But they will not give you access as they don't want people hanging around taking up seats, but no one was there. OMG, great pastry. For the past three or four years, I have travelled each Saturday to the Fort Pierce farmers market to collect from this bakery one pecan roll. My experience often migrated to an elephant ear, a cinnamon roll and a pecan roll because the pastry is so damn phenomenal!! We finally went to their shop and it was totally amazing. Very beautiful goodies, tasty and decadent! Good breads, too. I especially enjoyed the almond macaroons! They also have several vegan and gluten free items and that is especially appreciated! However, the server attending the counter was beyond rude, he was so condescending and when I had trouble with my credit card he said it must be that you don't have enough money in your account to cover your bill. What a wonderful old school bakery! We ordered a double fudge cake for a birthday party and it really was the best chocolate cake we ever ate - and we have tried them all! Diana was a joy to work with. We also brought home a quiche Lorraine and it just melts in your mouth. You need to call two days ahead to order a cake but it is so worth it! read more

So...the main reason I like this place is because of the almond croissants. They. Are. Delicious. If you are looking for a finely made, flakey pastry then you're out of luck. If you're looking for a large not-so-old croissant stuffed with almond past and covered in sugar, then you're very much in luck. Also, they have some pretty good, cheap coffee. Delicious turkey BLT with broccoli cheddar. Everything is fresh. Diana was very friendly and funny. She made fresh cannolis right there just for us and they were super good. I don't know...the coffee is decent I guess. I came for lunch and ordered a specialty sandwich (the grinder) which was just okay. It'd be nice to see this place make their menu a bit more diversed or have some unique items that would attract people. At 1:11pm 05/24 Just walked in thier to get a quick exspresso, the girl at the register did not acknowledge me or even say boo, she was preoccupied at the register mind you I was the only one standing there! At the very least she could have acknowledged me or told me to hold on a sec !! Worst!!! If I could give this place zero stars I would. This place was horrible! Came in for breakfast and ordered a BLT. While they made it I looked at the pastries to take a few home. The pastries all looked old! I think they were all leftover from the day before. I was so mad when I watched them make my BLT. They microwaved store bought pre cooked bacon, used 2 slices of tomato, and 1 small piece of lettuce for $8! What a rip off! I couldn't even eat it because the bacon was so greasy and disgusting. After being disappointed w/ 95% of the bakeries I've checked out within an hour of where I live (9 miles from here), I just thought it would be the same predictable, kinda bland baked goods that most places sell. I love Roma in PSL too, but this place is different than an Italian Bakery, which they aren't. They have a flair for mixing the traditional with the new. They have everything from croissants, muffins, strudel, cinnamon buns, cheesecake, amazing macaroons, breads, sandwiches and much more. WOW! Finally found decent bread in my new home of PSL. The staff is friendly and helpful, the place is clean and bright. The choice of breads, rolls, croissants, muffins, cakes, tarts and pastries is bountiful. They make breakfast and lunch sandwiches, paninis, soups and salads. My only personal con is that out of the three locations, the closest is 14 miles away. I suppose I'm going to be going through some gas. read more

I am from Los Angeles visiting my parents for the holidays. I needed a cake for a birthday and got a Tiramisu from here. I am spoiled by bakeries in LA so I didn't think I would enjoy this cake but I was very impressed! The cake was delicious and not too sweet. Everyone enjoyed the birthday thanks to it and I am making this place my go to bakery for every time I visit. Their pastries are better than many high end bakeries I've tried in LA. Tried it out for the first time this week and really enjoyed it. The staff is SUPER FRIENDLY and plenty of parking. Everything looked delicious. I had a soup and sandwich combo and everything was fresh and tasty. They have a good coffee selection and their french vanilla flavor was very good. Stopped by yesterday for breakfast. Great selection of pastries and cookies. I had a ham and egg on a croissant. The croissant was the best I've had. Very soft and flaky. They melted the cheese over the top of the croissant which I thought was interesting and it definitely worked. I grabbed a slice of quiche and a few pastries for after dinner. All very good. They have a store in Stuart, Florida. Ordered my wife a Cannoli Cream Cake for her birthday, awesome size for the price and it was the hit of the festivities. Mother in-law who is Italian born and raised dubbed it the best she has had. The selection and quality of items is delicious to the eyes and palate. I come here a decent amount and the staff is always alright. I mostly go on a Saturday but decided to stop in a little before 4pm on a Tuesday. The cashier was VERY rude and got mad because we wanted Easter cookies when she didn't order enough. She kept saying sly comments about it and I told her we didn't really need them then. She insisted we by them so we just did. She kept going on how she wouldn't have any left. She pretty much yelled at us cause she was trying to do her food order and we were in her way. I don't know maybe she was having a bad day or something but over all this was the WORST customer service I've EVER experienced and I usually go here 3-4 times a month. Stopped in for a morning coffee with a coworker. There is parking nearby but you will more than likely have to walk a short distance to get to it. It is located in the heart of downtown Ft Pierce. Importico's baked goods were in a couple of display cases and some items had run out (early bird gets the worm first?). Additionally some of the commercial sized coffee urns were either completely empty and very low. There is not any WiFi available but there are television sets. The staff working the counter was attentive and pleasant. Even though it appears that they do bake on-site, there was not that "aroma" associated with freshly baked goods. Perhaps the baking occurs at a different location and is delivered?? Customers who ordered food (breakfast and/or lunch sandwiches) seemed not to wait too long before receiving their order. Most carried out their food for consumption somewhere else. There are plenty of tables and ample seating. Overall the coffee was decent and the physical establishment clean. Prices are reasonable. Importico's just didn't do it for me. read more
