Sue is very helpful - she always helps me pick the right colors and I get lots of compliments. She definitely knows my taste! She also gives me some advice to keep the nails in good shape, which is very educational. She is funny and doesn't make me bored. This dip powder base is used for everyone's nail which proved they don't sanitize anything between customers. Gel/dip powder should last at least 2-weeks. But no...at $55 a pop lasting 3-4 days is a hell no anymore. Don't even cut your cuticles or do anything to make sure the nail bed is ready for the application. What happened to getting a real manicure before you start applying any product. Oh yeah that must costs another $20! Smdh Cherish get your game up because I will never set foot in this establishment ever again! My nails were growing at first, but after continuously coming here my nails have gotten weaker and weaker and all have broken off! I would rather pay $100 on BIAB and don't have to worry about my nails for a month. $55 a pop every 2 weeks is a money grab! Last experience was with Nancy and I was well impressed so decided to book with her again since Kim was still not back. I booked my appointment for 1pm and arrived at 109pm due to slight traffic and rain. Upon arrival I was told by Cindy that I am late so Nancy is servicing a walk in who was sitting there waiting. I asked ...is there not a grace period? They then proceeded to speak their native tongue and asked me if someone else could do my pedi. I said no, as I had specifically requested Nancy. The walk in should have been passed down, not the scheduled appointment. This is where I saw professionalism and customer service are not valued at this establishment. Cindy the owner then proceeded to speak saying I did not call and thought I was not coming. Note: the entire time she did not make eye contact she kept her head down doing nails. As if she was talking to a child. I then said I was 9 mins late, most businesses have a grace period...she then started speaking her native tongue again. Then told me I had to wait. When I called, I specifically mentioned I would be coming on my lunch break, so to ask me to wait was insensitive and a bad judgment call. They paint each nail with precision, I NEVER have clumps of gel polish in my cuticles, they always fix little things immediately, and are just as particular as I would be with my own nails. The polish they use is supplied by the big nail salon surplus store around the corner so I know it's all local businesses were supporting. Which to me means paying for ballet lessons and soccer practice rather than the alternative big corporate. The place isn't new or bougie or super frufru fancy! But it's down home, good people.
