Not sure why my review isn't posting so trying again. Samoyeds are known as the dog with Christmas in their hearts all year long! They are also the clowns of the dog world. They insinuate themselves into your world and your heart with their exuberance, clowning and their single minded desire to be with the family! That is the perfect description of Annabelle. She has been a member of our family for 13 years. In her youth she never minded going to "Doggy Camp" when we needed to be away from home. But her Senior years and the onset of arthritis and several other medical problems have made it very difficult for us to leave her in boarding ..no matter how good the kennel. We worried whenever we left the house for an extended period. Robyn and her team have been an answer to my prayers! From our first meeting I was impressed with her business and professional manner; the questions she asked and most important, her immediate acceptance by Annabell (of course the treats she brought were a none stop trip right to Bell's heart and stomach). Annabell is 80 lbs and sometimes needs help standing and needs a great deal of patience when walking and doing stairs...They have handled this without difficulty....they have adapted to Annabell's quirks easily..."The Queen" likes crushed ice and the fan on when she is left alone. Annabell's book is a great way to communicate on a daily bases. Robyn has been reliable, responsible, accommodating, flexible and kind. She is someone I have trusted in my home with the care of a special member of our family. I would recommend her to any pet owner who loves their pet. WARNING: My dog Murray was killed while under the care of Robyn and her incompetent dog walker. Any one who hires them is doing so at their pets risk. The walker's name was Melanie - I complained about her, to Robyn saying I wasn't happy with care, that different walkers came without my knowledge, and that on days when I was home Melanie wasn't walking Murray at the set time. I also noticed that Murray started urinating in the house under Melanies care. Robyn responded the that Melanie was the only walker she had for my neighborhood. I should have dumped her on that day. On a rainy day a few weeks later, I got a frantic call at work from Robyn saying there had been an accident and that I should get home quickly. She said she was on her way to my home. Long story short - my dog was hit by a car. My neighbors ran over to help my dog, but Melanie did nothing. She didn't call the police, she didn't administer CPR or first aid, she didn't put my dog in her car and get him the the vet - she just called Robyn. My neighbor took Murray to the vet in his truck.Before 11/16/11 Home Pet Services took care of 4 dogs in my building. On 11/17/11 they took care of zero. Oh, Robyn did pay for Murray"s cremation. read more

Robyn is a Godsend! I don't know what I would do without her, and Julie absolutely adores her! She starts looking for her an hour before she is due to arrive, looking through the windows of our window seat. I first found Robyn because I needed someone to help with Julie, a giant breed puppy in turbomode and in desperate need of exercise, when I was having surgery 2 yrs ago. Although Julie and Robyn probably aren't much different in weight, Robyn handles her with grace and ease. I know that I can trust her to show up at the agreed time and be "me" while I'm gone. She always has another one of her walkers trained on caring for my girl in case she can't make it. She has no problems feeding her the special diet Julie is on (raw meat and bones), and has often come at the drop of a hat when needed in an emergency. I don't know how I would have managed these past 2 yrs without her, and she even managed to teach Julie to play soccer, and be a great goalie! I have been using IHPS for years now. Robyn and her staff are outstanding. Not only is my dog Bear cared for when needed, but he is much loved as well. IHPS treats your pets like they were their own and I love that. They are reliable and trustworthy, which are essential. Flexible, which is great and very much appreciated as lives are busy and sometimes last minute things do come up that requires additional care for the pets. Rates are reasonable, whether they are walking or watching your pet. Their staff are all pet first aid and CPR trained, which is a lovely added bonus and if you have a pet with special medical needs--they can help out there too! They offer CPR first aid classes (add'l cost) for those interested in knowing what to do when and if you ever have to and I think that speaks to their devotion and dedication to the pets. I myself have taken the class and found it very informative. Can't say enough great things about them. My life and Bear's is easier with them in it. read more

I have been using In Home Pet Services for 11 years. Robyn is wonderful with my two giant breed dogs! They absolutely adore her! They wait at the window for her arrival and when they spot her there are all sorts of whines and squeals of excitement and the doggie dance of joy when she comes through the door. I know when I leave them in her care, or in one of her employee's care (Maggie specifically), that they are in excellent hands and that I can leave home and not worry about them. They are always prompt, and courteous. On several occasions I have needed their services on short notice and Robyn always accommodates me as her schedule permits. I have recommended In Home Pet Services to several friends over the years and I have always gotten positive feedback and everyone has been more than satisfied. I know that when my dogs are being cared for by the staff at In Home Pet Services that they are happy, safe and well cared for. read more

In Home Pet Services is a great dog walking service! We've only been using their services since July 2012, but we were so happy the first week and we've been more than satisfied with their abilities. We had never worked outside of the house and were concerned that our dog would not be happy being alone all day. We set up an hour walk every day via In Home Pet Services and fortunately, we can tell that our dog is happy, safe and well taken care of each day. His walkers leave us detailed notes about what they did. Not only did they refill his water dish during the hot summer, but they also brought in packages and were careful about drying him off after rainy day walks. When we lived by the water they would take him swimming too! All in all they would get a 10 out of 10 if that were the rating system, but I can unreservedly give them an EXCELLENT on their service and rates. In Home Pet Services, Robyn and Kathy my dog walker are a godsend. My dog Sadie loves going out on her daily walks with her new best friend, and I am glad not to come home to little "presents" left for me by Sadie. Kathy is thorough and reliable, she even left me a note about how Sadie did on the walks. Scheduling was easy, and Robyn was always available for schedule changes. They even came in the rain!!! Being fairly new to the Floral Park area, and far away from family to help during the day, i was in need of a reliable person to take care of my little girl. A co-worker gave me Robyn's card and I checked out the website, and was convinced that this was the right person for the job. When Robyn showed up for the consultation she was very organized and professional, and she asked many questions regarding Sadie's daily routine. I have a 13 1/2 year-old yorkie with clinical separation anxiety, who works himself into medical-emergency gastrointestinal episodes if left alone too long. Robyn and her staff have been part of his daily life for ten years now, enabling me to fulfill the responsibilities of my long work days and (gasp!) enjoy a social life without worrying about Brinks' health or safety. His pet sitter knows him almost as well as I do, and he has developed his own "rules" and communication with her. We had other sitters for the first three years of Brinks' life, but In Home Pet Services proved to be the most reliable, flexible, accommodating, and caring! I am a huge fan of In Home Pet Services Inc. - I have been a client of this company for over 6 years. When I moved to Oakland Gardens I needed someone to come in during the day and walk my pups as I work in the City and often come home late. Robyn and her staff are kind and extremely reliable and take care of my two dogs as if they were their own. Just wanted to write a follow up regarding an incident that happened yesterday. I am so glad I had In Home to rely on. My car got towed in the city and i would have been delayed for hours. I emailed Robyn & even though she was working a pet event all day, she responded immediately and within 5 min confirmed that she would be able to have one of Indy's walkers come take him out and feed him...this was on a Sunday at the last minute. In home pet services, and robyn and her staff are amazing. Vanessa came to walk my dog three times a day. He loved her and the walks. It is very hard working as a nurse to get home at lunch and walk him,knowing robyns staff is there to do this service put my mind at ease. They are so knowledgeable, and when i had a question robyn was on point with everything i asked.
