Amazing food, very Fresh and generous portions! Served quick and easy. Place is very clean aswell!

We went the Wednesday night before Thanksgiving around 6:00 PM. We called on the way over to see if the buffet was open and she said it was. When we arrived, however, the buffet was empty. She said more food would be coming, but it would take a few minutes. My girlfriend was hungry and angry, but to their credit they did get most of the dishes replenished within 10 minutes. Unfortunately, by the time we went up for seconds the buffet was practically empty once again. The food wasn't cold, but it wasn't hot either. "Warm" is a good descriptor, but warm turns cool rather quickly. The price wasn't bad at $8.75, but more hot food (just what pretty much anyone would expect walking up to a buffet) would improve this rating to at least four stars. read more

First things first the place was kinda run down with a cover over the drink dispenser and the buffet itself was used as storage, mind you this is what you see when you first walk in. We seat ourselves and we're the only ones in there and service was decent however when we got our drinks we got canned sodas and water bottles. The food is where this place doesn't shine and it's supposed to be a restauran, we got served some of the best crab ragoons I will give them that but the main course was god awful where they served us really bad tasting lo mein, spicy like buffalo hot sause orange chicken, and the seafood plattee was just terrifying to even look at let alone try to eat, it looked like bodily fluids and had the consistency of such I was disgusted. I paid full price because I just wanted to get out as quick as possible and obviously I won't ever be coming back even if this was the last place on earth. Just had pick up from Garden Lee and I am amazed at what a fantastic experience it was and how good the food was. They had this door set up that opened from both sides, thus keeping distance and everyone as safe as possible. Great idea! Here is where is gets crazy........the food quality was out of this world. We just ordered take out from PF Chang's a week ago and we were disappointed but understood it given the situation. Garden Lee was awesome! I think it was the best meal I have ever had from the place and I'm a frequent flyer. The dumplings, hot & sour soup were great as usual. The Hunan chicken (extra hot) was as fas I have ever had. The chicken and peapods (also spicy) were fantastic. Garden Lee is offering terrific meals at a good price very safely. Great job! Thank you. read more

Absolutely delicious! We love the food here. The people are super friendly. We normally order it to go, but the buffet is also lovely. If they are running low on any items, they will make you anything you ask for. Things we love: egg rolls, orange chicken, sesame chicken, sweet n spit chicken, beef broccoli, etc. We like to go there for dinner on Christmas Day, as well. read more

Reasonable prices, buffet food is great when it's fresh but at times is out to long, place is clean but could use a renovation with updated decor, the wife of the owner is very nice and friendly. read more

Kid who was working there was very unprofessional. Insulted me for wearing a MSU hat and said that the restaurant was a UofM establishment. I am not making this up, I assure you. Called back to complain to owner, but apparently the owners don't understand enough English to understand complaints as this same punk had to be the interpreter. Cheap and quick Chinese buffet food. If you talk to the owner Sarah and get to know her, she is very friendly. To say their accents are fake is a dick move, it is clearly not an act. They have awesome veggie lo mein, Mongolian beef, egg rolls, and crab Rangoon's. Try everything else though and figure out your favorites! Just like any place, you should watch your tickets to make sure it is correct. The food is good and is rotated whenever I am there. Ordering out is also very simple and quick. The portions are huge. I was craving Chinese food & my husband was craving a Jersey Giant Sub. Since they are in the same shopping center, it was a win win. I got a look at the buffet and wish that I was eating in because I would have destroyed the food that was available. They were all really nice. read more

I like this place and the owners are friendly. Do not come at the posted opening time though--they usually are running 1/2 hour late opening then another 1/2 hr to cook. Best time to come is about 12:30-1p. read more

I hated this restaurant!!! I sat down and it was more important to wait on the table with more people at it. I waited 10 minutes before she even waited on me and then I got a drink I did the buffet, $6.10, what a deal!!! I hated the egg roll, the fish, one side dish I couldn't even chew this big piece of meat, tough, nothing tasted good. The egg roll was even soggy and tasted awful. When I left the restaurant my stomach felt funny and I thought I was going to get sick in my car. I will never go back here again and do not recommend that you do either. Take some advice from the restaurant in Mount Pleasant, China Garden. now there is a restaurant with good food, not saying it is a fancy restaurant but the give a shit about the quality of their food!!!! read more

The WORST Chinese place I've ever been to. The woman who answers the phone and works the front counter is always rude. One of the first times I ate there I had the General Taos chicken, fried rice, an egg roll and hot and sour soup. The chicken was undercooked, the egg roll tasted old and the meat in the hot and sour soup was not completely cooked either. I just threw it out because I had heard that this restaurant was notorious for being rude to anyone who had any kind of complaint. A few months later I decided to give it another chance because I like supporting small businesses and I just figured I'd order something that wasn't chicken. I called the restaurant for takeout and the woman answered the phone then proceeded to hang up on me after I said I'd like to place an order for takeout. The restaurant is only a few minutes away, so I went in to talk to the owner. It turns out the lady working the front is one of the owners. I told her I had just tried to order over the phone and that I got hung up on, she then said "Okay then, what would you like?"... I said that I wanted the General Taos beef and I asked if that came with rice. She said that it did not, even though it clearly said on the menu that it came with white rice. I said that I didn't understand why it costs over 8 dollars if it didn't come with rice at all. She then told me that the beef was a dollar more and that it did not come with rice. I asked why it was going to cost a dollar more when the menu said General Taos chicken OR beef - 8.35. She just kept telling me that beef was more even though it was not printed on the menu. I then told her that I was ordering beef because they served me raw chicken the last time I ate there. She only said "So you don't want chicken then?"... Needless to say, I left the restaurant without ordering anything. read more
