    Hawaiian roll

Our party of 6 came here to dine as part of the all inclusive package through Marina Fiesta Resort. We came for dinner on our first night here and had an awesome experience! Our waitress was super helpful and attentive. The experience was so amazing that we decided to come back again for dinner the next evening. Unfortunately, the second night was a complete nightmare. We arrived on time for our reservation and were seated inside the main dining room. A tall young man was our server. It wasn't until about 10 minutes after we were seated did he finally ask us what we wanted to drink. Then after ordering just water, we waited another 5-10 minutes before he gave us the menu but our drinks never came. Another server from the Presto restaurant came over apparently to help out and he was the one who finally gave us our water. To make the long story short, every time we placed an order, the tall young man never wrote them down. We would place our orders and the food either came out really late (some took an hour and some took over an hour and a half) or he just never placed our order with the sushi chef or cook. One person in our party ordered two maki rolls and it took an hour and a half for him to finally get it. There were other parties who came in after us, ate and left before we even received our food. The place wasn't busy at all but we could not for the life of us, figure out why this server was so incompetent. We got so frustrated that we literally had to walk out....still hungry! Regardless of the quality of food, if the service isn't satisfactory, it could really make or break your reputation. Because of this experience, i will never ever go back again. Oh and the server never once apologized for the delays or mistakes he made.

We should have known when we saw this place was rated low on yelp to not dine here but with an all inclusive plan, we didn't have much of a choice. Let's just say if we had to pay this out of pocket, we would not dine here. We ordered sashimi which was soaked in sauce and didn't seem very fresh at all, yakitori which was more like shish kabobs, edadmame which was standard (can't mess up there). The kurricanes were tuna, sashimi wrapped around imitation crab with avocado which were just ok. For the rolls we ordered spicy tuna, banana, unagi, Immono, posiedon and a salmon and tuna maki roll. They stuffed a lot of cream cheese and rice onto the rolls. The only thing we really enjoyed was the banana roll and maki rolls. If they didn't add so much rice to the maki rolls and gave larger pieces of the fish, that would have been better. FYI the unagi maki roll is an extra charge and not part of the all inclusive. Service was also really slow especially when it was just us or another couple as patrons of the restaurant. The tempura ice cream was also standard and one of the best desserts you can get at the all inclusive, which isn't saying a whole lot about their dessert choices.

This is no longer a Sheraton but a Marriott, part of the autograph collection. Make sure you make reservations because they get full fast. We had reservations for 5:30pm. They had a Valentines day pre-fixe menu or you could just choose from their regular menu. We chose from their regular menu. If you're part of the all inclusive, the service is slow, slow, slow. Our whole dinner took 3 hours from start to end. However, I will say, the view, amazing. The food, amazing. And the servers, amazingly nice! This was one of my favorite places to eat. There were so many good selections! Their complimentary bread was amazing too! The pork belly was good, the espresso martini, the ceviche, the lengua tacos, the octopus. Loved everything!

Look, Cabo can chew you up and spit you out with its postcard sunsets and resort traps, but every…read moreonce in a while you stumble into a spot that delivers the million-dollar view it promises. Sunsets & Sushi Bar is one of those. Perched overlooking El Médano beach, with the iconic El Arco rock formation glowing like a middle finger to the Pacific horizon, it's the kind of place where the sky catches fire every evening and you feel like you've bought a ticket to paradise. The ambiance? Top-shelf. Breezy, open, live music drifting in, flat-screens flickering sports if you're into that it's got that effortless cool that makes you forget you're in a resort bubble. Service was sharp, attentive without the fake enthusiasm that makes you want to punch someone. They didn't hover, but they didn't let your glass go dry either. Solid. The food? Here's where it gets real. Presentation was gorgeous those rolls and plates arrived looking like they belonged in a glossy magazine spread. The edamame? Bomb. Straight-up addictive, salty, popping with that fresh snap that makes you forgive a multitude of sins. But the sushi itself? It's on the sus side. Not terrible, not dangerous, just... not transcendent. Fresh enough for the setting, creative rolls with local fish nods, but the quality felt a half-step behind what the view demands. You can taste the compromise. Portions lean small, too classic resort move. And the prices? They hit you like a rogue wave. This place gouges hard. You're paying premium for the panorama, not the precision of the knife work. It's Cabo tax, pure and simple: beautiful location equals beautiful markup. If you're expecting Tokyo-level sushi, you'll leave disappointed and lighter in the wallet. Would I go back? Yeah, once. For drinks at sunset, maybe a couple of those killer edamame bowls, and let the view do the heavy lifting. Don't load up on rolls unless you're feeling flush and forgiving. It's not the best sushi in Cabo hell, it's not even close to the hidden gems but damn if the setting doesn't make it worth the pilgrimage. Four stars. One knocked off for the wallet-rape and the food that looks better than it tastes. The other three? Earned by that view, that service, and the simple joy of watching the sun bleed into the sea with a cold drink in hand. Worth it? For the experience, sure. Just don't pretend it's about the food. It's about the escape. And in that, it delivers.

Poor guy was working his tail off. The wait can get long at peak times. I'd occasionally see two bartenders. I think the management needs to do a better job at staffing. One needs to wait in line or needs to go through the wait staff just to get something simple like a bottle of water...which can get very annoying. The views from the deck are lovely, but seating is limited. Mostly on a first come basis. The wait staff was good, we did need to flag them down when they were busy. The lunch options were not good. Almost everything was bland. A bland lunch: ~ Mazatlan-Style Shrimp Ceviche - 3/5 Standard Shrimp Ceviche. I'm not sure what differentiates it and makes it Mazatlan-Style. ~ "Pueblo Bonito" Shrimp Cocktail - 3/5 The shrimp was good. Very tomato saucy cocktail. ~ Shrimp Baja Burrito - 3.5/5 This was the best thing I ate here during lunch. It was simple and tasty, albeit on the bland side when it came to flavor. ~ Shrimp Tacos - 3/5 I had better Shrimp, tacos back in Cali... Most definitely edible, but nothing special about these. The menu for dinner is different. That's when they serve Sushi. I didn't get a chance to check out the dinner menu, this review is only for lunch.
