Haircut- i wanted to get a trim, long layers, and face framing strands. I loved my haircut but it took much longer than i expected. I saw the reviews and people have said it took long so I made sure to have an ample amount of time, I was just starving haha. I appreciated the students for being so diligent and careful with the service. Instructors definitely knew what they were doing and checking the haircut. Would I come back? Yes i would. I lay down and basically the student put on the perm solution too early or did it poorly, no worries the instructor comes in and fixes it because they don't want to overprocess my lashes they don't leave it on that long that's fine. The student proceeds to do a poor hand massage and poor neck massage, that's fine, again learning. She then takes forever to clean up my eyes why because she applied the dye very poorly which required so much clean up that when I got up I still looked like a raccoon, that's fine, learning. I get up, my lashes didn't even curve. Not even a little bit. I'm upset obviously because I just spent 1.5 hours on this table to look EXACTLY THE SAME. The instructor comes in too explain what happened and again I get it but you didn't give me this explanation before I laid down? No disclaimers no nothing. She said okay my advisor isn't here but we want to make this right we want you to come in again and fix this. So NICOLE calls me this morning and is like I'm so sorry blah blah blah I was like okay I'll schedule my next appt, the instructor had mentioned complimentary. She's like no most we can do is 20% off, I was like alright please kindly leave me alone than.

I waited 2 months to see if I could do something else to style it with. I remembered that i used to go to a beauty college in arizona. When I lived there and they always did a good job with my hair. Taking their time along with the teachers. So I decided to give Paul Mitchell beauty college a try. And I was very happy with the student that actually listened to me along with her teacher and they cut my hair. The way it should have been in the first place. I was very pleased with the young lady. And I will also be going back there to get my hair colored. Their prices are so reasonable because they are a beauty college. So I highly recommend to go over there. If you want to get your hair done the proper way, then some of these other cheap places like super cuts. And great Clips, I really don't advise going to any of these places. They have raised their prices too high for what they don't do or listen. So I will give paul mitchell, a five star review, and I'll be going back there next month to get my hair colored.

My hair is not difficult, since it is straight and fine, and I simply wanted my pixie cut neatened up. Each student consults with their teacher before starting the haircut, and the student proposes what they plan to do in the teacher either approves or amends the plan. My student did a great job for about 90% of the cut; unfortunately, the part that didn't come out that great was around my face. She kept cutting one side to make it look a certain way, which was also getting the cut to be shorter and shorter and shorter... I finally had to forcibly tell her to stop cutting! She then asked her instructor to come over, and I expected the instructor to notice that my hair was uneven, but she didn't. At this point, I had been in the chair over 90 minutes and just wanted to get out of there. I went home, grabbed my scissors, and evened out the haircut myself. I probably would not go back here, no matter the circumstance

The students were kind and clearly trying their best while learning new skills. The salon did seem short on some supplies during my visit, and communication from management could have felt a little more welcoming. I did end up needing to have my hair and nails corrected elsewhere, which cost additional time and money, but I still appreciate the effort the students put into their work and understand they are still in training.

2 weeks ago I came to get my hair shampoo, condition, blow dry and flat iron. I was having issues…read morewith the student and blow drying my hair straight b4 flat ironing. She would not or did not know that you should blow dry straight down instead of all over my head. I went to a teach to explain she just told her to make it dry. Well I have curly hair and it needs to be sectioned or parted to blow dry straight then flat iron. I went again to the teacher. She never came over to help or instruct the student. If they do not do certain types of hair or if they do not take suggestions than they should tell the customer upfront. They won't and do not do all types of hair and won't help the students.
