Alex texted me when she was heading over with her ETA and arrived right on time. Instead of having to convey what we wanted to a front office staff who then conveys it to the groomer, we were able to very quickly show Alex what we wanted with a photo. The upside of being able to communicate with the groomer directly is that we got what we asked for at the end with only very minor adjustments, which was quick and easy. Being able to streamline this process saves a lot of time! This was our first mobile grooming experience, but it was such a nice luxury to not have to drive to drop off my dog. We mainly did it, however, to see if this would be a less anxiety-inducing experience for our dog since she's usually very nervous and starts shaking at the groomers. I think the fact that it's just her (and no other potentially nervous dogs) definitely helped a lot! At the same time, it also gave me peace of mind to know that she would be done quickly and that she isn't just stuck in a cage while waiting for her turn. Overall, I believe it took Alex maybe an hour and a half whereas we sometimes had to wait 3 hours to get her back. They also put some flowers on her hair, which was so cute when we got her back. All in all, the marginal price increase compared to our regular groomers was well worth it for the time savings and more positive experience for my dog. We will definitely keep using Hot Under the Collar in the future!

From the initial contact on Home Guide, and before, and during, our appointment, her communication was exactly appropriate. I just haven't experienced this level of professionalism in Las Vegas before. Barbara's thirty plus years of grooming cats and dogs is quite evident in her skill level as evidenced by the results for my older, and very anxious, dog, Coco. She is a Mobile Pet Grooming business, which is necessary in my case because my dog can't travel. Her vehicle was completely equipped and pristinely clean. Warm water and AC. All perfect like you would expect. Not only was the cut excellent, but Barbara listened to all my little quirky (but important) details regarding her skin conditions and anxiety issues. Her empathy and level of care are something I've just never had before from any grooming service I've used for the past ten years. It's truly amazing when a dog like Coco actually LOVES the Groomer! I'm three years late leaving this review, but I feel it's important to share exactly what happened…read more I took my little dog, Morkie Mork, to One Love Pet Salon to be groomed on April 20, 2023. When I picked him up, he had been injured in two separate places during the grooming process. I've attached photos showing the injury to his paw pad. In the photo, the area appears pink now, but at the time of the injury, it was actually black. A portion of his paw pad had been shaved or cut away, leaving a deep and wide wound. Morkie Mork is only seven pounds and has very high anxiety, and the injury was so painful that he was limping and, at times, unable to walk normally. I had to bandage his paw and use skin glue to help close the wound because it was so deep and wide. It took close to a month to heal, and my poor dog was limping around for nearly that entire month. I also have a video showing him limping and struggling to walk because of the injury. I felt absolutely horrible watching him suffer. The photos of his face show the second injury. He was nicked or cut while his face was being shaved, and we had to apply ointment and wait for the injury to heal. So this wasn't one isolated issue. My dog was injured in two separate areas while he was being groomed--his paw and his face--and the salon took zero accountability. I contacted the salon immediately. Instead of taking responsibility for what happened, they essentially denied that they were responsible. They wouldn't even refund what I had paid for the grooming service that resulted in my dog being injured. Accidents can happen, but when you are entrusted with someone's pet, especially a tiny, highly anxious seven-pound dog, I believe there should be accountability and genuine concern for the animal's well-being. I initially thought One Love Pet Salon was reasonably priced. After this experience, I questioned whether the lower price reflected how quickly they rush through appointments and the level of attention given to the animals in their care. This was one of the most frightening and upsetting experiences I have ever had with a groomer. I would never take Morkie Mork back there, and I would never trust them with my pet again. Please look into a groomer carefully before trusting them with your pet. Your animal can't tell you what happened while they were in someone else's care. You should be able to trust that your pet will be handled safely, carefully, and responsibly.

After hearing a positive experience from our neighbor, we decided to meet with Brendan from Lead and Thrive Dog Training. From the first consultation, Brendan was confident, clear, and straightforward. He explained that the program would take eight weeks and emphasized that our consistency at home would be the key to success. He also provided all of the necessary equipment, including a long-range collar, leashes, and training collars, which made the process easy to get started. After the consultation, we planned to take a few days to think about it, but within minutes of Brendan leaving, my wife was already asking me to call him back and get started right away. That pretty much says it all. The program consisted of one session per week for eight weeks. In our case, that included four in-home sessions, two sessions at a nearby park, and two additional sessions tailored to what we wanted to focus on. We chose more dog-focused park training instead of busier, people-heavy environments like Lowe's or Home Depot. Each session was followed up with a detailed text recap covering what we worked on and how to continue practicing during the week. That made a huge difference in staying consistent. After completing the program, we also gained access to unlimited weekly group training sessions, which is a great added value. Brendan also gave us helpful recommendations for quality gear, like retractable leashes and car restraints. At the end of the process, we couldn't be happier. The results, the value, the structure, and the support all exceeded our expectations. Augie has made incredible progress, and we feel much more confident as dog owners.
