I had a very uncomfortable and unprofessional experience here. A salesman named Abraham made inappropriate comments and crossed professional boundaries during our interaction. At one point, he asked to take a photo of my bank account showing my payoff amount using his personal phone, which immediately raised serious privacy concerns. When it became clear that no deal would be made, I asked him to delete the photo. He claimed he already had but refused to show me proof. Because of this, I had to involve his manager to ensure the photo was actually deleted. Once negotiations officially ended, Abraham's demeanor changed completely and became even more unprofessional. The entire experience felt invasive, disrespectful, and concerning from a customer privacy standpoint. Based on this experience, I do not recommend this place. But their website is a bait and switch with the same car that was posted in Ford and Honda San Diego websites as well and that car is not available in El Centro. Was in town shopping for a Corolla with my girlfriend at United Toyota up the street. Didn't find anything there and happened to see a used one on this dealers website so we decided to drive over just to check it out since it was listed. We arrived and were immediately greeted by Alberto I believe. He quickly asked if we needed help with anything so I let him know I saw a Corolla on their site and that I was interested in checking it out. He immediately asked and assumed that it if it was for my girlfriend, to which I said no, it was for me. His response, "oh really? That's a little feminine no?". What a weird thing to say to someone who is trying to give you business. Brushed it aside and continued with the interaction. He went to go check the stock number and it turns out, it was at another store in Chile vista. No worries, I took a quick peek on the site so that was my bad. He immediately said "that's okay though, we can start the process anyway" as if the sale was made and I didn't need to see the car. Let him know that I wasn't interested in doing that, it's a big purchase, of course I'm not just going to buy a car because I walked into a dealer looking to see it in person. He understood but then immediately got back to the unnecessary commenting about the car being feminine apparently to him and trying to sway me to buy a Honda civic because that's more of a man's car and "a Corolla is for someone like her" while pointing at my girlfriend like she can't see or hear him. At this point, I let him know I wasn't interested in it anymore and that I have plenty other dealerships to look at. I did not want to do business with someone like him. Ok I take my car in for a recall. They we nice and polite and actually finished when they said. Now my issue is that when I get my car back the radio and climate control system are both turned off. There is absolutely no need to adjust anything in my vehicle. My volume on my radio was at 5 so it's not like I was blasting music. My climate control system is never turned off and always set to auto. When I turn on my climate control it sounds like the fan is making tons of noise. I went back into the service area and spoke to the guy and he tells me all we did was programmed the computer. Well technically you turned OFF my climate control system so you did more than just programmed the computer. I will never go back to another Honda Dealership in my life they are all money making rackets. read more

Overcharge Alert. I requested a complete transmission fluid flush and refill ($210 with 10 Qrts of tranny oil). What I received was a simple 3Qrt. flush and fill Picture: dirty oil on the right is what was in my transmission after service had been completed. I removed the drain plug to check. I usually do not like to give negative reviews unless things went very bad. Nearly a year later, I learned the dealership's inaction caused me registration problems to the point that I have not been able to drive my truck for the past four months or risk it being impounded for expired tags. I received a Notice of Delinquent Registration from the DMV in October of 2020 (with late penalty fees) and I could not understand why since I never received the registration renewal and I never bothered to look at my plates (why would you?). I bought the truck in late February 2020 with the registration tags set to expire in May. I just learned that the DMV processed the sale in August of 2020. This is why I did not receive the renewal registration, the dealership did!!!! The dealership did not send paperwork immediately (they have up to 90 days) and with delays at the DMV due to covid, this made things worse. As I mentioned earlier I did not have a good purchasing experience, but it was similar to my other experiences. I had no issues with the salesperson, just the rest of the sales and finance team. They did the normal "suppress added costs verbally only to see it on the contract". The finance person started pouting when I did not want to buy the added cost!! Of course there was delay in the sales process when there should not have been. I purchased for the advertised price (there was minimal price haggling since it was a good deal on a used vehicle). My husband bought a used vehicle from this dealership in December 2020 and it is now June and we are still unable to get it registered due to the dealership messing up paperwork and dropping the ball time after time for months . This is my husband's only form of transportation and has had no choice but to drive the vehicle unregistered for the past nearly 7 months. The dealership is a joke and if it were up to me we would take the vehicle back and leave it on their doorstep. The amount of time and money it has cost us trying to fix this, and we still haven't even been able to register the vehicle, is absolutely ridiculous. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I can say this is the first time I've ever posted a five star review for a car dealership. My experience was with the Service Department (Santiago). I want to thank Imperial Valley Hyundai for making a difficult situation as painless as possible. In Early May 2021, I was driving between Arizona and California. Halfway in between, my relatively new 2020 Hyundai began making noises and screeching and losing power. I GPS'd the closest Hyundai Dealership, and took my car there. It died at the dealership as I rolled into Imperial Valley Hyundai in El Centro. I got a hotel for the night and had them look at it first thing in the AM. The dealership with Santiago as my Service Advisor, quickly diagnosed the issue, and determined the worst... the year old transmission was faulty and needed to be replaced. They gave me a loaner car (a really nice one at that!) and said they'd call in a week or so when my car's transmission was replaced. As many know, there's a major global shortage of cars and car parts due to a disruption in the supply chain, so I wasn't shocked when they called and let me know the transmission was backordered by a month (which turned into a month and a half) so I was to keep the loaner car during that time. Santiago kept me in the loop and communicated throughout the whole process. Of course it was covered under warranty, and I don't fault the dealership for the two months without my car. I'm working with Hyundai Consumer Affairs for some sort of compensation because ultimately being without my car for two months is their issue. The dealership did everything in their power to expedite the process. I have nothing but positive things to say about Imperial Valley Hyundai. Sadly I don't use them as my home dealership since I live 400 miles away, but I gladly recommend them to anyone. looking for sales\service dealership in the El Centro Area. With the whole Covid pandemic the trips to Riverside have ceased. I called up and was encouraged to bring it in right away and they would work with me. Of course online work got in the way so I called and dropped it off last night. I already had a quote by 5:00 pm. As soon as they were really able to give it a looksie of course the cost went up, not complaining it has 100,000 miles on it. Absolute worst experience I've ever had with any dealership. Me and my family went in and were "approved" for a vehicle lease after running the credit of my father and myself. We discussed monthly payments/the interest rate/terms and conditions and finally after 6 hours we were given a handshake and a deal they took the vehicle back to get washed and the contacts were being "printed for us to sign" we were promised it would be another 15 minutes until we were done. I had to pay $300 to add this vehicle to my insurance policy only go be told at the very end that the deal was off and the terms were changed. I wouldn't trust anything from this dealership especially from the manager Leslie. This review is specifically for the service and parts department. I had an amazing experience with this Honda. The people were extremely friendly and helped me with everything that I needed. They were very understanding and truly deserve a Helpful Honda title. I was visiting a friend in the area and my tire blew out. Unfortunately the actual wheel was left on the side of the road. I needed a new wheel, hubcap, and a few other parts. The Honda parts department, specifically Michael, was extremely helpful, informative, and patient. They helped me get my parts in a timely manner and answered any and all questions I had. They were extremely nice and kindly helped direct me to the service department for my next problem. I at first had my tires fixed elsewhere, but after getting them fixed, all the electrical went out. I could not lock my car or safely see anything on the dash. The parts department helped me talk to the service advisors as I had already been at this Honda for the past three days for various parts. They did not just instruct me to talk with service, they actually helped me along with the process. With COVID, I knew their schedule was tight, however, I was looking to go back home as soon as I could since I was in El Centro much longer than intended. The service department, specifically Richard, helped me and I was very satisfied with all of his and his crew's help. They were more than helpful and I was very satisfied with the entire process. They kept me updated on my car and was very understanding of my situation/timeline. They found the problem very quickly and helped me so much, I would give them ten stars if I could. This Honda was able to help me more than any Honda I've been to before. If I could always give them all of my Honda business, I would! After two months of harassment from them the deal did not go through, I returned the car and they returned my Corolla to which they lost my key and lost my car mats. I made an appointment to have the electrical checked out, I've owned my vehicle for 3-years and have been replacing the battery every year. As it turns out, honda uses a 51 battery in US cars, and a size 24 in canadian cars, the canadian cars have no issues. Electrical, alternator were fine. I had the tranmission & engine oil changed, Juan (Highly recommend) recommened I change the drive belt & injectors, I did so-i love my car, so it only make sense to replace items that wear & tear. I also spoke to Richard ( highly recommened) about new tires, he gave me his insight & feedback...GREATLY APPRECITATED! My interaction with both Juan/Richard was absolutely tremendous, both showed the cared about my vehicle as much as I did, and it gave me confort in that they were able to explain everything in detail and provided recommendations! I was on my way to LA from Mexico. on highway 8 as I accelerated my car started making a noise like if I had blown a tire. I pulled over checked the car and the tires were fine. I looked under the car and the covering under the engine had come lose and was hanging down like a big scoop making that awful noise. Oh my I thought I can't drive 200 miles with this situation. It was Friday afternoon.., I asked Siri for the local Honda dealer and there was one in El Centro 15 miles from there so I took a chance. When I arrived I was greeted by an angel named Richard Salinger he was able to immediately see my problem and said he could take my car right in an get it fixed. I was delighted. It was about 110 out. He showed us in gave us cold water and told us to relax. 40 min and my car was as good as new though my car is 18 years old. The customer service for the service department is awful. It's hard to reach an actual person by phone. The receptionist fields calls for the service advisors who seem to just want to avoid speaking to customers. The service advisors don't listen to your concerns and propose easy workaround solutions that don't resolve the issue you're having with your vehicle. I also waited an hour for the shuttle service and ended up calling a friend for a ride to work. You're better off getting your service from a third-party mechanic than coming to the dealer. I've owned two Hondas before this one but this will definitely be my last. Especially because I don't want to deal with the local Honda service department. read more

Paid them 1600 to replace the AC compressor and some hoses on a 2017 Honda. (A 2017 Honda that I bought in 2017 brand new with 5 miles on the odometer. No accidents. Clean Title) Wife paid and picked it up July 25 is gone for a month, so the car just sat in Calexico. When she gets back August 26th it doesnt work again. It is Monday August 26th given an appointment for Saturday. No AC till Saturday, and it is August. Their Facebook says they are hiring a Service Manager. When we first took it in the service advisor quit, they did not bother contacting the customers that service advisor was assisting. Did not bother distributing those customers to the other service advisors, so we were without any communication for days. I called their Sales Department and they felt bad, but that is all they could really do: feel bad for us. Your sympathy does not help anyone. They finally tell us what is wrong with it, and that it would take a day. That kept getting pushed back and back. They took so long they had to give my wife a free rental. We were given all the excuses: they were super busy; the parts were not in stock. I was so angry, but I didn't bother contacting them once they returned the car. We did pay 1600 to replace the compressor on a Honda that is not even three years old and they did give us the run around for two weeks, but we had the car back, my wife got to drive around in the Civic Hatchback for a couple of days (She fell I love with it we considered Trading in BUT F that now), and we thought it got fixed. We gave them so many chances, and I would not have written this review had they fixed it correctly and had they not give us an appointment for Saturday. Telling us that really they did not care about us. I was referred to this Honda by a family friend. I am based in Los Angeles and was very skeptical about traveling over 3.5 hours to buy a car. I was put in touch with the salesman Esgardo Hernandez and he was very attentive and understanding. I had never purchased a vehicle before and obviously I had so many questions. He answered every question and showed me the car I wanted just in a different color and made sure it fit my needs. The only problem was that the vehicle color I wanted was in transit and I would have to wait! He assured me that we could do the paperwork and I would receive a call as soon as my car was ready. I put my trust in him and he showed me my lease and finance options. At this point I got to meet the finance manager Oscar Palacios. He was very courteous and made me feel like family. I explained my situation to him and he made it work according to my budget. Everything was done and I just had to wait for the car. I can say I texted the salesman every other day and he replied every single time. About a week later I got a call saying my car would be ready the next afternoon. I took the 3.5 hour ride to Imperial Valley. I got there and as soon as I exited out my vehicle I see Esgardo walking towards me and pointing at my car! Oscar was right behind and gave me my car key! They put the temporary registration and license plate and I was done and driving away. Thank you for all the help Esgardo and Oscar you guys made this a great and easy experience. We bought a 2016 Civic and a 2015 CR-V three weeks ago. A tire sensor on the CR-V started giving us the low light since the following morning after purchase. All they ever did was pump up the tires, reset the low light and send us on our way (x2). I told them that it was rediculous that the sensors kept going off. Today, 180 miles from home, it goes off again! Here is the reason for the 3 stars, this dealership actually checked the tires and found a nail in it. If they would've just fixed it from the begining, I would've given 5 stars because the guy was very helpful. But, he just said, "it is not covered and if we fix it, it would cost a lot of money". I told him it was ridiculous since it was obvious that the nail was there since we bought the car. He did guide me to America's tire a few miles away.
