Food is outstanding. Service is great. Ambiance is great for relaxing and enjoying the meal.

I got the honey shrimp lo mein noodles egg roll the honey shrimp was overcooked and had very to know shrimp and most of the pieces the lo mein noodles were drowned in soy sauce the egg rolls were overcooked I took the hoodie shrimp back and expressed that there wasn't hardly any shrimp and any of them and some had no shrimp in them they would not remake it or refund my money cuz she said I ate some of it well how am I going to know it's any good if I don't eat some of it they were not willing to compensate me or redo the order I told him I probably will not be eating here again and wouldn't be recommending this place they were very rude and I guess don't care for $15 that they're losing my business forever because I also have ordered many times for parties and have spent quite a bit I'm very disappointed that the restaurant has severely declined because I used to really love the place so I would not recommend this restaurant to others I don't even know how they got a 3.5 reading read more

This is a fine family owned restaurant. The food is very good to excellent. The only item we do not order is the fried rice as it is bland and always has a lot of raw onions. The seafood trio is wow! During a power outage several years ago we ate there. Food was ok, but there was a problem with my mother-in-law food, she ordered from the menu not the buffet, I explained to the owner what was wrong, she acted like she didn't care, we have not returned. Friends tells us it's getting dirty and needs a remodel, But, the buffet was always good when I visited there. Hope she remodels it soon read more

Inedible! It was like they got there food out of the frozen food section at the grocery store. The sweet and sour pork looked and tasted like balls of dough. No onion, peppers or pineapple. Just sauce on the side. The egg rolls and dumplings were worse than anything you could buy at the grocery store. I like to see businesses succeed and don't like to bash any one trying to make a living but I laid out $25.00 for food we ended up tossing in the trash. read more

Sometimes it was really good, other times it was really bad. The Bad: I've been charged dinner price at lunch time, ordered meat dishes that taste like they were made last week. Very good Chinese buffet, when we arrived there was not much food out, but they added fresh food once we got there. Hot and sour soup is very tasty and I loved the egg rolls and crab Rangoon. Buffet is clean and well kept up. Family is Chinese so the owners don't seem to speak much English but the girl who waited on us did and she was very pleasant. New in town and wanted something quick for a move-in-day dinner. Ordered General Tso and Beef Broccoli combinations. The beef was so gross I wouldn't feed it to a rat. I took one bite of the slime and had to spit it out. The chicken wasn't as bad, but one of the breaded pieces had sand or dirt in it. The fried rice was passable, but the egg rolls were pretty sub-par. I will NEVER go back and you should think twice. I'm hoping beyond hope that I don't get sick. read more

For a town the size of Mason it always strikes me as odd that there are 3 Chinese restaurants. But I guess that gives us a choice eh? And Imperial Gardens is always our choice. We always order to go, usually my wife will order something off the menu and I will just get a buffet to go. Word of warning. Don't go for the buffet between 4:00 and about 5:30, it's been sitting there since lunch and looking pretty sad. But the food off the menu is always very good, and you get lots. I really enjoy the dinner buffet and if you go at the right time the food is hot and excellent. Prices are decent, and always go back. read more

Finally tried their buffet! Their selection isn't crazy great (but I'm speaking from being used to some mega buffets out in LA), but their food IS really good! Definitely worth the price (especially for lunch!) read more

I was torn between 2 and 3 stars. This is cheap Chinese food with all that entails but it's not particularly bad cheap Chinese food. The buffet is less than 6 bucks and a soda with free refills is less than a buck. Where else are you going to find that? read more

My Daughter and Son-in-Law took me out to the Imperial Gardens Restaurant in Downtown Mason last Sunday. We had never been there before, but decided to give it a try. We arrived shortly after their opening and were pleasantly surprised. Friendly management/staff, dining and buffet areas very clean, and food was delicious. By the time we had finished, several groups of diners had arrived, and all seemed to be regulars who were familiar with the staff and the buffet. Very pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. We tried this as take out for the first time. I loved the fact that I could order on line, that is always a plus. We ordered General Tso's, Sesame Chicken, Cashew Chicken, and Orange Chicken. Our favorite was the Sesame and Orange. Usually General Tso's is my favorite anywhere, but it could have used a little more spice. For the price, the amount of food, and the quality of food we were really happy. For what it is, we were pleased. read more

Looking for a new Chinese place, not too impressed. Food was not Chinese I'm use to, could not really eat. Plus side, because I ordered over $30 I get something free. The pepper steak, what can I say, it had a lot of peppers and onions with meat that look like it went through a grind- funny texture. The fried rice had a weird taste. Egg rolls-fair. Son put it this way, "the white rice was at least good." That about sums it up, you like white rice this is the place to eat. Staff was friendly. read more
