I don't think I fully understood what a massage could be until I was given a massage by Maia Lee. Maia truly understands the body. Not just the innerworkings of the muscles, but the interconnectedness of the muscles, tendons, joints; the way the body communicates pain and other sensations. Her massages directly address the needs of YOUR body - this is not your standard back/arms/legs massage. She gets you where YOU need it. As she works on you, you can feel her looking for places within your body where it needs work. Never had I had someone massage my abdomen, around my diaphragm, or in my armpit. She was able to reach muscles I didn't even know could be massaged (should I repeat she massaged my abs and armpit!!). My partner and I have gotten massages from Maia twice and you can tell she really cares about her clients. Besides being able to find areas that need work, she will ask you about what your feeling, what your lifestyle is like, and adjust her massage as needed. She also is filled with handy knowledge on caring for your body which she shares with you. I'm telling you, this is more than just a massage. Even better is that she does house calls at a great price - honestly can't beat that! The last time we needed a massage she was able to come on the same day which was convenient given that my partner was dealing with back pain and stress. I have found the one! This MT is the real deal. I introduced her to my chiropractor and he agrees she is exceptional. I have chronic pain issues from arthritis and have tried numerous MT in the Tucson area. Ms. Lee is hands down the best. Thorough, attentive to changes in my muscles, strong with the trigger points when needed. She does not impose her personality and is a welcome guest in my home. She's busy and a bit pricey for some.
