My nail appointment with Angel was by far THE BEST experience I've ever had getting my nails done. From beginning to end, Angel was kind, soothing, and so detail oriented. I made an appointment via text message a few weeks prior to my appointment to get my nails done for my wedding weekend, and the two hours I spent with her were by far the most relaxing time I had that week. Her studio is located in Suite 5 of Sola Salons, and it's filled with the cutest decor. Pink and cute figurines galore. It's a 1:1 salon, so all of Angel's attention is on you, and she has an iPad on the side playing Kdramas so you can keep occupied. She was super sweet and noticed I was really into the drama and adjusted the angle of the iPad for me to keep watching. Most of the appointment was peacefully quiet, which was exactly what I needed on such a busy week. She spent a lot of time just cleaning and getting my nails ready for the polish, which I appreciated a lot. She then took the time to make sure she did the exact design I was looking for and recommended her newest glitter nail polish, which was a fantastic choice and ended up looking so beautiful on wedding day. Angel is seriously a magician, a total nail artist wizard. She is meticulous with her work and it is absolutely flawless. And it lasts! My appointments last a few hours as well - a majority of that time is spent on nail care after removal of the previous design. Her studio is small but cute and PINK! It's made for me lol. It's very clean and extremely organized. She keeps snacks and light beverages in there too, as well as good Korean Netflix series playing. There are restrooms for all the businesses in the building and there's plenty of available parking in the shopping center lot. She's got tons of pretty designs to choose from. Her prices are high, but she's great about working with me to give me similar modified versions of designs I like that are more in my budget. She's very strict with her scheduling policies, but it's her business so she has right and reason to set them as she wishes. My previous regular nail artist (very good too and we got along well) moved and no longer does nails regularly. I'm glad I found a wonderful new nail artist to see in Angel! read more

I was very ill and in the hospital, unable to make my appointment. Instead of at minimum checking in on your client, I received a text informing me that I can no longer book appointments. Every business has the right to refuse service to anyone - I understand that. At the time of the communication, getting my nails done was the last thing on my mind. I prefer to do business with people that have empathy and build a rapport with clients instead of black and white focused on $$$ read more

My nails from Angel are AMAZING! I'm in love with her work. You book an appointment via text. Angel is super sweet to communicate with and tells you her availability. Upon walking in, you know she puts a lot of thought into her workspace. It is extremely clean, organized, and very cute. This is how you know she will put a lot of care into your nails. I didn't have a design in mind (just flowers + gel extensions) and I wanted her to surprise me. I love how she has a show in the background playing. We shared many laughs during a lot of scenes. While I was engaged with the show playing, Angel was very attentive with my nails. Like what the other reviewers mentioned, she is gentle and her presence is relaxing. I love how my nails turned out and I already received so many compliments. Her designs are beautiful and she pays great attention to details. I found Angel through one of my followers on IG. She's located at Sola Salon Studios in Santa Clara where there appears to be multiple stations of beauty care in one location. Angel is so sweet and was nice enough to see me on a Sunday, as that was all I had available. Her space is filled to the brim with different kinds of nail polish, cute figurines, all pink decor and had K-Drama on for background noise. Angel is very precise in how she services your nails and takes her time to make sure it looks good. This was my first gel x nail experience with a Korean / Japanese style to them and they came out so cute and dainty. I will definitely return to see her for future nail appointments and try out different styles and maybe even try the extensions! (pictured are my real nail)! read more

Angel is a very meticulous and super sweet person! She took her time to prep my nails before doing them every time! I have pretty dry and brittle nails but everytime I get them done by her, it always grows out so healthy and long! Her nail salon is also super neat and clean and cutely decorated too! LOVE LOVE my nails! she took the time to clean out your nails, cut all the cuticles and was very detailed and gentle. options and colors are endless. But i have to say it took way longer than i expected so be prepared to clear out your schedule because it could take a few hours depend on your style (mine took about 3 hours) it was definitely a little more pricey so i recommend discuss pricing beforehand. Definitely worth the money for special occasions or when you feel like splurging. i never been to a salon that i 100% satisfied with the outcome. This review is long overdue but much needed! Angel is very attentive, meticulous, and gentle! It was my first time getting my nails done with Korean art/style and I'm so glad I found Angel on Yelp. I chose a basic color for my first time to try it out and I just booked my second appointment with her for a new set + design! Also, they last a long time! I was in Hawaii for a trip and I was worried that they would chip with how much time I spent in the water but wow they lasted... 3 weeks later (second photo), they were still intact and good as new (even after trimming and buffing them at home). I first came across Angel Lovely Nail on Instagram because I loved looking at Korean style gel nails. This was the first time I've seen a nail tech of this style in the Bay Area. Booked my first appointment with Angel through text and the whole process was easy and she was so patient with answering all my questions! I was stunned by how cute her little studio space was, everything is so clean, organized and pink Angel encouraged me to keep my natural nails and grow them out with the gel rather than doing extensions and I'm glad she did. After years of having acrylic nails, I really wanted a less damaging way of getting my nails done and I'm so glad I went with a gel manicure! Angel is thorough and meticulous from the filling, cutting of the cuticles, shaping the nails and painting on the gel. No air bubbles or roughness on any nail which used to bother me a lot with some acrylics. I got a purple cat eye effect on my natural nails + 2 glass heart beads on each ring finger. It took about 2.5 hours because of the rough conditions of my natural nails but it flew by since Angel put on a kdrama for me. The best nails I've ever had! I've never had such pretty nails and Angel does an amazing job at meticulously cleaning and shaping your nails to the perfect shape and size you want! She is super kind and helpful to understand what might work for you! The first time I got the gems/ stones on my nails I was worried it would fall quickly... but it never fell off! I am not a careful person but I didn't need to get my nails done again until a full month! There are so many variety of colors and she has all the trendy nail polish that you wouldn't see at a regular nail salon! I've been eyeing these "magnetic" nails on IG and I was super happy that she had them in her collection! The picture doesn't do justice so I highly recommend checking out her IG! She's an extremely sweet personality and is extremely detail-oriented. Never doubt a suggestion from her. Angel is quite literally an Angel! I had an amazing experience in her super cute nail salon. I came to her because I wanted to get some crystal nail design and she did not disappoint. The attention to detail she had with cleaning up my nails before doing the art was top tier, they were so clean and beautiful! She was gentle too which is a huge plus, not a fan of rough nail artists. I would highly recommend seeing Angel! I will definitely be going again. If you are searching for someone to turn your nails into a work of art, look no further because Angel will work her magic! I have been wanting to get my nails done for over 2 years and I found Angel through Yelp. She responded promptly to my appointment request and then we moved to text. I really appreciate people who reply fairly quickly. During my appointment, she asked questions about what shape I wanted my nails to be, what colors I wanted, and the design. I found an IG post of Japanese style nails that I liked so I asked her to paint something similar. She has such a wide array of colors and nail accessories!! She was super gentle and understanding of my sensitivity to the UV light. You can tell when your nail stylist truly cares about what they do when you see how detailed they are when working on the nails and understand their customer's needs. My nails came out way better than I could have expected them to! It's such a fun combination and the best way for me to celebrate my belated birthday. This is my second time going to Angel for my nails! She's super nice and really precise with her work but also very gentle. She can work off designs you show her. Her studio is decorated nicely and it's only her, so it's quite relaxing with a show playing in the background. The price is pretty high but I think it's worth it for the level of detail she puts in :) read more

5 stars all throughout the experience! Booking: I was able to book easily and fast through text, which I love because I like to have everything written down (vs phone call). Location: The salon was easy to find and super cute, neatly maintained. Tons of colors and parts to choose from--I'm from Korea and I can tell you she's got all the latest products from there! Design: I asked Angel for a proposal nail set and she came through!!! I am usually indecisive and have a low-key style so her idea of doing the light pink, glitters, and hearts on different fingers were perfect for my occasion and ended up going so well with my ring and bouquet Nail polish process: She was very thorough in prepping the nails as well as making sure finishing was flawless so that my sensitive nails could last. Literally the best manicure I've ever had!! She was so lovely and was so willing to work with my absolutely hectic schedule. I've never felt more taken care of when getting my nails done and she played a super funny and entertaining show while I was being worked on. Honestly I can't wait to go back again. I did have a nail extension pop off the day after I got them done but she immediately tried to fit me in to get it fixed and was incredibly kind about it. Got my nails here and was blown away with the results. She was very detailed with her work and was very easy to work with. There was a plexiglass between us and masks were used. I am super clumsy and kept bumping my hands into the plexiglass barrier between us and she was so patient. Highly recommend. read more

Found Angel through a TikTok (and then on IG) from a local artist showing off their nails and was really happy to find someone in the Santa Clara county area who does nails in a style I really like! Angel did such a wonderful job on my nails and she's very gentle! I love the color (I got the magnetic glitter in pale blue) and the simplicity that I've been maintaining and cleaning my cuticles since because I love how my nails look. She was super flexible when setting up an appointment with me, just had to find a time that worked for us both, but totally worth scheduling (the wait). I have never been one to go beyond one color for a manicure or even think about designs. But once I found out about Korean/Japanese nails and saw pictures I decided to try it out. I looked up "Korean nails" on Yelp and Angel's studio popped up. Scheduling with Angel was so easy and fast! When I arrived, I texted Angel and she greeted me cheerfully at the door. Hand sanitizer was provided upon arrival and there was a glass barrier between me and her on the manicure table. I usually don't like my nails long but wanted to try a different shape, and Angel delivered. She filed my nails so beautifully and when it came to the actual gel manicure, she did amazing! Angel was so meticulous with her work and always checked in on me to make sure I was okay and liked my nails. I left sooo happy with my nails! Angel is super sweet and friendly and made me feel nice and comfortable in her studio. She's really meticulous and good at what she does. Super gentle handling and attention to detail with shaping. The appts may run a little longer and pricing is higher than your average salon, but you really get what you pay for and my manicure is going strong 6+ weeks later and still looks amazing! She also has literally walls of colors and charms and pretty much anything you can think of to create the nails and designs you want. I booked through text and got a very prompt response. I had been wanted to get Korean gel nails for a while now and I had been following on ig for almost as long. I convinced myself that I deserved this and I texted her just to see. She worked with my schedule and gave me some options to see what would fit. My thumbnail snapped the other day and it was quite short. She was able to do quick gel extensions and make them all even again. It was great! Her set up is cute and cozy. I have gone to Angel twice already and have my 3rd appointment booked. I'm not even someone who gets their nails done regularly, but she does such a phenomenal job that I've wanted to at least get a few more sets before I take a break and live with my natural nails for awhile. The first manicure I had last me 6 weeks with no chipping, through a vacation in Hawaii and the first couple weeks back to school before I was able to get an appointment. She is willing to do exactly what you describe to her as well as give you ideas if you feel stuck. She is transparent with her pricing and worth every penny, so don't be afraid to ask her exactly how much it will cost. If you want Japanese/ Korean nails. Gotta go here! I asked for this Pinterest nail design and angel absolutely delivered! Thank you so much angel for giving me beautiful nails for my vacation. Her shop is so cute and very organized. She was very friendly and kind. Also she had her Korean show on. I enjoyed my time with angel. The only thing is the nails were pretty pricey. Angel is the sweetest! I was running a little bit behind for my appointment and she was so accommodating. When I got there, I decided last minute to add a design on one of my nails and she was so thoughtful and let me do it so last minute! It's my first time getting a Korean style gel and my first time with her and I love it! She really does take her time with cleaning the cuticle area to make sure it's as smooth and clean looking! I used to always get acrylic on my nails and over the years have transitioned back to trying to rock my natural short nails and she made them look so beautiful. Angel did an amazing job and was soooooo kind!!! Honestly the best nail artist in the Bay Area - she's my go-to for nails now. I had a French design in mind and she took so much care with each nail. Her freehand design is also crazy neat and clean, I couldn't believe it! It looks exactly like what I wanted, and it's actually the first time my gels nails didn't have random bubbles or catch lint by the time I made it home. I have found my new nail salon!!! Firstly, booking here was so easy. Second,This shop is very clean and ADORABLE. Hand sanitizer was available and easily accessible to me the entire time. Third, and arguably the most important point: my nails look amazing! Her color selection is the largest I've ever seen and all her designs are so cute and creative. I decided to play it safe this time since its my first time at this salon ( and first time getting my nails done since the original shutdown ), and I am not disappointed! Angel is the absolute best! She's an expert at her craft! I've had my nails done with her 3 times and everytime the end result is amazing. She's very meticulous and I appreciate her attention to detail. Each session is 3 hrs, spending 1 hr only for gel removal and 2 for the new set. I've never been to a nail salon that spends that long on just the removal! She can create custom nail art and carries the latest and greatest nail supplies: magnetic gel polish, unique and high quality colors from Korean/Japanese brands, jewels, crystals, etc. Highly recommend going to Angel if you're willing to splurge! I've had a Yelp account for a long time (maybe 8-10+ years?), but actually haven't posted a review before, lol. I usually just go on to browse and bookmark new places to check out, but I'm so impressed with Angel and her work that I must leave a review! A couple months ago, I decided to look for a nail salon specializing in Korean nail style and found Angel! I messaged her and got a response pretty quickly after and was able to set an appointment within the next week. Angel's business is a cute and cozy pink suite located in Sola Salons. I loved how she set up her space and even had a little corner with snacks and even offered me some. We got started right away and I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she got to work right away. She was so meticulous and so detail oriented. I loved how she shaped my nails exactly how I wanted and made sure I was okay with the shape and length before moving on. The whole appointment took about 2 hours which is a bit long but it definitely made me feel like I was getting pampered and know my nails are being taken care of. I was honestly so in love with how my nails turned out and couldn't wait till my next appointment which I scheduled with her right away because I knew how she gets booked up quick and I needed my nails to look on point for the BTS concerts I was attending in LA My nails from my second visit with Angel are still looking great and I've still been getting compliments on them even though it's been almost 6 weeks since I got them done for the concerts lol! Whenever I get gel for my nails, it's because I like them to last long and I like it to stay very glossy and I can say that both times I've been here, my nails always stays glossy for weeks as if I have I've just had them done. It doesn't have scratches on them and doesn't turn dull like other places I've been to so that's a huge plus! I finally have time so I scheduled my third appointment with her and can't wait! The prices are a lot higher than what you'd normally see at other salons but honestly, it's very worth it because of how much time Angel puts into making your nails look perfect with every little detail. Both times I've been here, I've never left unsatisfied, but very happy and satisfied!! A huge plus is that she is the sweetest person ever and is so accommodating! So glad I found her on here!! Sometimes there is a barking dog in the salon, and most of the time the place feels dirty and not particularly well-maintained. My most recent visit will definitely be my last. I stopped in for a walk-in pedicure and asked the man at the front if they had time. He said yes and directed me to a chair. After I sat down and he started filling the foot bath, two customers with appointments walked in. Shortly after that, another walk-in came in, and he turned her away. It was obvious he was annoyed that he had accepted me before realizing his scheduled clients had arrived. He rushed through my pedicure from start to finish. I actually don't mind a shorter massage, so that wasn't my main concern. What bothered me was the quality of the service. He applied only one coat of polish--no base coat and no top coat--and then immediately moved on to the next customer. Once my nails were dry, they told me I was ready to leave and charged me full price for what felt like a rushed, incomplete pedicure. I paid full price, but definitely did not receive a full service. I won't be returning, and based on my experiences, I can't recommend Q Nails.

I requested: * #108 Gelixir purple gel polish + acrylic fill manicure * #108 Gelixir purple regular polish + basic pedicure The owner upsold heavily throughout. I even let her do extra work on my pinkies to build rapport. Total: $81 Tip: $15 (tipped before the service was completed) She opened the shop ~5 min late despite accepting my 9:30 AM appointment, & complained aloud, setting the tone for our session. *~~ Where Everything Went Wrong 1. First Mistake Toe spacers were applied after polishing but before the paint was dry, immediately smudging the big toe. 2. Second Attempt They only partially removed the polish to "fix" it. Because the initial coats weren't fully removed, the application was thick and uneven. After 40 minutes of "drying," the nail dented and the texture caught the lip of my shoe, scratching again. I told them I still had time if they wanted to properly redo it. 3. Third Attempt A kind staff member accidentally damaged the other big toe while helping me into disposable sandals. At this point, my toes had been ruined three separate times--all due to staff actions. *~~ The Owner's Response When I asked if they could use gel on the big toes (since the mistakes were theirs), the owner refused and claimed: 1. The colors "wouldn't match." 2. Gel and regular polish can't match--despite the Gelixir palette offering both and my manicure proving otherwise. 3. That because I chose regular polish, the outcome was my fault. She repeated this many times. 4. That regular polish takes "hours to dry in cold weather," something she never mentioned and is simply not true. By then I had been there from 9:30 AM to 12:20 PM, and the pedicure was the first service we started. *~~ Escalation & Unprofessional Conduct When I calmly asked for a reasonable fix (or at least accountability for my time), the owner became rude, defensive, and dismissive. She offered: * No refund * No partial refund * No refund of my tip * No solution She repeatedly told me I could "leave if I didn't like it" while her staff was trying to help me with bare toes. Instead of accountability, she lectured me with constant "you" statements and kept shifting blame. I stayed polite and attempted to de-escalate, but she kept escalating. My friend who was with me also felt the owner was short, judgmental, and rude from the beginning. As a Filipina, I'm familiar with cultural bluntness--this wasn't bluntness. This was aggressiveness and unprofessionalism. *~~ Service Quality & Safety Concerns * They used a pumice scrubber on my inner ankle bone, leaving raw skin and micro-cuts. * The owner drilled harshly on the sides and cuticle area during my fill, causing irritation and cuts. When I said "ow," she told me I "needed lotion." (I regularly moisturize; the issue was her technique.) * During upselling for designs/gems, she asked about two fingers. When I agreed, she worked on the wrong fingers, insisted I said "all," and did the same thing to my friend. * Despite her picking my friend's shade, she acted annoyed when we asked to see it on one toe. Odd behavior throughout--there's truly no winning with her. *~~ Final Thoughts Based on quality alone, this could have been a 2-star experience. But the owner's behavior makes it a 0-star experience. Earlier, she told me her business struggles with retention but has some regulars. Now I understand why. The recurring reviews about poor customer service suddenly make complete sense. Even her responses to negative reviews show the same pattern--confrontational, defensive, and unwilling to take responsibility. It's impossible to relax when the owner is hostile, unaccountable, and provides no customer care. This was my first time going (only to accommodate my friend's work schedule) because in theory the 9:30 AM start time is competitive. But honestly, you're better off walking one minute over to Winchester Nails, which is actually my regular spot. I'll never cheat on them again.

Angel has so many pretty/creative designs that you can choose from and she uses high quality products like gems, pearl, glitters from Korea and Japan. I could not just pick one design because they were all pretty and unique, so I kept on changing my mind on designs. Must have been annoying but Angel was very friendly and patient with me and came up with a new design just for me. She spends good amount of time on her work to make sure every customer is happy with their nails at the end. She is also fluent in Korean and Chinese! read more

I initially loved my appointments here with the nail technician Jane that I bought their membership twice. How their membership works is it's a prepaid that allows you to get a small discount off each service. I did the $500 membership tier once and was happy with my experience so I bought a second $500 membership in order to get 10% off each service. However, when I bought into my second membership, I noticed I started getting different treatment than the other customers. This salon caters to native mainland China speakers & although I am Chinese, it's very apparent I am American born Chinese. I don't speak fluent Mandarin but I understand Mandarin well and I can converse with simple phrases. However, there were a few things that happened to me that made me think I was treated differently than the other Chinese clients. The owner would repeatedly schedule my appointments with all her technicians going through training (this happened to me at least 3 times). During appointments when she was monitoring her employees, she would hit her vape in front of me. And there was a specific instance in which I caught her criticizing the pale yellow nail color I had chosen in Mandarin because she thought I didn't understand what she was saying (she told the nail technician in training that the color I had chosen was ugly and she advised the technician to build close relationships with her clients so they can take her color recommendations, otherwise people will see her work and think she did a poor job simply because I chose an "ugly" color). I think the cherry on top was when I went in for the last time today, I had a $50 balance in my membership. My nails were supposed to cost $75 but the technician told me that because I didn't have enough balance in my membership to cover my entire service, I wouldn't get the 10% discount and they would be charging me additional $10 for gel removal because the gel removal is complimentary only for members. My technician was apologetic but stated it was the owner's policy. But what's the purpose in buying the membership if you're not going to get the discount? I think I'm just deeply disappointed in my experience because I've always been a good customer who tipped all the technicians well, and showed up to all my appointments on time. I've gotten some really cute nail sets done here (I'll add some pics) but the treatment I've gotten has completed ruined the experience for me. Just be aware if you're coming here as a non-native Chinese speaker- they won't treat you or value your business the same.

I do not recommend this salon…read more It may have a fancy name, but my experience suggested a lack of training and attention to detail. I came in for a pedicure with regular polish and a gel manicure. The pedicure was mediocre but acceptable, but the manicure was a complete disaster. During the manicure, the technician cut my finger so badly that it wouldn't stop bleeding. She became visibly flustered, wasn't wearing gloves, and my blood ended up all over her fingers. It was unsanitary and incredibly uncomfortable. The quality of the manicure itself was terrible. My nails were filed into uneven, lopsided shapes that weren't symmetrical. She then proceeded with my gel manicure but skipped several of the basic prep steps that are essential for proper gel application. I get gel manicures regularly, so I know the process, and she completely missed some of the key steps. The polish application was also poor. It was so thin that you could still see my natural nails through it. I had to ask them to redo the manicure, which turned my appointment into a nearly two-hour ordeal. When I tried to bring my concerns to the staff, no one seemed to understand me--or they pretended not to. I eventually gave up trying to explain. At checkout, they took a little over $10 off my bill. At the time I accepted it, but after telling my husband everything that had happened, we both agreed the discount didn't come close to making up for the experience. A few days later the gel manicure peeled off in one piece, which is a clear sign it wasn't applied correctly. Then, a couple weeks later I went to a different salon for a pedicure. Since I thought I had regular polish on my toes, they started trying to remove it with regular nail polish remover. That's when we discovered it wasn't regular polish at all--it was gel. I never asked for gel on my toes. Not only had they applied the wrong service, but it had also been applied incorrectly. I ended up having to pay an additional $5 just to have the unexpected gel removed before my pedicure could begin. Between being cut until I bled, the uneven nail shaping, the poorly applied gel manicure, being given gel on my toes instead of the regular polish I requested, the extra time, and having to spend even more money to fix their mistake, this was easily one of the worst salon experiences I've had. I won't be returning and cannot recommend this salon.
