The suggested Thai Boat Noodles was good but could be an acquired taste. The rice noodle is Viet pho noodle and the broth has a slight fish aroma. Actually, this item was like combinining rare beef pho with pork meatballs and fermented beef stew. A vegetarian dining companion liked the Chili Eggplant Rice Plate and would get again. We both recommend the Fried Tofu appetizer. Deep fried just right outer texture and softness inside. It went well with the peanut dipping sauce (mix in some red chili for a kick). Will return to try other items. Prices are not low if you're on a student budget but also not high like at most Thai restaurants. It is quite busy for a Sunday night but the place closes at 9:45pm everyday, which might be later than many eateries in the area.

The papaya salad was your standard papaya salad. We got the marinated crab which was a little extra cost. The marinated crab is pretty fishy so don't get it if you aren't into that. I really liked the thai boat noodle. The broth was really good. Meat and noodle were okay but I loved the broth. The thai tea was your standard. I asked to have it less sweet and it was as I requested. If you need a to go box or bag, they charge like 10 or 20 cents. The staff will check on you every now and then so that's good. I'd come back if I'm near to try other things on their menu!

Food was great and the service was quick, efficient, and very friendly. The staff made the experience even better with their welcoming attitude. The place was clean and well-maintained, creating a comfortable environment to enjoy a meal. It's a perfect spot whether you're looking for a quick bite on the go or want to sit down and dine in. Overall, a solid choice for a casual and satisfying meal.

Good. It didn't really do anything wrong. My pad Thai was quite agreeable. The service was prompt. The price fits the area. I am still hungry though so ima just give you four stars. Maybe I'm wrong but I feel like usually I'm not hungry after I have paid Thai for lunch.

Another Thai restaurant that despite their name, serves more than noodles. Their food is well-portioned, but their menu might be too comprehensive. We ordered a few items from the chef's special and found that they were okay and lacked a little bit of flavor, but at least they were filling. The staff are friendly and the food is prepared in a timely manner.

we seated 5 of us on a wednesday night around 9pm, they close at 10. food was fast and servers so nice. maybe around 10 tables total inside papaya salad 5/5 - nice and refreshing and limey Woon Sen pad thai with seafood 4/5 - two types of noodle which is unique. the seafood honestly pretty good fried chicken cutlet curry - 5/5 the curry wasn't dark as expected but it was more orange red but was delicious and the chicken had a wonderful crunch duck noodle soup 4/5 - standard duck noodle soup nothing that special; i feel like it needed some sort of zap like some sour or spice to it green syrup - melon drink that was sweet and refreshing

3 Thai Boat Noodles in the left. A "pink soup"? Bottom right. Idk about the other two dishes.

Was very very yummy. I got the Thai boat soup and it was very good, only problem was that the waitress miss heard my order and gave me the wrong thing("Fat rice noodles" instead of the Glass noodles I asked for) They fixed it with noo complain and I was fr munching. It was very good with their chili powder. Be careful with that chili powder tho cus it was spicyyy, I like spicy food tho. Would definitely go again. Was a tiny bit loud, which is why she miss heard me but that soup was so good. Their meat balls were not my not my thing because textual issues but my friend liked them so maybe they're good.

Super good. Got the crab fried rice and the meat was so tender and the flavors is rich and melt in my mouth. The mason gui curry was so savory and a taste that mesmerized me fs

My partner and I were on our way to a nearby ramen restaurant when we discovered The Noodle. It's a hole-in-the-wall Thai restaurant with an open kitchen and maybe 8 or 9 tables. As soon as we walked in, we were welcomed and seated by a smiley, sweet woman. Each table comes with a set of sauces and toppings, which is helpful for people who want to add their own heat to their dish (not me!). We ordered a bowl of Tom Kha soup to share, an order of duck fried rice, and an order of pad Thai with shrimp and chicken. The soup was HUGE! I think I could wear the bowl as a hat. It was more than enough for 2 people, and it would've also been enough as 1 person's entree. We ended up taking a lot of it home for lunch the next day. The duck fried rice was soooo tasty. The duck was cooked perfectly and the rice had lots of flavor. The pad Thai came out steaming hot and was excellent. The flavors blended together nicely and the noodles were the perfect level of chewy. I'm genuinely so happy we tried this place, and I'm excited to go back soon!!

This a perfect place to go to for lunch or dinner. It's a small inside and place gets busy on weekends but worth the wait. The food is delicious and the My mom and I keep coming back to enjoy dinner. The food is good and the service is great!

I have been coming to this restaurant since I was in college at Berkeley when it had the sister restaurant, Thai Noodle 2 on Telegraph. It's always been a favorite of mine, and I've been coming back for years. Service is usually very quick, and the food is always delicious and served hot. I typically get the Massaman Gai Curry (not pictured) which is such a uniquely flavored curry with chicken that falls off the bone! Every dish I've gotten has been amazing, like the classic pad see ew or pad thai, but my favorite dishes to order are the BBQ chicken over fried rice (pairs so well with a curry), the peanut sauce noodles, and recently the mango crispy chicken. I can never help myself and always order too much, thinking I'll have leftovers. But then it's so good and I leave feeling stuffed from having over-eaten since I couldn't control myself! If you wear a noodle shirt, you get a free drink too :) I've gotten 5 free drinks so far! The mango sticky rice I got for free too after collecting enough stamps on my card. So worth it, it was the best sticky rice I think I have ever had.

The waitress's attitude was really bad. It felt like I owed her money or something -- she even threw the menu at us. She only poured water for certain big tables and kept ignoring us, just because she wanted to flip tables faster and kick us out. I've spent a lot of time around Thai people before and always had good experiences, but this was honestly the first time in so many years that I met a Thai person with such a bad attitude. I really suggest the owner should replace that waitress in denim shorts. 第一次遇到態度那麼差的泰國人 欠她幾百萬一樣 垃圾跟Menu都用丟的 我是來消費吃飯不是來看你擺臉色的

Noodles, chicken, egg and broccoli = PadSeeEw
    Yawen L.

I ordered Pad See ew because it's #1 most liked on Uber Eats. What a disappointment!there was no other taste but the soy sauce, the eggs and noodle were burnt. They should probably wash the wok between dishes, I had to pick up all the little burnt bits I can see mixed in the noddles, eggs, and broccoli. And some pieces of chicken taste funny( sour?), I had to picked them out too.Yes, that's the 4-ingredients Pad see ew. Flavorless! Don't get me wrong, I love Thai food, but this got to be the worst Thai noodles I've ever had. I couldn't finish it and will not save it for later. Never again. Ps. This is my first time to the restaurant.

Street parking which wasn't hard to find is about $4 per hour. I was able to park literally right in front of the restaurant. Came on a Thursday around 2pm. We ordered: 1. Large Nakutama (cold): I've had this dish before a bunch of times and today the broth or meat had an odd taste to it. It almost tasted gamey like they meat was old or something. About 40 mins later I had a pretty bad stomach ache and had to use the restroom. Not sure if it was a coincidence or what. My wife had a small amount and agreed that there was an odd taste but she didn't have any stomach issues after eating it (but she also only had a small bite). 2. Large Shrimp BK: This was alright. The noodles were significantly overcooked and bloated. Not sure how that happened since they looked like they were freshly making it. The shrimp tempura was good though. 3. Tempura Pumpkin, potato Croque, Sweet potato and Crab: Honestly the tempura was the best item on the menu. I really liked the Pumpkin and imitation crab while my wife liked the sweet potato the most. Overall food quality probably 2/5 stars. The only saving grace for this location was the guy running the register who was awesome and super nice and funny. He was running around the restaurant helping out making the dishes and running the register. 5 stars for service. Location is also really nice and clean. SERVICE Since it was a week day for lunch and it was a holiday, the restaurant wasn't at capacity. There was one server who was attentive and wonderful! We met the owner and head chef, Kanlaya, who was very friendly. I could see her passion for Lao cuisine and her desire for guests to enjoy it. FOOD We were pretty excited so ordered quite a few items to try -- we definitely had leftovers. Everything was DELISH. * Pandan Green Tea -- delicious! * SAI QUA (Lao sausage) -- made fresh. Meaty and herbaceous. It was grilled and charred. Yum! * THU LITH'S FAMOUS SAIKOO --My friend was waiting to try this, which was the main reason we chose Lao Garden. It was excellent. Under "Wraps," these are steamed tapioca balls filled with pork. The tapioca balls were fresh, soft, and chewy, while the pork filling was well-seasoned and balanced. It was served with lettuce, mint, and parsley. * MOK PA -- Steamed catfish with lemongrass, dill, onions, and wrapped in banana leaves. A favorite of mine! Light and aromatic. It was served with steamed veggie medley and jeow mak len (tomato dipping sauce with various spices). * EGGPLANT PRAWNS -- Seasoned and tasty. Eggplant and prawns cooked to perfection. Since it was lunch, there was a special for this entree. * FRIED CHICKEN WINGS w/ PAPAYA SALAD -- This was also a lunch special served with sticky rice. We were chatting with the owner, and she was kind enough to change it to Lao style, which is more pungent with the umami from fermented fish sauce. The wings were crispy, and the papaya salad was well-balanced and tasty. Discovering Lao Garden was a fantastic experience, and we truly enjoyed their delicious dishes. I can't wait to return and share this hidden gem with friends and family so they can enjoy it too.

We got the pad thai and pad kee mao with a side of sticky rice. Everything was super tasty and flavorful. I really enjoyed the flat rice noodles. The sticky rice sides came wrapped in foil and were so compact (but delicious)!

One of the staff members were so sweet and regularly checked up on everyone, but our main server was incredibly rude. My vegetarian friend wasn't able to eat eggs but the rest of the table could, so we asked kindly if it's possible to just have it put on the side. I understand if they couldn't do it for whatever reason, but we were just met with so much passive aggressiveness for asking. It made the mood very unpleasant. But honestly, I find it strange as most restaurants are pretty understanding of dietary restrictions and can make modifications to cater to their many costumers. I previously had their pad thai for takeout in 2024 and remember being very disappointed. That said, I would give it another try if dined in. RECS: + Pad see ew ($16) was good, one of the better ones I've had + Green curry ($16) was delicious and full of flavor! + Crispy pumpkin ($10) had a light, airy coating of batter and was paired with a tasty sweet and sour sauce
