Was rear ended last month. Had to deal with the other persons insurance. Originally a friend tried to get me to use his family member for the bodywork. He told me that it would take over a month to get the adjuster to come to the shop and then I would have to wait for the parts(possibly another 3 -4 weeks). I immediately called Impact (Vinny) as I had to use them in the past and had a great experience. They had me set up in a rental that day and the whole process only took a few weeks in total. We had a great experience here! My BMW was accidentally scratched by our landscapers. They recommended Vinny at Impact and his team to fix the scratch. The customer service, turn around time and repair work were all top notch. My husband was so worried they wouldn't be able to match the paint but Tom did a wonderful job. Best Body Work Ever! The moment you walk in, Vinny makes you feel at home. He's willing to work with you to get you what you need. He will take care of you like his own family and though you've just met, you'll feel like you're good friends. Geico's sent me to one of their Auto Repair XPress centers. I read terrible reviews so I called Geico and asked if I "had" to fix my car there. Would they get angry and make me feel uncomfortable if I received an estimate and left. Geico told me Yes, most probably. So I just took my car to a regular bodyshop to get estimated by a Geico Rep. My car (Acura TSX) was hit by the Hailstorm in Long Island, there was extensive damage, thousands of dings - some of which were pretty deep. Upon seeing a co-worker/friends Honda S2000 fixed at Impact, I immediately took my car in for a re-estimate. Vinny took care of everything, he had the Geico Rep there to perform a re-estimate and got the $ to fix everything right. He repaired... replaced... and detailed my car, leaving it looking - essentially, brand new! Even old small scuffs and scratches were buffed out. Oh, and the best part is Vinny will work with you, whatever you need - time, work done, pick-up. He'll even try to whittle your rental payment down for you. AND he won't take your car just to have it sit in the lot, he'll call you in when he's ready and have it out when he say's he will. My car took 2 weeks to repair. My co-workers waited an avg of 5-6 weeks for theirs (same work or less). If you ever need any type of bodywork done, go to Impact - you won't regret it. It takes me an hour+ to get there but it's worth every minute. I was always nervous because I had no where to go for Auto Bodywork. Now my mind is at ease and I have a safe place to go. And there's a little gift in your car when you leave - a bottle of touch-up paint, Sweet! read more

This place is great. Vinny and liz were great with updating me, Liz even helped me move my beach chairs out of the car. They did the work as quickly as possible and were super nice, not commonly found in auto body shops. This place was such a great experience for me! I have been here twice and they truly do help take some of the weight from these ordeals. They really genuinely care about their customers. I had a bittersweet pleasure of finding this company after a terrible accident and a horrible experience with Bangs towing. I don't know who their mechanic was that night but he was very very rude and nasty that I decided to take my car to Impact Collision and I don't regret it. Had a minor incident with another cars bumper on my wifes R350. Vinny took care of everything professionally. Very good vibe coming from the shop unlike other places I went to for estimates. Place is kept clean and office manager is very courteous. The job was done nicely. Bumper removed and painted to match. On time as promised and quick. Car was detailed upon delivery. I have nothing but good things to say about Impact Collision. They worked with me and the insurance company to make sure everything was covered and returned my car with a brand new trunk and bumper. They did an excellent job painting to match my car. The staff is very friendly and they do great work. The comfortable chairs in the waiting area were a nice touch, although I didn't have to wait very long both delivering my car and picking it up. Best Service & Best Work Ever! When I mean service...I mean service! Vinny, the owner, has become a friend to not only me, but to my entire family. I met Vinny in Montauk while on vacation from California. He explained that he owned an auto body shop in Amityville. No sooner did he tell me this then my 80 year old father almost totaled his car in Montauk. Anyone who knows Montauk knows that there are very few reliable auto body shops that far out. I called Vinny and asked him what to do. He made arrangements to 1) pick up the car in Montauk 2) deliver a rental car to my dad 3) get an estimate, meet with the insurance adjuster & repair the car 4) deliver the car out to Montauk! Vinny is honest, trustworthy and dependable. His work is excellent. He made great customers out of us, as either my dad or mom have bumped and bruised various cars several times since. Vinny always grabs the car from Montauk, and delivers it again....in PERFECT shape! He has saved us countless hours, stress and money. No one is better on LI then Vinny! Let me start by saying that this is my first Yelp review. I had such a good experience that I felt compelled to give these guys proper kudos. I just got my car back from Impact Collision after having repair work done on my front bumper and grill. I couldn't be happier with the service provided by Vinny, the owner, and his team. I normally hate dealing with car stuff. Every time I've needed bodywork in the past end up feeling ripped-off, and given the run-around costing me a lot of time and money. I am so relieved I now have a go-to place I can trust will treat me fairly and will complete the work efficiently. Vinny handled everything from meeting with the insurance/damage adjuster, arranging my rental, and even arranging my inspection renewal. When I got my car back it was in great condition and spotless! Cleaner than it has been since I first got it (which was a nice touch). Vinny followed up to make sure everything was in working order. After the repairs were completed I realized I had forgotten to mention my horn hadn't been working for a while. I called Vinny to see if he could take a look and he immediately told me to bring the car down that afternoon. He ordered a new horn and had it fixed the very next day (during my lunch hour, took only half hour). Dawn the manager is lovely and helpful as well. From what I can tell, everyone at Impact enjoys working together and I got such a pleasant and friendly vibe each time I was there. Vinny is super down-to-earth and straightforward, and he truly went above and beyond. He ended up replacing my horn free of charge- I couldn't believe it. I'm so used to body shops trying to get every last penny they can out of their customers. Clearly not the case here.
