Jenifer was everything I could have possibly asked for in a hair and makeup artist. For both my wedding and engagement photos I wanted to look like myself, but more glammed up and in makeup that would photograph well and she delivered this perfectly. I described what I wanted, showed her a few inspo pictures and she adapted it perfectly so that I looked like my best possible self. She also did makeup for my bridal party and my mother, creating five very different looks of varying intensity that fit each lady perfectly. Some sat down knowing exactly what they wanted with photos, and some just asked her to use her best judgement to make them look good. All of us looked amazing both in person and in photos all night. Every lady wants to feel beautiful on her wedding day. In fact, it's our once in a lifetime chance to feel like a supermodel. My personal wish is for my fiancé to have his breath taken away when he sees me coming down the aisle. So, everything has to be Perfect on my day (hence why bridezilla often emerges for some gals). Jenifer did the makeup for my wedding a week ago and I'm so glad she did! She came to our hotel in Davis at 8am and did makeup for me, my 3 bridesmaids, my mother, and my mother-in-law. I wanted a light, fresh look and she delivered! Everyone looked incredible and even the mothers were pleased (they don't usually wear much makeup). The makeup lasted from 8am until the wedding was over at 10pm even though it was 90 degrees (we only needed to touch up our lips, and she gives the bride lip gloss to take to the venue so we all used that). I scheduled Jenifer to do my wedding make-up. Although I wear makeup everyday, I am definitely a minimalist with it, so a natural look was important to me. I tried out a couple of other makeup artists but somehow none really delivered when I asked for a natural look. Jenifer did. Even my fiance was impressed and loved my makeup. During my trial run I was a little taken aback when Jenifer pointed out some problems with my hairstyle (I had just come from a trial run for my hair), but she was absolutely right and it helped me to describe what I wanted to my stylist at the next appointment. On the day of my wedding, some of the other stylists were late, but Jenifer was on-time. She waited patiently with a warm friendly disposition that put me at ease, even though I felt terrible that everything was running behind! I mentioned to her that I had some makeup residue under my eyes following the trial run and she was able to prevent it from happening again on the day. I hired Jenifer to take me shopping and to give me a makeup tutorial. I've had two babies really close together, and had stopped feeling pretty. I had purchased some makeup and tools, but was missing key things (like foundation, or the right blush) and had no idea how to use the stuff I bought... I've never been better than basic at the whole beauty thing. Jenifer took me to Sephora and MAC and helped me pick out products that she felt were right for my skin and coloring. I have a much higher degree of confidence in what I purchased because of her expertise. After our shopping was finished, I met her down at her studio for a lesson in makeup application. We covered (ha! Makeup pun) my whole face: foundation, concealer, color correction, contouring, eyebrows, eyeshadow, eyeliner (by far my biggest challenge), blush and lipstick. She was thorough, patient, and really fun to talk to. Oh, and I had my three-month old son with me... I know for a fact that his being there added time to my appointment, but at no time did I feel rushed. I spent from 10am-2pm with Jenifer, and she provided great value for that time.
