We needed to make a last-minute grooming appointment and were lucky to find availability with Alex at Hot Under the Collar. Alex texted me when she was heading over with her ETA and arrived right on time. Instead of having to convey what we wanted to a front office staff who then conveys it to the groomer, we were able to very quickly show Alex what we wanted with a photo. The upside of being able to communicate with the groomer directly is that we got what we asked for at the end with only very minor adjustments, which was quick and easy. Being able to streamline this process saves a lot of time! This was our first mobile grooming experience, but it was such a nice luxury to not have to drive to drop off my dog. We mainly did it, however, to see if this would be a less anxiety-inducing experience for our dog since she's usually very nervous and starts shaking at the groomers. I think the fact that it's just her (and no other potentially nervous dogs) definitely helped a lot! At the same time, it also gave me peace of mind to know that she would be done quickly and that she isn't just stuck in a cage while waiting for her turn. Overall, I believe it took Alex maybe an hour and a half whereas we sometimes had to wait 3 hours to get her back. They also put some flowers on her hair, which was so cute when we got her back. All in all, the marginal price increase compared to our regular groomers was well worth it for the time savings and more positive experience for my dog. We will definitely keep using Hot Under the Collar in the future! read more

Love Justine! My pup Meeko used to go to another groomer in town, but when we would get to the shop, he would panic and hated going inside. I then took him to Petco, where we met Justine, but the store could no longer take him due to a heart condition. Now that Justine is doing mobile grooming, we're so excited to have her back! Meeko has the best time and is never nervous to be with her! I also recently started having Justine wash my short hair chihuahua, who is known for being a bit reactive and unfriendly with strangers. This was my pups second time being groomed by Justine-I was so happy the first time that I booked a second grooming for the holidays. Justine is so good with my pups-I have two goldens-one suffers from epilepsy so I was really fearful of having him groomed-however, having him right outside helped to ease my anxiety & he absolutely adores her. We have had nightmare haircuts done to our doodles at other locations in the past. Even after showing pictures to previous groomers they managed to do something completely different. That has never been the case with Justine and Hot Under the Collar. Our girls love Justine and so do we! She does such a great job grooming them and truly cares about your pet. My name is Justine, and I would love to meet you and your furry family! As the owner and pet stylist, I want you to know I care about your animals as much as my own. I am a pet lover and mom to many kiddos, including traditional… and not. I have three small dogs, a cat, sugar gliders, and three geckos. Phew! I grew up in Phoenix, Arizona and moved to Las Vegas in 2020 after graduating from Northern Arizona University. I have always been creative and loved my time working for pet stores throughout college, so I decided grooming would be a way to combine several of my passions. I ended up adoring the industry and have dedicated the last three years to learning as much as possible to be able to provide the best services to my clients. I love every aspect of grooming, from the health and wellness side to the glamorous haircuts. I am PetTech CPR certified and a professionally trained groomer with hours of continued education.

Justine is the best dog groomer I have found in Vegas! I use to drive 45 minutes to bring my pups to her because she is the only groomer who could cut my Aussie's fur perfectly every single time. I did not keep up with his nails. it was clicking and clacking all over the wood floors. he made it very hard to sleep at night. they cleaned him up and clipped his nails and now he can sneak up on me. I'm so happy I reached out to her and she was able to squeeze me in and here's why I will continue to be scheduling with her bi-monthly: 1) She's mobile so she comes to you! She only asked that she could use one of the outside plugs which I had no problem with 2) She was able to squeeze me in on a Sunday (today at 8am) 3) She showed me all her equipment beforehand and walked me through what she would be doing (high pressure hose in the bath to remove excess fur from winter coats, high velocity dryer hose to blow out the the under coat, dremel for the nails, and shave the paw pads) 4) My husky was still blowing his winter coat before this appointment but she was able to finish everything in under 1.5 hour (just look at the attached picture of my floofers right after his grooming!) I'm so happy with how he turned out and a major plus is I get to support a small business! I'm telling you if you're like me with a double coated dog and is tired of going through groomer after groomer after groomer, give her a try and you will not be disappointed!
