Other places were only willing to quote me on cost to run tests or they did not do work on my make model. Very satisfied I decided to go with CB to have my A/C compressor replaced. 1 day turnaround. Extremely friendly and very smooth process. Great communication over phone and via text with photos, videos and clear work order you can approve or decline suggested items. I also like that they are closed on weekends so it means they care about their employees and respect peoples time. Open from 7-6 so manageable for most to be able to drop off and pick up m-f. Shuttle service offered. I didnt need but nice to know. Would go back. Ps service is guaranteed.

Now other shops are quoting $12k to fix the bigger issue caused by the service. Skip the door holding when you leave and go to walmart next store. it's the same work with nicer work clothes.

I dropped my husbands car off on Thursday to have a transmission leak looked at and they informed…read moreme that I'd have to leave it here because they were understaffed due to covid-19. No big deal. My husband and I are both out of a job so we didn't need two cars. A day goes by then another then another. I don't hear anything from them till Monday morning through a phone call saying they found the leak it would be $300 and there were a few other things wrong with the vehicle as well that would total to $1,300 I told them "wow ok well just do the leak for now" I go to pick up my car later that day and the man gives me a total of $1,300. I inform him no I just had a leak fixed and he said no you agreed to have all of this fixed. Instantly I'm crying making a fool out of myself because I don't have that kind of money considering my husband and I are both out of work. He says "I can call the owner and see what he can do if you leave it here an extra day" so I left it there an extra day. They call the next morning and tell me we can bring it down to $900 but we can't give you the car without it and we can't cut into the labor of our workers. They have NO PHONE RECORDINGS. No proof of anything. And the owner Jim Reap refuses to bring down the cost even though there was a communication error and no proof of who said what. Basically what I'm saying is if you really feel the need to bring your business here BRING YOUR HUSBAND OR FATHER WITH YOU. And DO NOT AGREE TO ANYTHING OVER THE PHONE.

Initially, communication was good and pricing was fair with discounts When I picked it up my car on August 13, 2025, it immediately had issues to include not starting on the first start, A/C issues, rough idle, running hot, and a speed limiter error. The next day, they admitted to missing a vacuum hose and incorrect settings related to the shocks, which they fixed. However, the car continued running poorly, ran hot, and had ongoing starting issues. I returned the car on August 21st. They kept it for 10.5 weeks without resolving the problem, with very poor communication. Then they sent it to another shop (not one I approved) for an additional 6.5 weeks. After 17 weeks total, the starting issue was still not fixed. I picked up my car on December 12th and within miles of picking it up, the check engine light came on. A different shop I chose later, looked at my car for 15 minutes and found that the PCV system was installed incorrectly and the car still had a stock tune. After correcting those, the car runs much better, runs cooler, but the starting issue remains, and is most likely a cam sensor. Not only did I have to pay my car payment and insurance for the 4 months I was without my car, but I also had to pay another shop to tune it and fix the PCV system. I tried to address this issue directly with the owner before leaving a review, but he was defensive, and unwilling to work toward a resolution. I also submitted a complaint to the Better Business Bureau in hopes of resolving the matter. After spending thousands of dollars and dealing with months of delays and poor communication, I cannot recommend this shop, and I won't even use my loyalty rewards to get a free oil change at this point.

As I generally try my best to stay away from the dealership, I took to Google and Yelp reviews to find a reputable shop to perform maintenance on my vehicle. My search brought me to Import Auto Experts. Making the appointment was a strange experience. I spoke with someone named Jeannie who was very pleasant on the phone. I informed her that I wanted to schedule an oil/filter change and a battery replacement. She scheduled me and attempted to end the call (in a very professional way), but she never asked for the year/make/model of my vehicle which I thought was weird, so I spoke up and asked, as I wanted to ensure the technicians were using the parts that that I requested. After I asked, she sounded surprised at herself for not asking. No big deal at all. Within a couple hours, she called me back and asked which battery I wanted to purchase. She provided prices, but no information on the battery specifications, so I had to specifically ask. Again, not a huge deal, but I'm used to this information being given up front. Accessing the shop was easy, and there was lots of parking. Their waiting area is nothing special, but it was clean and quiet. I was the only person in the waiting area, so it was fine. If there were more than a few people in there, I don't think I'd want to sit there. Too cramped. After I checked in, I gave my keys, and they said they'd let me know when it was ready. I thought it was strange because they did not have me sign a quote before beginning the work. I thought this was required by law, but perhaps it was a state law and not applicable in Arizona. Also, if something regarding prices changes after the vehicle is in the possession of the shop, I thought they had to contact the customer to let them know of the additional costs before starting the work. Anyway, I basically went in without actually knowing the exact price for the quoted work other than the battery and battery replacement - which turned out that the quoted price I received for the battery was $130.99 and my paid invoice says that I paid $143.99. I personally don't care that much about $13, but if some people might, so that's why I'm mentioning it. I didn't speak up about it at the time as they wanted me to pay before I even saw the invoice. It's mostly on me for paying without asking to see the invoice before tapping my card. The bigger disappointments were discovered when I got home. After arriving at home, when I went to gather my things, I noticed that my seat was a little dirty. Nothing that couldn't be cleaned up with a damp towel. Then I noticed there was a dark liquid substance on my door handle. I'm thinking either the technicians hands were dirty, or perhaps the silver foil was removed from the bottle of oil near my vehicle and it splashed on it as it wasn't that much. These weren't big issues as I easily was able to clean it up myself, but the bottom line is there is clearly some lack of processes that either aren't being followed or don't exist at all. I don't take my car in for maintenance/repairs for it to have to clean up after them. Overall, the prices for my oil change and the battery swap were fair, and the work was done in a timely manner. I'll probably go back and give this place one more chance. But if the end experience is the same, I'll probably try to find another shop.

They could not diagnosis my car, so my husband had to send over the diagnosis that he got from his FIXD block and app. That should have been my first red flag. They had my car for 5 days, and when I drove it home, it was running worse than when it went in and I barely made it home. They had it towed back, came up with more reasons to go into my engine, claimed it had all these things wrong with it that were not there before they touched it, and did not prioritize fixing it as it should have been on a return. The people are shady and cause more trouble then they fix. I do not trust them at all. What should have been an $800 spark plug replacement turned into $3600 and 11 days without my car. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR YOUR MONEY! Give those hard working mom and pop shops your business. I learned my lesson the hard expensive way and will never do business with these crooks again.
