While looking for something different to do besides bowling or a movie ....Found Immersive Gamebox like some of the other Yelpers... by searching Yelp for other activities to do. Glad I tried. It was a wonderful and fun experience. A bit pricey although was worth a try. We played Angry Birds and Temple of Coins. Had big kid fun with Angry Birds although the coin game was yes, more on the little kid side. The facility seems cramped but surprisingly the game room was spacious enough for the body movements needed. Rooms are not sound proof so did hear I guess gamers next to us banging on the wall for their game. It was fine cause we were all into our game. My sister and I visited Immersive Gamebox on a Friday night. We decided to play Squid Games. Squid Games did not disappoint. We had a great time! The game had an appropriate amount of challenge for both the individual and group. My sister must have also had a great time because she took her boyfriend with her later in the month. I came with a group of 5 people, none of us have ever done anything like this so we thought it would be a fun outing! We did the Squid Game and had a ton of fun. We didn't realize that the tickets came with a drink per person (which was a great surprise - you can get alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks). e were quickly brought into our room and given some basic instructions on how it works, and started the game. The rooms can fit up to 6 people, but with 5 people there was just enough room so I would recommend going with a group of 4 or 5 max - moving during the different games was a bit challenging at times when the room was that full. The game itself was super fun, but I will say the hats you have to wear, make sure it is tight and upright as the sensors can be sensitive during different games - and don't move you head too much during the games that require a more steady movement! read more

I completely found this place by accident and I could not be more happy! I had no idea what to expect. When I walked in, I thought it might've been a bad choice because I have a 19 year olds and most of the kids were smaller. Then I realize they had different games. We played squid game, and I will say there is a learning curve... So do not volunteer to go first. LMAO! It is unlike any thing I've ever experienced, and it's almost hard to describe! This is a new franchise concept that just came over from the UK. I went with my 12 and 9 yr old and had a great time. Didn't know what to expect and still not sure exactly what to call it....it's not VR or AR but a fun little game concept that's a little different. We did the 60 minute alien invasion game which is basically 4 different mini-games. - pong like brick breaker game, a Pac-Man style game, "dodge ball" and a team memory game. Good family activity for something a little different. If going with kid's would recommend eating at punchbowl social which is located just upstairs on 3rd floor and has bowling and other fun family games. read more

For those people like me who previously heard about this place it was called Electric Gamebox originally and this name change I was not aware of is the reason I could not find it when searching on Waze . I did not fully understand what this place was before coming but it looked like fun. So I came with my boyfriend and 2 kids, a 10 and 4 year old. Coming with kids obviously means we had to pick something that would be easy enough for them that that whole time wasn't spent trying to explain. We chose Angry birds, which was 30 mins. The concept was fun, work as a team, tap to launch the bird and move up levels. Your amount of time remaining, score, settings Menu are on the wall around you. The only issue we really had while in there was the button tapping on its own when our hand got close. The price was ridiculous. Now you can call me cheap but $95 for 4 people 2 of which are children for only 30 minutes is just overpriced to me. It was a fun time but not $95 worth. The 60 min, while still overpriced to me, is a better deal. I saw they have more rooms geared toward adults and maybe those are more fun to do and more so worth the money but honestly I don't see myself going back unless I found a discount. They do serve some canned alcohol products for those over 21 and the guy at the desk said you can purchase the tickets which includes 2 beverages and you can also order once you are in your game room. read more

This was such a unique experience for me as I've never done anything like this. Each player is given the option of two canned alcoholic beverages which was a great addition. I do think the tickets are a bit pricey but we had a great time nonetheless. We opted for the 60 min squid games. The rounds were a great mixture of fun and challenging. I would note that the more players you have the less playing time you have. So if you're someone who wants ample playing time I would opt for two players. We were able to enjoy our time and had multiple opportunities to pass each round. I would definitely visit again when I'm in the area ! read more

The spot just opened up last week & the staff let us know they'll be setting up a bar in the back soon for adults so we'll have to come back for that. We played (2) 60-minute games: Alien Aptitude Test & James Bunny I love how mentally stimulating each game is, the harder the level got the more of a challenge. Would highly recommend this spot for families and children's parties. It's still a great time for adults but I'd suggest booking multiple games for 30 minutes instead since an hour can be repetitive. read more

I decided to take my goddaughter, last minute, to Electric Gamebox Arlington though most of their slots were sold out I was able to get one for 10:30 PM (I booked around 7 PM). I like how they have a variety of choices, including games for those who are 11 years old and below. We decided to go with the kid games. Though they were made for kids my goddaughter, my two other friends, and I all had a great time! One of the games was basically memory. It started off easy and grew more complicated. The other game was kind of similar to Pac-Man, but not Pac-Man. You will get a work out and will sweat as these games involve using your whole body. I found myself crawling on the floor trying to catch some of the stars! I will absolutely be back. This is also great for a date night! Especially since there are a ton of restaurants surrounding Electric Gamebox. This spot does not have a phone, so fyi. It's located on the second floor. We walked in the entrance right next to Ted's Bulletin. It's located in one of the outside walkways. This is the second time that I've had opportunity to bring my nephew to Immersive Gamebox for a cardio session disguised as highly interactive and entertaining gaming. We both love it! We have both had a wonderful time during our visits and have left laughing. Immersive Gamebox might not keep the my nephew off their personal gaming console, but it gives them a much-needed Roblox respite and allows us to bond in a fun and cooperative environment. The staff at the Ballston Gamebox are friendly, welcoming, and extremely helpful. The manager, Dalia, has gone above-and-beyond to ensure we've had an enjoyable experience during our visits. Second time going and i took the family that included a teen and tween. We had a great time.

We had high hopes for this. We played Ticket to Mars, which looked like it might be fun, and... it could have been. The main issue was gameplay was *not* intuitive (despite using your body), and it took us a significant amount of time just to figure out *how* to play. At a couple of points I kept ringing for staff to at least explain to us how to game works, as the instructions went too fast and the entire family was getting frustrated with the game. They could have had a walkie talking system to save time (as most escape rooms seem to have), however he had to come to the room, which took a significant amount of time for that game (the second time I called staff, I gave up as none appeared). He seemed confused that we would not understand how to play the game, and it seemed to take him a minute to figure out how it was supposed to work, himself - but when he started, I saw where we were going wrong, and we got to play. The game itself wasn't great at recognizing our movements, and seemed to act strangely at times. Twice a prompt came up (between games), asking if we wanted to order drinks. Our adult tickets included drinks: soda or alcohol - although I wish they had just made the tickets themselves cheaper and removed those. No alcohol was orderable , and we didn't get sodas for the family, so that option seemed a bit wasted. The adult tickets (and only the adult tickets?) allow you to cancel up to an hour in advance and change your game before you start. I'm unsure as to why not *all* tickets include that. It's just a video game box, so I would think it would be easy to, at the last minute, just load another game in. When we came in it seemed to be fairly empty (we heard a couple of other rooms being used). So, there shouldn't be any problem with availability if you do decide to go. In the end, it was over - we couldn't really tell how well we did, and, at that point, we didn't really care. Interesting concept, but poor execution and *ridiculous* price point (we nearly could have gone to Kings Dominion for the day, sans parking). We will not be going back. Came here with some friends from all the tik toks that sent us here. Was a very fun experience! We played psychedelic mansion . A 60 minute game $40/pp. It was 3 of us. They are a bit on the pricey side, but definitely worth it. I personally recommend no more than having 4 of you go, just so you can enjoy moving around freely without someone getting in the way. They do offer drinks at the beginning and at halftime of your game which run between $2.00- $2.75. John was super nice and helpful throughout. Next time we'll probably do 30 minute sessions for 2 fans. Oh and at the end they email you a gif that you make at the end. He explained to us exactly what would happen during the game ! He was so accommodating and knowledgeable, I thought he was the manager!
