The lead guy suggested we can continue to enjoy the pool as it was a gorgeous pool day and said it was no problem for them to come later in the afternoon. When they failed to show up I contacted Gardner who was as rude as I ever heard him not only to me but to my wife as well, denying his employee ever said that, and as a result of the delay he was not able to come till 3 weeks later. My wife who usually never get involved with contractors simply could not bear to be subjected to his abuse and grabbed the phone to verify what we both heard earlier from his lead guy, after all if we were led to realize that it would have delayed the closing by 3 weeks we clearly would have got out of the pool and let them close it. Gardner's vulgar voice overpowered my wife's and he eventually hung up on us. What an incredible customer service oriented act. Needless to say I regarded this incident as the last encounter with this company. In short to sum things up, I strongly advise anyone to refrain from subjecting yourselves to this horrible abuse. Stay away from doing business with Gardner and LGB.

I really appreciate being able to depend on the guys at LGB to help me out when I call with a problem. It was all common sense being that they are digging a massive hole in my yard. Safety was always first, they used a heavy grade temporary fencing around the pool until the project was finished. During construction they went over settling and why they won't be back for awhile, again common sense. If it didn't settle my pavers would sink within a year. When completed Ralph did what he calls pool school and went over everything and made sure I understood. Jose is an exceptional service guy he had to come out for my railing and pool cover. Everyone is the North Branford store goes above and beyond for you. I dont use them for service, I open and close the pool. I do get my products for them and have my water tested. I have tried other products from cheaper stores, not the same. My pool looks great with there products. Overall a great company to do business with.

They are always friendly, professional, polite, good at explaining what is going on, and if they don't have what I need (again, older pool set-up), they order it for me. And they don't assume I am made out of money! I've always been offered a spectrum of options of how to deal with problems affordably, explaining the pros and cons of each approach. Old-fashioned customer service at its best...I am so glad I found them!

I'm writing this negative review of All American pools so all potential customers know exactly what…read moreto expect if you decide to work with this company. It is also important to note that the experiences I will online below has occurred; even though we have a relationship with someone who is familiar with the ownership of the company. Last year my wife and I spent almost $30,000 with All American pools. Some of the work completed included: plumbing all of our pool and spa equipment including installation of all control values for the automation system, re-plastering our pool and spa, and replacing coping around the pool. Additionally, all of the existing plumbing was pressure tested and the integrity was verified. At the completion of this work, we also decided to use All American to close our swimming pool due to their familiarity with our swimming pol and spa. This was a huge mistake. The team (headed up by Eric) that came out to close the swimming pool failed to do it properly, and as a result early in the spring we found damage to the spa plumbing and a value was completely cracked off. This occurred because winterizing plugs were not inserted into the spa returns. All American came out to fix this at no cost but failed to pressure test any of the other swimming pool lines for further damage. Early in the summer when we finally began to run the pool normally, we noticed a precipitous loss of water in the swimming pool. Feeling the loss of pool water may be related to the spa-plumbing incident, we had All American come out to evaluate. The process of determining the source of the water loss, took more than two weeks and three separate visits. Although All American would like to claim that it took this long due to the time of the year, perhaps the job could have been completed more quickly had the technician (Rick) brought the appropriate equipment and had his pressure testing equipment actually held a constant pressure. To finally get the lines pressure tested, I had to lend the technician my air compressor and several other tools to use. At that point the damage was finally isolated to the main drains which are now a total loss. Less than one year after completing our swimming pool and spa work with All American pool our main drains will never be usable again. After we learned the extent of the damage, we sought a second opinion and the damage was confirmed. Additionally in conversation the most likely reason the main drain is no loner usable is either due to the failure to close the pool properly or some other issue associated with the installation of the pool equipment valves. Just for clarification, All American pools completed both the closing and plumbing. SO what was the response from All American? They have charged us more than $1000 for the visits, told us we should be happy that we found out why the pool is losing water, and told us the water loss is simply not their fault. Now they would like to say they did not put in the original plumbing, which is true, but they DID pressure test all of the lines and verify the integrity. What is more likely, that the failure to winterize the pool properly lead to the damage or the pre-existing plumbing mysteriously failed even though it was tested thoroughly? My wife and I are reasonable people and considering what it would take to re-plumb the main drains, we would not have asked All American to do that. It would have been nice however for them to accept some responsibility and perhaps waive the fees for evaluating our pool or installing a cleaner to help circulate water now that the main drains are not working. Instead they are walking away and demanding another $1000. I am not sure where we are going from here, but If you want someone who will stand by their workmanship whether it be opening, closing, or renovating your pool DO NOT use All American pools because clearly they do not.
