New info. We found that GM took out the 8 month old Ford battery that would have been under warranty and replaced it with a cheap wimpy battery. This truck has a ton of computers in it and needs major power. We wondered why the truck wouldn't perform as expected. We took it in to Ford and found the cheap battery. I have no idea why they changed it but it would have been under warranty. Now, it's over $200 to get the proper battery for the truck. It took close to 4 months to get our registration. We had to get the Comptroller, General Manager and DMV involved to fix the mistakes made when it was submitted. They don't seem to care about customers as I've never heard from them. We always had to chase them down to fix their problems. That's not how I want to be treated when I buy a vehicle. I would never recommend them. Original Yelp My husband has been looking in town for a truck. We looked at Ford, Dodge but needed a smaller truck than they had. Yesterday, we went to Imperial Valley Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac to see what they had in stock. I wasn't thrilled as I had problems with a Chevy truck I had in the past-but he was just looking. They are outside of town, on Wake St., which is on the opposite side of town from the other dealers. So far they seemed good 5 stars. We were helped by Jonathan who worked hard to help us find a truck that fit the long list of requirements that my husband needed. He saw a 2017 Ford Lariat that seemed to fit the bill and we took it on a test drive. Hubs decided it was what he wanted so we went to the price phase. They went back in forth in the dance on deciding on how much the truck could be reduced and what our trade in was worth (always a shock to see what I still think of as a fairly new car is worth). But it's a game what can be raised or lowered. They came to an agreement a bit higher than we were hoping. But, probably, 4 stars. We went to dinner next door while the paperwork was being created then returned to go into Finance with Ruben, the closer. We didn't feel the same good service from Ruben. He seemed to not be as concerned about the customer as we expected. This started to lower my rating from the time we entered his office. We have purchased many vehicles before and we have had better service in Finance from other dealerships. California does has a ton of paperwork to ensure all is known. Only after most of the paperwork is signed that it is disclosed to us that it was a rental. And the way Ruben said it sounded to me like he was trying to slide it in. And it was only when we signed the Carfax that he said it. I wonder if that is why they never brought out the Carfax when I asked earlier. I feel that have been disclosed earlier! They showed one of the papers (Buyer's Guide) in the window with a red faded stamp that was so faded, we never saw it. But they put the good stuff in large, bold print. Yes-Buyer Beware but since it is required by the Federal Trade Commission to be on the sticker, it should also be required to be READABLE. It felt like dishonest dealing. This would have changed our deal. I felt like I couldn't trust anything they said about the vehicle now. I was not happy and only discussion with my husband made me continue with the deal. I would have expected the notice to be not easily seen. We also had to sign our credit scores, which surprised us since we weren't financing it. We were never told this would be done. They definitely need to improve their disclosure of information to the customer. I'm not sure what else I will do about this problem. I was not happy when I left-which isn't a good thing when someone buys a vehicle. Jonathan was good during the sale and has taken good care of us afterward to finish one repair needed. I wish he would have known about the previous rental though. He is the only reason I am rating it as high as I did. Finance dropped it way down. I would not recommend Imperial Valley Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac. They don't seem to care about customers as I've never heard from them. That's not how I want to be treated when I buy a vehicle.

Upgraded our truck from a 2021 custom to a 2023 RST Z71, our sales rep Susan Zavala was amazing , very kind and understanding, got us the best deal possible and fought for what we needed. Highly recommend asking for her if you are looking at purchasing a new or used vehicle

I have to admit that some of the previous reviews did scared me a bit but I'm also big on supporting businesses outside major metropolitan areas. I worked with Jose Chavez and we came to an agreed price. I reside 200 miles away so I wanted to start the paperwork earlier and sent my documents over to Mr. Chavez ahead of time. Then we made an appointment for me to travel there. Upon arrival, we went directly to finance and signed the paperwork. Everything was finalized and I was out with the new car in under 45 minutes. Could not have been a smoother experience. My advice to reader would be to start the documents as soon as possible especially if you're not local. Mr. Chavez was a pleasure to deal with and his professionalism is a model for all car dealers.

At one point, he asked to take a photo of my bank account showing my payoff amount using his personal phone, which immediately raised serious privacy concerns. When it became clear that no deal would be made, I asked him to delete the photo. He claimed he already had but refused to show me proof. Because of this, I had to involve his manager to ensure the photo was actually deleted. Once negotiations officially ended, Abraham's demeanor changed completely and became even more unprofessional. The entire experience felt invasive, disrespectful, and concerning from a customer privacy standpoint. Based on this experience, I do not recommend this place. Another terrible review for this dealership. They contacted ME because I have a leased Santa Fe and…read moremy lease was coming to an end. They wanted to get me into a new lease. Great! I want to be in a new lease for a new Santa Fe. There should be no problem, right? Well, I explained that one contingency would be that I have one car too many. So what I would like to do is sell them my Kia, turn in my old Santa Fe, and lease a new one. A little bit complex, but still not a big deal and they seemed amenable to this. The first person i dealt with collected a bunch of information. Had me send pictures of all the cars Vin numbers, blah blah blah, which I did. But after two weeks, we did not have any numbers. The whole thing became ridiculous. And they wanted me to run a credit check etc without giving me any sort of numbers to work with numbers like how much they were going to pay me for my existing car, and how much they were going to charge me as a base Price to calculate the new lease. I don't know about you, but if I'm selling a car, I want somebody to tell me how much they're going to pay for it . Similarly if I am going to buy a car. I want them to tell me the Price. They are going to charge me for the car itself (I was not asking for the monthly payment, rather the price of the new car). Well, when we finally spoke on the phone, some sales person hung up on me. When I told him that if they couldn't provide me this information, there was no need for me to run a credit check because I need numbers to work with to evaluate whether or not. I'm getting a good deal. But, the guy hung up on me. I sent a letter to the parent company and all the presidents, BP, etc. Somebody called back from the dealership and we're very apologetic Another flurry of texts went by. However, they would not tell me how much they were planning on paying for my Kia. Nor what they tell me how much they were charging me for the new Santa Fe. I suspect it's because they did not want to give me that information. Of course that's information that I would need to determine whether or not I was making a good deal for myself. I mean maybe they were going to pay me a couple grand less than Carmax. Maybe they were gonna try and charge me sticker Price or above. I don't know and I will never know because they absolutely refused to give me those two pieces of information. What they wanted to do was give me a deal and tell me what my monthly cost would be. But that's not a very good basis for evaluation. If you can't tell me what you're gonna pay me for my car and how much I am going to pay for a new vehicle, you're probably not creating a deal. That's in my best interest. These are bits of information that anybody has a right to know. Oh, and did I mention that this all took place over literally dozens texts over the course of three weeks? What a scammy way to do business. Anybody who won't give you the specifics about a transaction and Tells you just to "trust" them, that you will be satisfied with the deal is not booking out for your best interests. I don't think anybody in this company or their parent company cares very much about what is happening in their sales floor. But if they do, I am more than happy to show them all of the texts. Between all of the people I have spoken with. Run away from this company

I initially reached out for a trade in quote and had very little follow up. Compared to out of town dealerships, communication and effort just were not there. It was not until I met Jasmine at the fair that things started moving. She helped get the process going, but even then, follow up was delayed. At the dealership, the process took about five to six hours. Negotiations felt typical, starting low on my trade despite a higher initial quote. After going back and forth, they did come up significantly, but I felt like I had to push harder than expected. I was also on a time crunch, which did not help. Financing moved quickly, which can be good, but it felt rushed. The process was done in Spanish without asking my preference, which I should have spoken up about. A few details were not clearly explained before signing, which left me with some frustration afterward. Post sale support also fell short. I reached out about swapping or removing the running boards, and while they offered help, it came off more transactional than supportive, especially after just completing a deal with them. At the end of the day, I got the truck, but the experience did not match the level of service I have seen at other dealerships. My advice is to shop around, get quotes from other areas, and use that as leverage if you plan to buy local. Toyota of El Centro has the potential, but improving communication and customer care would go a long way.

Put that together with the notes/goals on your glass door to push your sales team to write up more services and you get what you offer in this department. They call dealerships like Kia Imperial Stealer-ships. As I waited in the service office, I heard the two other salesmen in the room offer the same "extra services" to all customers. Which, if accepted, would change a simple service/oil change of $109 into a massive bill of $800 + for services which it appears that all of us then needed at the same time???? You offered the same added 'opportunities' to all five of us in the service office. One poor young lady was 'forced', 'coerced'  into choosing 'just two' this time and maybe two the next time- she only came for a simple service...!!!??? Now she is stuck without groceries for two weeks because of your high-pressure sales techniques.  SHAME ON YOU!!!    I am incredibly disappointed in this dealership ever since they removed Jeff Alford as the GM. I look forward to sharing this with KIA corporate. You folks are shameless- sin-verguenzas. I am glad that my two Kia's are now approaching the end of their warranties so I won't feel guilty just going to an honest local mechanic that won't try to 'force me into ridiculous extra services. By the way- the video's that you send out, are only as good as the effort that you put into  making them. The ones I received were not done well.- the audio was almost not there- no explanation of what I was seeing and why it might be important to authorize the ever-appealing cabin airfilter replacement. For how much? double the price of Autozone or O'reilly's ... Plus labor of - for an act that you have already completed when you removed it and showed me the evidence of a poor filter and then put it back...??? How do I even know that you are showing me my filters and not just a pile of old filters that you have already swapped out?  - Those are the questions raised when you can't trust your dealership!!!  Try Building TRUST! That brings returns- not coercion - That loses customers- when you lose a 'twice hooked' KIA owner- You start to see the value, or lack of it, of your failed programs.  David Chamberlain

In my experience, his attentiveness and honesty were well displayed by the fact that he took on a job and did it on time for an extremely fair price. Cleaning out an exhaust gas recirculation system is something a lot of garages simply don't want to do, and will become dishonest when facing a request to do so. I have experienced this with some businesses for whom I have left appropriate reviews detailing as much. One business even immediately tried to convince me that an engine replacement was obviously necessary. 2 days ago, a 304 code was showing that my fourth cylinder was misfiring for some reason. Mr cisneros took the time to comply with my request to examine my EGR system and confirmed that the first three intake manifold ports were blocked significantly, routing an overflow of air to the fourth cylinder and causing that misfire. A combination of free code readings and YouTube videos and a replacement of spark plugs not solving the issue made this EGR clean out a very likely solution to my problem. Indeed, I have gone from about 35 miles per gallon and a knocking engine at low accelerating RPMs yesterday to over 50 miles per gallon and an engine that purrs ever so gently if audible at all today. I was pretty sure of the problem and the solution, but Mr cisneros is the person who made it possible. I can't recommend his services enough, and I hope that other people have a chance to enjoy the same experience that I did! My dented Prius has 200,000 miles on the odometer, but thanks to Mr Cisneros, it's still a young car.
