    Luca
    Kama R.

We found Brendan through my personal trainer Rob at the gym and started working with him when our dog Luca was about 3.5 months old. Luca is a Bernedoodle with a lot of energy (and a lot of size), so we knew we needed help early on to set him up for success--especially with two young kids at home. We did a 3-week board and train at Brendan's home, and the difference it made was phenomenal. Brendan has a calm, steady presence that really clicks with dogs. When Luca came back, he was still his sweet, playful self--but more manageable, responsive, and easier to communicate and connect with. It felt like he finally had a structure to rely on. Brendan sent regular updates, videos, and progress notes during training, which helped us feel totally at ease while Luca was away. He was also super easy to communicate with throughout the entire process. After the board and train, we followed up with sessions at our home, the park, and Lowe's--sometimes with other dogs, sometimes solo. Luca continues to do amazingly well. He heels, follows commands like sit, down, stay, and spot, and is becoming more aware and in control by the day. Now at 8 months and 72 pounds, he's fantastic with our kids (5 and 3), and it's clear how much the training has helped. We also love that Luca still goes to group classes on Saturday mornings, and if we travel, Brendan boards him at his home and does brush-up training while we're away. He's been incredibly accommodating and invested in Luca's long-term progress. We're so grateful for the foundation Brendan and Lead & Thrive gave us--and we'd recommend them to anyone, especially families with young kids and big, energetic dogs.

    Hachi, our Golden Retriever

We adopted our golden retriever, Hachi, at approximately 3 months old and our veterinarian recommended Lead & Thrive Dog Training to us.  I was very impressed with the website, particularly by the testimonials from other satisfied clients which compelled us to reach out to you. As a 3.5 month old puppy, Hachi was rowdy, unruly, behaving just as a typical puppy would but we knew that getting him trained at an earlier age would be advantageous. After having had Brendan O'Neal's thorough training, we are definitely enjoying a far more disciplined 5 month old puppy.  We are totally happy with Hachi's overall obedience and find the investment well spent.

I've had Lulu since she was 6 weeks and have taken her to work with me since day 1. Lulu is a Yorkie mix and she was playful and sweet and thought she would become social with my clients at work. As she got older, Lulu became aggressive, barked non stop and started to snap at people. She would charge at people and jump at them without any provocation. Lulu was 2 when she snapped at my nephew I knew I needed help. I reached out and got a response immediately. We setup an evaluation and he came to meet Lulu. He explained the process and we setup Lulu's training with Brendan for the following week. The first session that we had with Brendan was an eye opener. After 10 weeks I can say our lives have changed for the best. I no longer have to worry about Lulu taking off, snapping or jumping at people. We can comfortably take her to work, the park and in public knowing we have full control while having fun at the same time. She turns heads when we're out but it's for all the cutest reasons now. Her anxiety is turning into confidence and it's all thanks to Brendan. Thank you so much for helping my little diva and for teaching us how to build a strong bond. Brendan is amazing! Thank you again for being great at what you do and helping us be better humans for Lulu!

Almost a year after Brendan took my boys for training we have been doing a remodel. With having contractors and work being done for almost 3 months the dogs have been amazing and have not made doing the remodel easy. Thank you again for training my boys and teaching mom and I how to handle them correctly.

Prior to training Elara was a rambunctious puppy with a stubborn streak. With Brendan's help she has learned to use all that energy appropriately. Our concerns about her unpredictable behavior have subsided and we do not second guess bringing her along whenever possible. We have no doubt that Elara's quality of life has improved since training, thanks so much Brendan!

I found out about Lead & Thrive Dog Training through the web researching different dog trainers and read many positive reviews that I decided to schedule an evaluation. My boyfriend and I got a new Akita puppy, Boba, and knew that we wanted to instill good behaviors in him because he is going to grow into a large dog. Before our training with Brendan, Boba did not know how to walk on a leash, sit, stay, and listen to commands; we also did not know how to teach him correctly. He was a sweet and stubborn dog and was only motivated by treats. Once we started our training sessions with Brendan, we were surprised at how smart and obedient Boba can be, he picked up on commands surprisingly quick. Watching Brendan handle Boba motivated us to practice daily, and over time we noticed a big change in Boba'a behavior. He stopped pulling on the leash, would stay on his spot for hours, stay on our heel off and on leash, and many more. We can also take him to different places knowing that he is well-behaved. With Brendan's help, we learned how to handle Boba correctly and gave Boba a confidence boost. I would recommend Lead & Thrive Dog Training and Brendan to everyone who wants to teach their fur babies. Thank you so much, Brendan!

When I got my first puppy I was confident I could do this on my own. Boy was I wrong! Luckily a good friend/client of mine had her dog trained by Brendan and had such a well behaved dog I had to contact. Brendan was so patient with Lucifer and I've seen a total 360 change. Lucifer used to be exactly what his name is, a DEVIL. Chewing up baseboard and walls, using the restroom inside, snatching food from our toddler, and even food aggravation. Now he's so patient with the baby, no longer destroys the house and respects me. I will always recommend Lead & Thrive. Most importantly Brendan taught me how to be a great pet owner. Thank you!

A Training Program That Truly Follows the Dog - Exceptional Transferable Guarantee!…read moreMy husband Jim and I cannot say enough wonderful things about Bark Busters! We fostered Willow, a Labradoodle, intending to find him a forever home, but we completely "failed" at fostering and fell in love with him. Willow's previous owner had invested in Bark Busters Gold Service training before we adopted him. As a disabled Veteran, Jim has found Willow to be an incredible mental health support, and we wanted to ensure we continued his training properly. A Guarantee That Truly Puts Dogs First: What truly sets Bark Busters apart is their remarkable Life of Dog Support Guarantee, which is transferable when a dog is re-homed! This transferable guarantee demonstrates Bark Busters' genuine commitment to the dogs they train, not just their clients. They understand dogs may change homes and built a system ensuring those dogs receive lifelong support. This is virtually unheard of in the dog training industry! Seamless Support: We contacted Bark Busters to learn about Willow's training, and they made the transfer process incredibly smooth. Their focus was clearly on Willow's wellbeing and ensuring continuity in his care. They taught us the Bark Busters method - natural dog communication using body language and voice control that Willow already understood. No treats, no harsh corrections, no complicated equipment. The Results: Thanks to their transferable guarantee and guidance, we've maintained Willow's excellent behavior and strengthened our bond tremendously. The relationship between Jim and Willow has flourished, making an incredible difference in Jim's daily life and wellbeing. Lifetime Peace of Mind: We can contact our certified trainer anytime new issues arise - for Willow's entire life. As he grows and faces new challenges, we have peace of mind knowing professional help is available. Even if we relocate, the guarantee moves with us! Our Recommendation: If you're struggling with dog behavior issues, we wholeheartedly recommend Bark Busters. They work with any breed, age, and issue. Their trainers are knowledgeable, compassionate, and genuinely invested in helping families. Most impressive: their Life of Dog Support Guarantee is transferable when a dog finds a new home. That forward-thinking policy shows incredible integrity and true commitment to every dog they train. It's a game-changer for rescue or adopted dogs. Willow is a well-behaved, happy companion, and thanks to Bark Busters' transferable lifetime guarantee, we have confidence and support to continue his success. We're so grateful for their innovative approach ensuring every dog receives lifelong support, regardless of circumstances! - Jim & Tammy Proud parents of Willow the Labradoodle

Not only were we wondering where the business was located and wanted to tour the business, but we were not given that opportunity ahead of time and he didn't do any training with our puppy. The one thing we thought was a little bit rich was when he took the dog for a small walk of 100 ft to the mailbox and back to the house. He said that the dog is doing better because of the Walk that he gave our dog in that total distance of 200 ft. I've never seen a "businessman" reaching for excuses trying to get into somebody's pocket not to return their deposit without the servce provided as promised. We expressed or disappointment and pointed out what he was doing was wrong. In his words, "Just remember, that we didn't do anything." We agreed, HE REALLY DIDN'T DO ANYTHING, and that is why we want the refund. In addition to that, his conduct during the conversation was unacceptable as a business trying to place blame on us. As a customer all we wanted to do was get a partial refund and just move on since there was nothing on the schedule in the future for our puppy to attend their training but that they only took our money. We made five attempts in text messages with responses days later that were incomplete and unacceptable. We decided it was not a good place to put our puppy for training because of unanswered questions and delays in answers. our dog is doing just fine without the promised training that he claims he could do. The loss of the deposit money is a lesson learned but better to know now than to put our puppy with a questionable business that won't even reason with logic. Buyer be Aware
