The food is surprisingly good in options, flavor, and execution. The physical therapy group is outstanding! Excellent physical and occupational therapy provided during my husband's recovery. It is still a skilled nursing facility not a resort but for quality care and above average experience it is great. The only drawback is the lack of visitor parking. There are literally only a dozen spaces in the property.

Being my first time in treatment, I didn't know what to expect or what I had committed myself to but, Lighthouse was there for me every step of the way. From detox to completion of treatment, I received nothing but love, support and respect being as broken as I was. They treated me with compassion, understanding and operated within God's grace while taking care of me every step of the way. Through their help and programming, I was able to not just rehabilitate my health. They helped to rehabilitate my mind. They were able to do for me in 3 months what I was incapable of doing for myself. Because of Lighthouse, I have my life back. My marriage is back on track, my kids have their father back but most importantly I restored my relationship with God during my stay. I couldn't have done this without their help or support. I was failing on my own. Lighthouse made it so that I was able to focus on healing myself from the inside out. Thank you so much for church, gym, yoga, offsite meetings and all the extras like game night and movie night. It was the first time I had done (or was able to do) any of those things sober in YEARS. Thank you so much for the clinical groups, motivational speakers and panels. It opened my eyes to a difference in perspective and understanding when it came to addiction and how much people need to be loved. Truly humbling. The lack of care he received there was unacceptable and honestly was neglect. Needless to say, I reported them to the State. This facility was recommended by a Doctor who oversaw my uncle's care at Orange County Global Hospital. I was very hesitant because of the 1st SNF, however, after my first visit at OHWC, I had hope. My uncle left the 1st facility needing an oxygen tank and barely able to walk, in a matter of weeks, my uncle was walking on his own with little assistance and was a completely different person. I honestly thought he was never coming home again. Dr. V oversaw my uncle's care and made an effort to communicate with me 2-3x each week with updates on my uncle. He was amazing at what he did, helped my uncle with his complicated diabetes and found a combination of meds that worked to help stabilize his sugar levels. He always checked in with my uncle despite the language barrier and my uncle became fond of him. He is very genuine and the you get a sense of how much he cares about his patients which you don't see to often nowadays with the workload. I've had to interact with my doctors and nurses over the last 5 months and Dr. V has been the doctor that stood out the most. I couldn't have asked for a better doctor to have oversee my uncle's care. Thank you Dr. V. I hope that there are more doctors like you. Like any place, there were some issues along the way, but what stood out most was how promptly and effectively they handled everything. Every issue was addressed and resolved in a timely and caring manner, and my dad's needs were always their top priority. From the nurses and physical therapists to the staff who assisted with meals, bathing, and medication, every single person played an important role in my dad's recovery. Their teamwork and dedication made such a difference. Most recent, Jasmine J. went out of her way today, since I had already called before, to make sure I was able to speak to my mom on a facility roam phone. She even helped her turn it for facetime. The whole staff is good about communicating all details -- medication changes, asking permission for bed changes, any change in her weight, diet, etc. Ivy, the Dir. of Nursing, made sure my mom got her cork board in her room to pin up her photos and greeting cards. My mom was delighted! Joanna, Soc.Svcs., attended to all details of her 93rd birthday, items I sent to mom beforehand and helping serve the Susie Cakes I sent for friends and staff. Everyone was wonderful to her that day. Balloons, Birthday Sash, helped with the wrist corsage and helped run it down when it went missing. Everyone there, the whole staff, in the Dining Room and CNAs, LVNs, etc., made her feel very special. Assistant Nursing Director Krysta was very helpful in getting mom's xrays and for helping set up the dr. appointment. When I have input and concerns about mom's medications, etc., I find the nurses on the phone to take the time to have real conversation with me. There are a couple of special nurses (LVNs?) Mark, Nico that are very good to mom. A CNA Nella (?). People treat her with care. Being so far away, I tend to check in a lot, and everyone is helpful in getting me connected. Jasmine J at the front desk fields all calls and is helpful in running people down to connect me. That is a difficult job. Mom's laundry (marked with hr name) goes missing often enough, and Joanna has been helpful to find it. Marlene of Soc.Svcs, Maria in the Business Office, and, again, Jasmine J. manning the front desk are some people I can think. The Dir of Phys. Therapy Noondita listens carefully to family and follows through to see that mom's PT is appropriate for her abilities. There is also Eric the PT who usually takes my mom and I find them observant and honest about her condition. I just love this department. I will edit this post if I think of someone else. The Dr. Farhouki for the facility is sadly always in absentia, both at Adv.Rehab and Foothill Reg.
