At first glance the area is sketchy and the interior was pretty eclectic. There is an old torn up pool table sitting off to the side boxes of fortune cookies just sitting out in the open. The furniture is dated, paint peeling off, etc. Old restaurant equipment was shoved off the the side... Clearly decor is NOT their thing! BUT THE FOOD IS!! It was absolutely delicious ! Service? Also Incredible !!! The service (Christmas day evening) was amazing! They were running non stop! The wait staff and the kitchen Staff were working together to keep up with the ridiculous rush! This is hands down the best Chinese restaurant we have found for takeout in this area. The mee fun is hot and fresh, the kung pao tofu is spicy and delicious and the spring rolls, so good! It is a good balance of tasty and portion size. I will begin with the initial call. A young woman answered the phone and she could not have been more than 17 years old, I swear. She was rude and catty and acted as if she was not to be bothered by my pesky food order. I had to give her all of my information....wait for it.....six times because she got frustrated that she could not understand me...........she could not understand me............so she runs my card and then hangs up on me. No goodbye or ETA or anything. I waited for my food for an hour before I finally called back and asked where the delivery man was. Well she gets upset and calls her mother to the phone, whom I never spoke to, yelling in my ear as she does so and then tells me he left 20 minutes prior to my call. I replied, "ok..well do you have the right address because I live 5 miles away from the business." She then repeats my address and says, "It's a big rain outside..he is bringing it." and then she hung up the phone. As her life flashed before my eyes I thought about going down to the restaurant and choking someone, but that would get me arrested. I decided to be a grown man and wait on him to show up. I waited another 35 minutes before I decided to call back and cancel the order and I was hung up on AGAIN! I called back and told her not to hang up the phone until I said goodbye. I was very proud of myself because I did not even curse....even after she told me it would take four to five days for the money to go back into my account. The deliver guy showed up 30 minutes after that and after I had already left to go and get food. He asked me to come to the door because my order was there............ Lesson Learned: Do not order from those who shove flyers as far into your door as they can. read more

This is my absolute favorite Chinese place. The family that runs the place is so kind, and they really treat you like family! I absolutely LOVE all their tofu dishes (especially their home style tofu), and I have had nothing but AMAZING experiences here. They stuck a flyer on my door and since there aren't any other Chinese delivery restaurants that service my neighborhood, I though I would give them a try. We ordered shrimp fried rice, a kids sweet and sour chicken meal and egg rolls. I'll start with the food. The fried rice was horrible. Even though this is the first Chinese restaurant that I have found that has egg in the rice, the rice tasted like it was old, dry and burnt. It was also engulfed in soy sauce. The egg rolls were small but surprisingly good. The sweet and sour chicken wasn't bad. The only thing I didn't like was it had a lot of grease trapped in it. I paid for the order with a credit card over the phone and when the driver showed up, he had a machine receipt to sign and he took a carbon copy of my card. I was instructed to fill out both and sign them. I was and still am a little confused to why they needed both. I do know feel the need to monitor my account for fraudulent activity just in case. Overall, the food wasn't bad but I don't think I'll be ordering from them again. I expected better from the fried rice and since that is all I really like to eat, this just isn't the restaurant for me. read more

The otder which was 5 miles away, took them 1 hour and half till deliver two dinners - totalling $24.15. I even had to call back 3 times after an hour and after nothing happened for the second call. Finally when i called based on the order was made on credit card, the said okay, and they came in 5 minutes. Then when I asked if I can have something else next time, they told me house special fried rice. I called and orderd it to me about day later they said $3.00. So, I'm still trying to figure this place out. A flyer was put on my door. They delivered so I took the bait. My first order with them was lemon pepper wings and house fried rice. The wings were good. The rice was a pleasant surprise. The house fried rice is full of large shrimp, beef, pork , fried egg, onion, peas and carrots. I can do without he peas and carrots but that's my personal choice. It taste good and I have yet to find a better house friend in the area. I've been in the area for about 6 months so I'm open to discovering other places with better food . My second order with them on a different occasion was the house friend rice and general tso chicken. Both were really good. I actually went in to the restaurant this time. Let me tell you, the restaurant is nothing to rave about. There are ample table and chairs for those who want to dine in. They also have a section where they sell random things like car phone chargers, DVD players and maybe packs of hair too. Who knows! They also have a free pool table. While the inside of the restaurant was clean and neat and I was greeted warmly by the adult members of the staff, the shopping center where the restaurant is located is a little suspect. There is a very young girl taking orders at the front (probably 9-10 years old) and as a previous review stated she is not very attentive. But she is after all a kid. Perhaps her parents don't realize how culturally taboo it can be to have a child talk to an adult with a lack of respect, no matter how unintentional it may be. Plus I felt weird handing my debit card to a child for her to swipe while simultaneously playing a game on a tablet and yelling at her little brother about whose turn it is . My contact with an adult women (presumably the girl's mom) was very pleasant though. I'm still making up my mind as to if this is my chosen neighborhood Chinese restaurant. Of course there are many other fancier places that may be better but for that quick meal to pick up on the way home on Friday night...I'm still deciding if Imperial makes the cut. . read more

If you're looking for a place to get the worst chinese food you've ever had look no further! My family and I ordered from here last night and the experience was quite comedic.We were confused on what was on the menu and had to listen to the lady repeat every chicken option available to us without interruption. We had to confirm our order 3 times with the lady over the phone. The delivery guy came on time, which is the only good thing that happened. After receiving the money he looked at us and said "no extra?". We get inside, open our food and realized we've made a huge mistake by ordering from Imperial China. I ordered the almond chicken with sauce on the side. Instead of true almond sauce, I received egg foo young sauce with almond slices in it. We ordered scallops that were the same consistency as chewing gum, and chicken wing that had some kind of tan substance fried onto it. We all agreed it was the worst chinese we've ever had. 2 out of 4 of us had a stomachaches the next day. The food was barely edible, it was like we were given scraps. read more
