I willl never go back here again and recommend everyone else rethink trying these guys out. I paid 350 (!!) for my hair to be completely ruined. My color shade came out completely wrong and obviously looked terrible. When I told the stylist (who was barely paying any attention to me because she was working on another client (apparently I wasn't important because this other person was a Sacramento Kings cheerleader lol) at the same time, she barely acknowledged me. She tried to fix it but still did an awful job. I had to go back to the city I used to live and have my regular stylist fix it for half the price. It's been several years since I've had a haircut and my spouse needed one as well, so we went in together on Monday. I mostly just wanted a trim to get rid of split ends and didn't really know what I wanted otherwise, but our stylist (Lily Mason) was amazing! She suggested we try out face-framing bangs on me which ended up super cute, and she also layered my hair without sacrificing much of its original length. It feels super healthy and is much easier to manage now! Lily also shortened my spouse's hair into a cute bob while retaining its original wavy texture, I'm really happy with how we both turned out. I was in desperate need of a haircut and only had availability on the weekend so I booked an apt. here as a new client. It's always a little nerve-wracking going to a someone you haven't met before, but I was so pleased luck landed me with Jasel Sarena. She took my frizzed out overgrown mop (with quite a few gray hairs) and turned it into a healthy, shiny layered cut with no grays to be seen. She was also such a delight to chat with and even made me a super nice iced coffee with coconut milk. The location is convenient and booking was super easy too. Went to Jeanette for a copper bayalage. It seemed that some of the foils developed darker than she anticipated (this is what she said to me) and she opted (without a discussion) to put dark brown gloss to blend the hair. Imagine someone ripping through your only shampooed hair with a comb / damaging the ends / anxiously mixing glosses all while you are IN the bowl. I left with dark auburn hair when all I wanted was some copper added to ends. The first pic is the one I showed her and the second is after I left the salon. She definitely provided a thorough service, but it was so far from what we had discussed and what I wanted. When I brought up re-discussing the price she sent me a clearly edited photo of my hair to "prove" it was what I wanted l o l. The ego was insane, not what you would ever want when spending $600. I definitely could have achieved auburn with an at home gloss. She did offer to "fix" my hair but from the jump I did not want bleach, which is the only way to really lift this dark auburn. Now I just need to wait for my $600 hair dye to slowly rinse out and the color to eventually become what I had asked for :) . read more

I have been going to Mariela for a little over a year now and there is no one I trust more than her. Last year, I found her on instagram in hopes she could fix a botched dye job. It had faded just enough for her to do her thing and she COMPLETELY saved my hair. Since then we've done a different colors and each time she has taken her time to really explain the process and also warn me going certain ways will making returning back to my normal color a bit tougher. LOVE that she is so transparent and realistic, you need that in a stylist!! I followed my hair stylist, Lindsey Hall, from a different salon. Today I got my normal touch up at this new salon and was extremely pleased with the interior and cleanliness of the place the moment I walked in. Parking can be tricky since it's street parking and it's first come first serve, so be prepared to park around the corner in a different street. Parking is metered so you'll have to pay - but Sundays is free. Lindsey is amazing as usual and I have been going to her for over 9 months. Yes - she works on all hair types. I'm Asian and have blondes on my hair and there's never an issue with my hair turning brassy after a few washes with the products she uses and what she recommends as post care. My hair never leaves damaged or fried unlike other salons I've been to. She's hilarious - she can talk the talk and walk the walk - that's how good she is!!! This salon offers free snacks - cookies, snack mixes, nuts, candies and drinks like coffee, seltzers, water, sodas, etc. So pretty much; you will come here with an empty stomach and bleh hair, but leave with a full stomach and gorgeous/fabulous hair! read more
