Everyone involved from the office staff, initial underwater inspectors who located the leaks, to the men who did the repairs and, of course Gene himself, were efficient, respectful, professional and did an AMAZING job!!! The job took several days, and each evening when they left, my backyard was spotlessly clean, the long trench they had to dig to replace pipes was covered. They were quiet and unobtrusive, took their breaks in their truck. I have NEVER had a home improvement project go this smoothly. Had this company complete a leak detection last year, my impression, unprofessional, shoddy business. They came in and marked the area that I told them the leak was coming from, cut plumbing to do pressure checks, then did not repair the plumbing... provided a report stating no other leaks was discovered, totally missing 2 leaks that was later found by another leak detection company 9 months later. The office manager,to which I will not call by name, completely clueless, can't send emails, or forgets, later claiming the invoice may have gone into spam... did not return calls after repeatedly calling. My experience with this company was very bad, I would not recommend them to anyone. Why wait so long to provide a review?? Well, a whole summer and winter gone by, here I am, the beginning of another summer season, and I'm dealing with leaks that should have been detected last year... Thumbs done... read more

I have a new liner on my pool which was damaged by renters. When i made the appointment with this company to detect and repair the leak ($450) they didn't mention that I needed to provide matching material in case of needed repairs. The repairs were done but the color doesn't match. If it was an old lining I would let it go, but since it's very new it bothers me. Now they want to charge me $250 an hour to change it. Bad business model. I am not happy. read more

I knew my pool had a leak for about a year but I couldn't find it. I shopped around for companies and found some a little bit less expensive but they don't check everything. I went with In_Depth and I am glad I did. They were awesome. They got on their dive suit and pulled off all lights, jets and drains and checked everything including pressure testing all the plumbing. Gene Pullin and his team are fantastic!! We bought a home in Clayton in 2018. Within a year, it was apparent our pool was leaking. In-Depth performed a very thorough pressure test of the entire plumbing system (above and below ground) and an underwater inspection of the structure, and quickly determined the the pool had a 4-foot crack that had been minimally repaired by the previous owner. After receiving multiple quotes from other contractors, we selected In-Depth because of their professional conduct and responsiveness. We were not disappointed. The In-Depth team always showed up on time, they were very courteous, and always left the workplace clean. Within three-days, they exposed the crack (and another we located), inserted solid steel staples to keep the crack from widening, epoxied the staples, re-packed the crack with Xypex, and applied Pebble Tech to match the finish. The pool looks great and has not lost a drop of water since!! I highly recommend In-Depth. read more

Bottom Line: we will not hire them again and do not recommend them. Summary If you hire these guys you will have to babysit them. If anything goes wrong they will deny it and blame you. Do not let them near your pool equipment without supervision. And be prepared to be hounded for payment starting before the work even begins and with every contact you have with the company - "Have you paid yet? When are you going to pay?" Details The work was fine. It appears to have been done well and in just a few hours. That's the good part. Now the bad parts. We were given a window of 9:30 - 10:30 for an arrival of the repair team. The guys showed up at 8:45. We had guests and didn't want them starting the noise until more like 10:00 - well within the window that they gave us. We called the office and the woman threatened us that if we didn't let them start then it might run over and we would be charged for an extra day. Huge red flag. And of course she asked for payment although they hadn't done anything. The company started asking for payment before the work even started - twice. And then three more times in the hours after it was finished - big, huge red flags. This wouldn't have been a big deal, but the repair guy messed with the equipment in the pool house and turned off the solar and changed the settings on the system. So the solar is off, pool temp is dropping, and we can't get them to help. The next day they tell us the owner is coming by - great. Except it wasn't. He came by for one reason - to get a payment. He blamed us for the solar going off. That's always a great way to do business, blame the customer. He wouldn't hear anything I had to say. Ours is an old pool. It will leak again. I look forward to giving my money to a different company. read more

First Class! Great service, and I would use them again. My water bill had double for the last 4 months. I called the water company but they couldn't find a leak in my yard. In-depth Leak Detection sent someone out and they found a leak in my pool. It was a broken pipe under the cement near the pool. This is an excellent company. The front line ladies in the office were prompt and courteous. Jeff and Blake were very thorough and explained everything to me in diagnosing where the leaks were - and I had a LOT of questions. Maclovio, Alberto, and Brian did the repair work. The matching of color and material they were able to do to my 30 year old cool decking and 15 year old exposed aggregate was incredible. It is a pleasure to write a few words of praise and approval of Gene (Poulin) and his crew. My pool was built in 1957, and recently developed a few leaks in the original copper piping. Gene was well up to the challenge of replacing the original underground pipes with PVC, and of designing and installing a whole new system upgraded to contemporary standards for a skimmer, a pool sweep, and both an additional return and intake line. Gene's word was good from beginning to end, both because he is an honest and pleasant person to deal with, and because he knows what he is talking about and gets it done with a minimum of fuss. Gene's crew was here a total of 7 working days, and always left the job site at the end of the day in the tidiest of shape. There was only one small change necessary in the contract as it developed, and Gene handled that change with a more than fair adjustment in the price. Bekki at in depth was very understanding and the company did not even charge a cancellation fee, even though I inconvenienced the technician and their scheduling. I have an old fiberglass pool and In Depth has found leaks four times. One was very hard to believe, but knowing where it was, I was able to fix it. I have never had a problem with any of the things that Isaac mentions. I was told of the cost of diagnosis but not asked for payment until it was finished. This company is outstanding! I had the pleasure of dealing with Bekki and Gene who were both very prompt and professional in their responses. Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with 5 Star Pool who failed to install a fitting properly at the bottom on my newly re-constructed pool which lead to a serious leak. I was losing 100s of gallons of water per day! I called In-Depth who quickly made arrangements for divers to come inspect my pool inch by inch.( BTW, the divers were great too!) A report was prepared shortly thereafter identifying all problems and their associated costs. Knowing I was desperate to have someone fix it ASAP, they had someone come over within the week. I love this company! Also, their price is fair and reasonable in comparison to what's out there. I initially called a leak detector within my city, and while they were very polite, they were not up to speed as In-depth was. They did not use divers; rather, old fashion methods and assumptions.
