Based on the serial number he was able to tell if my warranty was still valid. He took time out to assist as well as was possible over the phone. I ended up visiting their shop in San Jose (Brokaw area) on Murphy Ave the next day. He checked it over and quickly determined that it was something simple having to do with not having completed some updates. it's a mystery to me how he knew all this, but he is the expert after all. It turned out to be a quick fix. Obviously that may not always be in the cards but it was this time. Eduardo and Jesus (and others in their crew) are always polite, personable and super smart. Their rates are fair and I will always go to them for repairs. By the way, Eduardo mentioned that he and his team opened another shop, this one in downtown Saratoga on Big Basin Way. Glad that the delay helped me avoid further loss with this unreliable KY electronics. Unfortunately, although the diagnosis result was a complete error. I was not refunded for the diagnosis fee. Edit: The business owner replied saying that my job was on May 29, 2024, which is completely false. I wasn't even at the Bay Area during that time. Either he intentionally mixed me up with someone else or simply made up the story. Apparently, I have no point of making up a negative review if being satisfied as the customer, but the business owner has full motivation to respond to negative reviews by making up stories when he cannot reasonably dispute it, and it seems he has been doing it for many other reviews as well.

When I arrived I noticed that they have a big Yelp banner on the window, I walked in and spoke with Ray about the problem and showed him a picture of what the error was, he was up front with me and explained that if the hard drive was bad that he would not be able to save my data. I told him to do his best to save my data. The next day he texted me with a quote and said that he would be able to fix it and save my data. I told him to fix it. About 3 hours later he texted me again and said to come on by and pick it up. Now when I arrived he didn't just give me my computer and send me on my way, he sat me down and explained that I have 3 different options to save my data just in case the hard drive or computer crashes in the future. He also said that if I'm not sure how to back up the hard drive or need help with anything to call him and he would walk me through it. When all was said and done, he charged me $299 out the door and my machine is working flawlessly!! Thank you Ray! You got a customer for life.
