This assumption was correct, but my food's presentation was the equivalent to what you'd serve a dog. I ordered the egg salad club with a side of fries; if you're searching for an establishment that cooks with love just leave. The egg salad was unseasoned and I'm unsure that half-smashed boiled eggs constitutes as egg salad. The fries were piled on top as if a tired teenage McDonald's worker was cooking it up in the back. My partner also agreed that their tuna melt was unseasoned. As we were leaving we decided to take a peek at the baked goods. In a final attempt to give this place the benefit of the doubt, we eyed a delectable looking chocolate chip cookie. I called over the employee behind the bakery counter to which she begrudgingly trudged on over. I took another look at the display to solidify what I wanted, but I noticed something unappetizing. FLIES. Not one fly, multiple flies having their way with the baked goods. We told her never mind and left the establishment. Never again will I step foot in this atrocity.

The deli special, Reuben, and any sandwiches with brisket or corned beef and coleslaw are some of our favorites. I got pancakes here once and that's probably the only thing I wouldn't get again... super dry. Stick to the delicious French toast instead. We like the low salt Bagel Bar uses in dishes that other restaurants typically make way too salty. Just good food without needing to hide behind salt. On nice days, the patio gets filled up, but it's often too hot and we're more comfortable inside, either at one of the tables or bar seating. We've also stopped here a few times to grab a matzoh ball soup or baked goods like a fresh baked black & white cookie to go. You can generally expect to pay around $17 per meal, and you can definitely expect to leave completely stuffed, sometimes with leftovers to take home.

The owner, Kriztina, is a pastry chef from Belarus who recently opened the shop. With their cozy inside space and outside tables facing NE 183 Street in Aventura, it's a great place to enjoy pastries and casual brunch staples. For me personally, I also had the opportunity to practice my Russian! I started by enjoying a regular Americano coffee no sugar, perfect after the gym. Next up, served with two pieces of baguette, I enjoyed their spinach shakshuka. In case you're not familiar this was a delicious bowl of melted Parmesan cheese, two eggs and spinach. Equal parts tasty and a source of protein! I can't finish a meal without dessert, I enjoyed their "svirniky". This traditional Eastern European dessert is essentially a cheese pancake served with sour cream and spoonfuls of a cherry compote. I would definitely recommend; it's satisfied my sweet tooth without being overly sweet! Since the best way to learn a language is not just repeat the phrases on Duolingo, I mentioned to Kriztina that I'm learning Russian.
