    Plain bagel

Stopped in for a quick bagel and had a great experience. The bagels were fresh and full of flavor, and they offer a wide variety of cream cheese options, which was really nice. I also tried the Philly cheesesteak--it was good overall, but could use a little more cheese. The service was great and very quick, making it an easy stop even on a busy day. It's conveniently located in the plaza near the main road and has that cozy hometown bagel shop vibe that I love. They also offer a nice selection of baked goods, which is a great bonus. Definitely a solid local spot worth checking out

I stopped by here for a quick bagel while running errands and I am so glad I did as they were some of the best ever! We had a salt bagel and a wheat bagel and both were delicious. One thing I don't like about some bagels is that they are too chewy and hurt my jaw but these were light and fluffy and delicious. It is a very nice store and they have ton's of options for bagels and spreads and sandwiches. They also have lots of sweets to choose from so there is something for everyone. It is a clean store with a handful of tables if you decided to eat in. The service was okay but I think the person making my two toasted bagels was new as it took her quite awhile to make them. Two people came in after me and ordered bagels and got theirs before me so not sure what was happening. Regardless, I placed a large order for pick-up the next day with some of the flavored cream cheeses for my extended family and everyone loved the bagels and the cream cheese. We got a mix of bagels and the vege cream cheese, blueberry and apple cinnamon and all were delicious. I would highly recommend giving this place a try, some of my favorite bagels I have tried in a long time.

**INITIAL REVIEW** Thanks to my friend Paula, I recently learned that today is National Bagel Day. In short, I wasn't planning on eating breakfast on my way home from my overnight shift, but I guess National Bagel Day is a good excuse to eat some delicious bagels. Of course I had to pick a local spot, and since I am rarely in the mid and south parts of St. Lucie County, why not a bagel joint there, right? I did a quick search via Yelp on the top restaurants that serve bagels, and on top of the list via Fort Pierce was this location, Treasure Coast Bagel Bakery. Not only was it a local joint, it happens to be highly-rated among my fellow Yelpers, especially the Elites. Ergo, I had to check them out. Though an address is provided, Treasure Coast Bagel Bakery (which I will shorthand to TCBB for the remainder of the review) is located in the Linkside Shoppes plaza, right between West Marine and Workout Anytime. Upon entering the small establishment, you can see the kind of aura and personality TCBB is aiming for with its display cases, color scheme, and modern art: a somewhat upscale bodega diner in New York City. One display case had all the bagels, which are advertised as New York Style. From what I was able to count, there were 17 different varieties/flavors. Another display case had an assortment of baked goods and pastries. Finally, the last display cold case had different kinds of pasta and fruits salads, cream cheese flavors, and the bulk Boar's Head meats. The small bread display on the top of the cold case had me interested as it showed off their "flagels" which I assume is half-bagel, half flatbread. Nevertheless, it was a cool concept but I stayed with the traditional style. My order from TCBB was their breakfast special: a bagel sandwich with Boar's Head prosciutto, egg, and cheese (bagel of choice was marble), two bagels (asiago cheese and jalapeno cheese), two 1/4 cups of cream cheese spread (jalapeno cheese and lox). brown cinnamon sugar iced coffee, and Natalie's orange-mango juice. I will say that the breakfast special sandwich was very good. I kept it simple and stayed with the core ingredients. I am sure if I customized it to my liking, it would be better, but I wanted to taste the sandwich at its default. Only gripe would be that it was definitely not bodega-sized. It definitely needed a lot more meat especially at its price. The two bagels and cream cheese, which I ate later were fantastic. I did split up the two over the course of the afternoon, but I did finish it. The iced coffee was definitely a sweetened drink for purest coffee drinkers. Imagine someone ordering only pure coffee with basic ingredients and that is how sweet it would be. That was my brown cinnamon sugar iced coffee. A good amount of strong coffee with cream and brown sugar, but definitely an "Americano" by the term. And you can't really go wrong with Natalie's right? Ultimately, my initial visit to TCBB was excellent. Did the bagels taste exactly like a New York Style bagel? Nope, not exactly. You have to get New York water to pull that off and well... we are in Florida. And even if TCBB imported New York water, the climate would affect it too. Still, it is pretty damn close and pretty damn good. For now, I am giving TCBB four out of five stars. I have to take into account this is just one visit. Ergo, I need to make a couple more visits, probably for their lunch menu which I hope they serve early because their breakfast is my dinner. If they stay consistent or are even better with their lunch menu, I will give them their fifth star.

Marble bagel with veggie cream cheese

Clean lil place. I'm not a bagel connoisseur, I don't go out of my way to eat one. Today Husb wanted to come here, I had a marble with veggie cream cheese. The bagel seemed lighter than others I've tried; the veggie cream cheese was best ever, nicely balanced and no scallion overboard. Actually enjoyed it. Husb had a salt bagel same cheese he really liked. Service was friendly and efficient.

The Reuben on garlic bagel toasted was delicious. Soon as I walked in I was greeted. The atmosphere was very relaxed and chill. Everyone was kind but most importantly the food was good.

I've seen the signs for years but was never really in a position to stop and actually go food shopping. Well, today was the day. We ended up visiting two places, including Mia's Italian Market, to try out a few different Italian options. It's located in a shopping plaza that's easy to spot while driving by, and parking was simple enough. When you walk in, there's a display case of prepared foods to the left, and shelves on the right stocked with various Italian specialty items. Oddly enough--but kind of cool--there's also a seating area tucked behind the shelving if you want to order food and hang out there. You have the option to pick up prepared foods to heat up at home, or you can order them hot at the counter and enjoy them at one of the tables. I usually like to mention when it's my first time visiting a place, just in case they have some recommendations or a popular dish they like to push on new customers. I'm always intrigued--especially when it comes to amazing Italian food from someone who grew up in an Italian family. But instead, he asked me where I normally go... which was a little awkward. Honestly, I go wherever is convenient. I prefer cooking about 95% of the time, so buying premade food from anywhere is pretty rare for me. That said, would I come back? Absolutely. I noticed a few other items that caught my eye, but I didn't want to go too crazy buying a ton of things all at once. Luckily I don't live far, so it's not completely out of the way for a return trip.
