After inviting 6 companies to our home to bid on our kitchen remodel project, we narrowed it down to 2 companies that both seemed to offer quality, competitive pricing, and thoughtful recommendations based on their years of experience. We visited both show rooms, which were impressive, and ultimately decided on IMAGE CABINET & STONE because it is a family-run business. While there were some non-family members that did work on the project at certain stages, over the course of our remodel I interacted regularly with 3 members of the family (Sean, his brother and father). Non-family workers they seem to work with routinely handled the demolition of our old cabinets, counters and sink, as well as the installation of the new white shaker cabinets, counters and sink. This whole process only took a few days. Sean and family handled the installation of the backsplash, as well as installation of the new appliances we had ordered (Refrigerator, Oven, Microwave w/ Vent, Dishwasher, Faucet). They always seemed to come prepared with all the tools they needed and were very pleasant to have in our home. Sean was the primary source of communication and provided a competitive quote quickly, along with a digital rendering of the kitchen remodel. He responded to emails and texts in a timely fashion. I appreciated the recommendations he made during his initial consultation, including his idea to add a Lazy Susan turn-table, a compartment for pull-out trash can, and to use a microwave with vent combo so that our counter could extend the entire length. He also recommend we hire an electrician to add additional electrical outlets for our convenience. Their quote covered the demolition of the former kitchen, the installation of new cabinets, new sink, quartz countertop, and appliances. It also included the labor for installing the backsplash and cabinet handles, but we had to go buy ourselves the style of backsplash and handles we liked, which makes sense since their such a variety and range of prices. We made payments to IMAGE, CABINET & STONE in 4 installments over the course of the project. My wife and I were very happy with our experience with IMAGE CABINET & STONE and I have already referred them to one neighbor and one family member, who thought the price we paid was extremely reasonable for the work we had done. Worked with this company in late 2018 to design and install our full kitchen. Bad experience then with poor communication, rude and abrasive interactions with Sean. Coming back to tell you that at the start of 2022 our cabinets are falling apart. Shelves are constantly falling (we've taken to just using epoxy to keep them In place), paint is chipping, they dent easily and just look worn. Baseboard areas also peeling off. We're not hard on our cabinets. 2 clean adults. Looks good on install. Doesn't last. read more

We were excited to find such a highly rated business so close to our home. Ours is a fairly small project - refinishing about 6 cabinet doors and 12 drawer fronts in our kitchen. We first visited the shop and met Shawn in August 2017. At that time the shop was busy with work and Shawn told us there would be a delay of a few weeks before he could come to our place to look over the job. We understood, since the scope of our project is so small. We called Shawn back in late September to see when he might be able to take a look at our kitchen (we are literally 5 minutes from the shop -so pretty convenient). Shawn again told us to call him back in a few weeks. We called back in November. Shawn said that he would call in a week to set a time. But that didn't happen. We visited the shop again in December- this time Shawn came to our place and looked over the job. He said that he would get back with an estimate in a week. Nope. Shawn and his crew did an AMAZING job on our major kitchen remodel. We had the GC's architect draw up plans that my wife and I just weren't thrilled with. Shawn ditched the plans, used his expertise to maximize the space, and gave us plenty of storage in a really beautiful custom layout. One of the best things about Shawn is that he is willing to stand firm when he thinks something will look stupid For example, I had ordered a full size fridge for practical reasons. He insisted that I return it for a counter-depth model. He would've preferred to walk off the job than leave me with an ugly kitchen. In the end, Shawn was right and our kitchen is gorgeous. I bought my home a couple of months ago and had to work with several contractors to renovate the place. When it came to my kitchen, I reached out to several contractors and I had horrible experiences with all of them. One contractor VERY obviously tried to take advantage of me and gave me a ridiculous quote (almost twice the amount fr another contractor but same materials) etc etc Then I found Sean. Literally last minute, and he turned out to be the perfect choice. 1. His prices are more than reasonable. So reasonable that I also got my restroom counter/sink/cabinet and hallway closets done by him 2. He and his team were incredibly respectful of my home. The first time they stopped by to gut my kitchen, not only did they clean up after themselves, they cleaned up a mess left by other contractors!!! The cabinets came with a 5 year warranty which was very important to me. Within 3 months the cabinets had many spots were the wood started showing through. I called Sean and though he did take awhile to come stop by, he did show. He said it happens with water. I don't think we splash or drip water more than the average homeowner but I accept this happens. The problem is that when he said they have a 5 year warranty, he didn't mention it was only on the cost of the paint not the labor. This meant that 3 -6 months after paying them $7700 I had to pay them $1300 to fix the cabinet paint. The repaint/ lacquer lasted 2 years which tells me something was wrong initially. We are at 3 years now and the cabinets look horrible. Almost every cabinet has worn away paint probably from weekly cleaning. The doors & drawers are under "warranty" but it will be like buying new doors to have them fixed since the warranty only covers the paint. When buying any new cabinets, I would clarify this. I will be buying new cabinet faces again. Best to know your finishes & options and how long they last. read more

Sean and his crew re-skinned and re-counter-topped a bar area in our den back in August. We were in somewhat of a bind because the counter area was only 25 square feet. (counter top and bar top) The problem was in a natural stone, which we wanted, minimum slab was 40 to 50 square feet. Making up to half of that waste that we would have to pay for. Not to mention the estimate from a couple of the "big boys" including a company that remodeled our kitchen was outrageously expensive, or the job was too small to bother with. After finding Sean's company on the web and calling him, he came over and looked at what we had. I told him about our issue with the counter area and he said he had a remnant in marble that we might like in the colors that we wanted. Saw it and luckily we liked it. Sean re-skinned the base, wall and bar cabinet, mixing and matching a color that we liked, new doors, which included adding four new doors to the bar and the marble bar and counter for literally several thousand dollars less than the others. His carpenter even designed four doors so we could use the old glass inserts And it all came out very very nice. As I said, the cabinets were re-skinned, yet people think they are all new. Sean prides himself in good quality work for a very acceptable price. When he sent me the quote, I thought I was looking at it wrong, or there was a mistake. That's how much cheaper he was than the others. And obviously no job is too small. The only negative if you want to call it one is I wish he would be a little more prompt on his time schedules.
