cert from Saigon Spa but it's also good for mani-pedi so I decided to use my cert on pedi. I can see why Cindy got 5 stars for her work. She spent almost two hours just on my toes! My appointment was at 4 and I didn't get out of there til 5:45! Granted her next appointment didn't show up so she just took her time to work on my feet. I've had pedicure done with many different places but I must say Cindy does the most meticulous job. She did extra pampering even on the basic pedi. My toe nails are big but she shaped them nicely. She uses OPI which is a good brand for mail polish. Another refreshing deal with her is that there's no waiting if you have appointment with her. She would turn customers away to make time for her next appointment instead of working on two customers at the same time. She didn't try to sell you any of her other services either.
